Well situated, 2 steps from Central station. Good wi-fi in rooms and common parts. Each bed has a dedicated closet (you have to bring your own locker) and a small very practical bed lamp. There is a nice and usually quiet common space separated from the kitchen. Overall clean in rooms and common parts (even if as usual, in the kitchen, some people are just spoiled and don't clean after themselves :/). HUGE common refrigerators in the kitchens provide enough space to everyone (which is not the case in some other hostels). Enough showers and WC. Hot water in showers. Enough washing machines. Friendly staff. The clients are a mixture of long-term stays and a bit older backpackers. You won't find the pub crawls and all-night partys here, but you will get a calm and confortable home. I particularly appreciated the fact that there were separate trash bins (recyclable - non recyclable) in the kitchen.

Power sockets in the common room were not working. The breakfast was very simple (some muesli, corn flakes, toasts, jam, peanut butter, vegemite, milk, juice). I would have appreciated to see some milk products (a big common jar of yoghourt ? cheese?) and some fruits (a bag of apples?). It would be more practical if the rooms had more power sockets : we only have one per bed and it is inside the closet. We should be able to open the windows a bit more. The air conditioner was waaaay too cold (19°C !). Don't expect too much from the Friday free pizzas : pizzas are from Dominos and are not very good (even if it is for free).

It has all you need. The building has 7 floors, and backpackers fluctuate a lot, so the facility is well adjusted to the number of people coming and going. Big kitchen, where everyone fits, with simple but plentiful breakfast each morning, you can leave there a luggage if you have a free morning before checking or afternoon before flight. Location. It's next to the train station, or metro (T), which is a few stops from the airport. A tram stop (L) is in front of the building, which can take you all the way to the harbour, Opera house. There is a bus stop that takes you to Bondi or Maroubra Beach.

I changed a room. There were quirks in the rooms that were unpleasant, but it happens in hotels, so it is o.k. A.C. unfortunately didn't work in one, in the second one, the bed light flicked and didn't work, wrongly installed locker, so the lock didn't fit in, but who locks it anyway.

This was my 4th visit to Australia. Actually, I didn’t expect much because of my first 3 experience staying in a hostel in Australia was terrible. Considering also that they offer the lowest price for Sydney the time that I booked them. But to my suprise, the hostel exceeds my expectation. Clean Bedroom with Comfortable Bed, Clean Toilet and Shower, Big Kitchen and Fridge, Near the Central Station, Near Haymarket. Comfy and Homey TV Room Also, one of the big factor as well that I enjoyed my stay is that the long stayers there don't act that they own the place. They are respectful, specially in kitchen. Would love to stay here again :)

Great staff, very helpful and lovely. The location is very convenient next to the central station where you can take the public transportation to anywhere. Also there is a light rail stop just in front of the hostel. Free breakfast is an advantage (basic but good enough to rely on). Great value for money in the heart of Sydney CBD. My overall experience was really amazing that's why I extended my stay for another week.

For me personally nothing at all.

Location was great- right outside a tram stop. The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and lockers were provided, the rooms were cleaned daily and kept to a decent standard. Room checks were done, checking aircon was correct etc which was really good. Toilets were cleaned regularly and really clean- nice showers, very spacious. Kitchen was clean. Lots of room and loads of seating. The fridges were a bit full. Also the free breakfast was good and refreshed regularly. Overall really good value for money!

The fridges were too full, could have done with some extra food storage space.

Location-wise it's hard to beat. Right by the lightrail station, and a 2min walk to the central station for trains and buses. Good amount of storage space for food in the kitchen, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Next time I come to Sydney, will definitely book here again.

Some of the showers could use improvement, the water often flooded a bit out of the stalls (although the water pressure was really good). There are not wall plugs by the bed, but there is one inside the lockers (which are a great size)

Location was superb especially if you are travelling to explore Sydney. 3 min walk to Central Train station, Tram is literally infront of the hostel! Aircon was superb! We even found it a bit cold, but better that than hot! It is perfect if you are a backpacker or traveling with friends and you are young. Mark you that the bathroom is not inside your room (just like almost all hostels) so make sure you are AWARE of that. NO issue on us on that one. Just had to wake up a little early to shower or shower the night before. They were very accomodating. Just want you all to remember that this is a Hostel not a Hotel. 10/10 <3 Would book again!

One thing but it was not much - the fact that the bathroom was on the other side of my room. Twas funny eventually but not bad.

Increase the quantity of toilet and shower of one more on each floor. There is no rack to put spectacles ,key etc . Also no washing shower soap provided. The door in the room makes noise when opening and closing. Me as a responsible adult when I close it inside I slowly close it little by little taking few minutes more so that no noise to disturb other guests inside the room when sleeping whilst people who do not understand the door they just open and close fast and the door makes noise. But nevertheless when I close it outside even slowly it makes noise .

Good thanks. Wasn't expecting free breakfast. I brought my own porridge though! Good systems for security and appreciated being able to leave luggage between checkout and airport. Staff were very helpful to me. Room quiet and people were nice. Enjoyed kitchen chat. Great location

I missed the common room. Maybe it wasn't operational? Room 608 had beautiful clean windows on one side but filthy on Other side. Probably too hard to clean? You don't have free food cabinet like Blue mountain yha of stuff people leave behind. I don't like waste. No one separated food from recycling or rubbish

Friendly and helpful staff! Location is on point! Close to train stations that will take you back and forth to the airport and tourist destinations. Free meager breakfasts and pizza (on fridays), comfy bed, decent bathrooms and a laundry room to boot, good enuf for me. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in town!

I wasnt made aware where the fire exits were, the kitchen being in the basement. Or maybe I just didn't see the signage. Some comments I read about guests really don't apply as they're not part of the place, cmon!
