Friendly and helpful welcome by the lady on reception. Was shown 2 rooms one at the very front of the motel and another further. Both Deluxe Queen rooms. We choose the front room as it was in a nice sunny position and had use of the verendah. Room was large, clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities. Was the room was closet to the main road there was very little traffic noise at night. [ as the lady from reception advised]. Great location, short walk to town centre. Nice location overlooking the park great for an afternoon walk.

Nothing really other than the air con was struggling to keep the room warm on the coldest of nights [got down to -4 when we were there].

Manager was exceptional in trying to help out with a mixup with notification not coming through clearly from Booking.com that the booking was confirmed. In trying to confirm the booking I inadvertently booked again and was unaware until we arrived and made aware of the double booking. As it could not be cancelled she upgraded us to the most expensive room to help out.

Booking.com's confusing confirmation system. We booked 4 venues through their system on this trip but this one booking had a glitch with failing to confirm the payment went through for the initial booking resulting in a double booking.

Staff were genuinely thoughtful and customer service was of a high standard. The room was lovely and clean, freshly painted, decorated with tasteful simplicity which I like very much in a motel room. Everything that I could need was there- shampoo, tissues, hair dryer, iron, microwave, milk, hanging space, great reading bedside lamps, warm cozy room with heating and electric blankets. The bed was comfortable. We thought we paid a fair price and were extremely happy with our little room. I loved walking only a few steps from my car to my door for unpacking and packing! The tv was quite small but perfectly positioned to watch from in bed. I loved the white cotton quilt bedspread. Nice touch.

I didn't like the synthetic mink blanket. They don't breathe and I got a little overheated. No problem. I removed it. Most motels and airbnbs have them as they wash like a dream.

I was very impressed with Sky who checked us in. She was exceptionally friendly and helpful with advice on Italian restaurants nearby and giving us extra milk when requested. The room was lovely with a pretty view out towards the river.

There seemed to be a problem with their wifi. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't as well as being very slow. It certainly wouldn't put us off staying here again though.

The motel was very comfortable, exceptionally clean and Kate (owner) couldn't have been any more helpful. We arrived early but couldn't fit our car under the entry awning. Kate advised us of an alternate entrance. Kate gave us access to our room early as my husband was unwell. She then asked us if we needed anything as she was going into town. The motel was also in a great location with close proximity to town.

Nothing not to like - just don't judge a book by its cover. The building may not look like much but it was well worth our stay here.

It was everything you expect from a country motel, spacious, clean, and comfortable. The heating worked really well as did the shower. What really impressed me was the friendly professionalism of the manager who checked me in and out - showed me the room and where to park, as it was not quite outside the room, and showed me how everything worked in the room. Far better service than I get in a 5 star city name hotel.

Nothing could be improved

The room we were in had a beautiful view out a large window over the park leading down to a pretty creek. Although the hotel has obviously been there a long time it has nice furniture and is clean. It is right on the edge of the town centre so very easy to walk back through the shopping area or to the really nice beer garden close by.

I was very happy with our stay. Great value for money in a very clean older motel room with great views over the park and creek. Very happy to stay here again.

The motel was really good in terms of its location. I had a great view of the creek from my room. I had a comfortable and peaceful stay, and I appreciated the facilities that were available in the room (crockeries, cutleries, microwave, fridge and toaster) - was super useful as most of the restaurants were closed on Christmas eve!

Nothing really.

The room was well set out, had all the little bits and pieces that you need when you travel that you forget you need, ironing board, hairdryer, etc. Bed was really comfortable and the air conditioner was working a treat.

I would have preferred the door to the room had an additional lock to the key lock, e.g., a door chain. Being in the room at the end of the property which joined to the public nature strip, made me feel a little vulnerable, with out a double lock system.

Very clean bathroom in older style room that was both comfortable and had good facilities. Loved the location with big windows with a view of parkland and to a fast-flowing Quart Pot Creek. (Loved the ducks and the flocks of cheeky corellas). Located centrally with easy walking to dining venues, shops etc in Stanthorpe's Main Street. On arrival we were provided with a slip of paper with a list of dining options and relevant telephone contacts with a recommendation to book for evening meal. Loved getting this helpful 'insider' knowledge.

Updated air-conditioner could be more efficient on cool mornings.
