Staff were lovely and catered to our needs. Thank you Nate! Beds were so comfortable, rooms were cleaned (besides the cleaner left behind one of their cleaning spray bottle in the bathroom lol I left it under the sink) prices were reasonable for huge space. The location- & Goldie’s mushroom pizza 😘 Lets just say- we will be back 🫶🏼

Noise after 12am but no biggie bed & pillows were so comfy I knocked out and couldn’t hear after that 🤣

Location is walking distance to everything around Surfers Paradise. We stayed in a Suite Room on the fifth floor (I think there were 11 floors in total) for three nights. The room presented just like the photos on the room advertisement show. It was a very spacious room with a comfy lounge, dining table, desk, kitchenette, floor to ceiling mirror and a smart tv that allowed you to log into your mainstream streaming services. The bed was comfortable, with power points on each side of the bed and the room was very clean. The rooms were made up with fresh towels each day. The Hotel staff were lovely and informative across the entire stay. Access to a balcony gave us an option to sit out there and relax in the afternoon sun. We chose this hotel because a friend was getting married here, the wedding was beautiful and the reception was wonderful - the food and drinks were all great too!

These points are all minor in the scheme of things: The lifts and hallways show the hotel’s age a bit and there was a fair bit of street & music noise in the evenings, which is a product of the central location. We stayed up on level 5 and the water pressure in the shower was a bit less than desired, but I like a decent amount of water pressure.

Great location!! Walking distance to everything. The room was spacious with a great view of Surfers. I loved the Rooftop Bar and the night life at the hotel. The pool was very decent sized. I appreciated the complimentary mini bar snacks and waters. The room getting cleaned daily was great. Also a 24 hour reception is also a bonus for our late check-in. Will definitely return!

You could notice that the hotel has been refurbished. The bathroom was a bit mouldy around the floor. The shower drain also filled up quite a lot, which indicates at the drain needs cleaning. The hallways in the hotel also needed vacuuming.

So central, close to light rail, so getting cheap public transport to and from the airport was incredible! Just 50c a trip at the moment so $1 to the airport in total. The room (deluxe twin room 930) was very spacious, two queens, luscious thick towels, extremely comfy beds, free chips & daily water bottles a lovely touch and the staff were delightful and friendly too. Nice pool, eating choices and great vibes. We had friends staying across the road at the Novotel and it looked shabby and tired compared to The Island Gold Coast! Would stay here again for sure if we visited the Gold Coast again.

Our only two feedback was no exhaust fan in bathroom wasn’t the best and our arrival night (Tuesday) it was very noisy from the street activity. However, the second night was fine, so perhaps unlucky Tuesday.

The location was perfect, close to shopping and the beach (Surfers Paradise). We went during schoolies so were nervous about it being loud but other when were able to watch the bustle from our balcony once we closed the sliding door we were able to block out the noise. The pool was perfect on the warmer days, the room was decently sized. Complimentary mini bar was appreciated, especially the provision of water bottles. Staff was kind (from reception to housekeeping to Goldie’s).

The bathroom has poor ventilation so it appears to be growing mould (I have emailed the facility privately about this but have yet to receive any response). The drainage is also poor, saturating the floor after a shower and requiring a full towel to mop it up. Might be an isolated room issue though, and it didn’t effect or enjoyment of our stay.

A very large room with massive king double beds for the twin room. Balcony was included. The room was soundproof from the rooftop bar which made for a very restful sleep despite being a Friday night in the middle of Surfers. Breakfast was nice. Very close to everything.

They do have an underground car park, but it is height limited so we parked in the car park adjacent to the property (cheap pay parking). I was worried about the car park being open, however there were no issues. Be aware there are a lot of patrons that attend the rooftop bar and you do pass the bar to get to the lifts.

They put us on a high floor away from the lobby. Fantastic room and super comfortable. A little noisy due to activities downstairs at the street level but we weren't bothered and slept really well. Great service by staff and they gave us extra hangers and cleaned our rooms when requested. Even topped up our free snacks supply which was a real bonus.

Mirror light wasn't working but this was no big deal. The shower floor was slightly problematic and water flowed out towards the toilet bowl and sink area which we preferred to keep dry. Also not an issue since we had so many towels to dry the floor off with.

Location was great - a few minutes walk to the main part of Surfers Paradise Beach, the Cavill Avenue shopping centre is across the road, and all the restaurants, bars and clubs you ever want. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Surprised me that room housekeeping wanted to clean my room at 9:15 am on a Sunday morning - a bit early, and well before the checkout time (I was already staying another night to Monday). Also found it odd that I couldn't reach the switches for the bedside lighting from the bed (physically had to get out of bed to turn them off) - but that's a room design choice not easily fixed by staff.

Really clean modern hotel , nice facilities, our check in lady was very nice and friendly upon arrival , we had notified we may get in the hotel a lot earlier than check in ,in which they advised they would accommodate if they could , were we delighted to find out on arrival much Earlier ,that they had our room ready and really saved us wasting hours of time about the Gold Coast with heavy bags , which was amazing ! Also provided a late check out of one hour free of charge which is excellent also , very close to the beach front main point with plenty of dining options and shopping centres within walking distance

Room was tastefully refurbished and had everything needed. Nice little balcony with view of water, pool and slingshot. Guy at reception was friendly and helpful. Good value for money given the very close proximity to cavill avenue when comparing with other hotels. Easy walk to everything happening.

Obvious signs of rusting on anything metal in the hotel, including around the lift area, but that's really just an aesthetic thing. Having to back out of the driveway (if not using the parking or getting dropped off by a friend as I was) was a little different. Overall, no huge issues.
