Loved the home like atmosphere, it felt like a big country residence, particularly with the lounge area upstairs and the pool room. Shelley our host was absolutely outstanding; she was warm, engaging and the best cook ever. Breakfast options were one of the best I have ever had and her all day help yourself baked goods and coffee, tea facilities were exceptional. She made everyone feel very relaxed and welcome.

NO AIR CONDITIONING! This can’t be dressed up with ‘it’s unseasonably hot’, which seemed to be the catch cry around the area. It was stinking hot in the extreme and for the five night we were there, particularly as our bedrooms were upstairs, it was not pleasant and sleeping was difficult due to the heat. There were also no screens on the windows and this then became problematic for leaving windows open at night.

The welcoming nature of the staff and their friendliness (Doug and Shelley ) made you feel at home; the tour guide Schnitzel was always happy to see you and come over to see how you are going. The recommendations from the staff to explore areas should be taken up - as we enjoyed going to the locations which were not on our original list. The meals were delicious; the breakfast options were plenty, in particular the muffins and muesli cereals and standard hot breakfast was my favourite. The facilities were warm with the wood heaters and plenty of areas to rest and relax, and socialise with other guests if you wish. Overall a great Country Inn to stay while you explore the Granite Belt.

Breakfast is a bonus to be included with the stay. Great food. Great place for couple wanting to get away from it all. For those that has pet and want to see the boulder and can’t go to National Park, Girraween Country in have their own land to explore the boulder. Very close to all the nice wineries. The host Shelley and Doug are very friendly . Definitely will be returning.

The only downside it’s the meals there are expensive and no ala carte options. Quite expensive to pay $99 per person for 3 course meals . So for a couple it’s very expensive and not including drinks. If there is ala carte option , then it’s good. You can have 1 course but for 1 course main meal at $50 is very expensive for any main meals . But of course you don’t have to eat there. There are lots of places to eat.

Lovely quiet location that is accessible to Ballandean, Stanthorpe and surrounds. Breakfast outstanding and dinner was also very good and catered to dietary requirements (gluten intolerant in my case). Availability of EV chargers (2 x CCS plugs) was very handy and made the trip very easy from a charging perspective.

Really the only thing was the exhaust fan and heater light not working in the bathroom.

Lovely country inn style hotel in Girraween Country Park, exceptionally welcoming hosts. Lovely clean room with a four poster bed. The breakfast was great but the meal in the evening was fantastic, they even have a small but great wine selection. We didn't but we understand its a great place to start walking trips and it's a great setting but not near anyone (that's a bonus to us but might not be your cup of tea). If you're travelling up from Sydney to Brisbane or visiting the wine region, we recommend finding this place as a stopover or better still a base for a few days.

We loved how secluded and quiet the property is and that it backs onto the National Park that was accessible for a bush walk. The room we had was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The gardens out front of the Inn provided a pretty welcome on arrival. The wildflowers were also spectacular and in abundance

There is nothing to note here.

This is an ideal place to stay if you are exploring the Girraween National Park and the nearby town of Stanthorpe and the surrounding agricultural areas; it is set in natural bushland with plenty of granite in situ. Our hosts, Shelley and Doug (together with their wonderful, short-haired Border Collie, Schnitzel) looked after us superbly - the included breakfasts were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening meals.

There was nothing to dislike.

Shelley + Doug were terrific hosts - perfect balance of attentiveness and friendliness and privacy. The Country Inn was so inviting, relaxing and comfortable, cozy fireplaces, pool room, games magazines. We dined in the restaurant for the most delicious and generous servings of smoked brisket and vegies and our breakfasts (included) were delicious.

can't think of anything

The breakfast was generous and delicious, with plenty of options. True country style fare. The location was great. Easy access to the National Parks and Wineries. There is a walk you can do on the property and an excellent Gin Distillery right next door (currently only open on Saturdays).

Very ftiendly staff, good food, excellent location with very interesting scenery. The huge boulders in the garden were well worth seeing, no need to visit the Girraween Nationsl park. The food was very well prepared and the helpings, we're huge, the local wine available at the Inn was excellent. I can imagine this place in winter, when the coast is still warm, with a roaring log fire.

Garden and flower beds could do with a tidy up
