We spent our Christmas holidays here, and it was the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The manor is absolutely stunning, and we couldn’t resist taking plenty of photos in front of its charming facade. Surrounded by fresh air and a calm, inviting atmosphere, it felt like a breath of serenity. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our stay even more delightful. Its location is convenient too—just a 30-minute drive to downtown and a little over an hour to the Port Arthur Historic Sites. Richmond itself is brimming with attractions, including the iconic Richmond Bridge. Our experience here was nothing short of wonderful, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a truly relaxing holiday escape.

A very comfortable, relaxing stay in an exquisitely designed and created accommodation. The spacious executive suite was beautifully presented, including a large four poster bed, fireplace, kitchenette and spa bath. Hosts were friendly, helpful and attentive. The large farm setting was a great feature, with sheep close by and the fruits of the apricot trees were deliciously incorporated into the menu for dinner & and dessert. Breakfast was home-cooked and hearty. Located close to Richmond and easy access to Sorell. 9verall an excellent place to stay.

A great stay for our family with young kids. Colin and Jeanette were lovely and showed my kids around the property, visiting the horses, feeding the dogs and cats and riding on the quad bike, my kids were free to do what they liked and they loved it. The price was reasonable and the beds were comfortable. This is not a 5 star stay, the place is a bit dated but it’s in a handy location, close to Richmond and has lovely views across the farming fields below.

We absolutely loved our overnight stay and wished we could stay longer. Jeanette was so welcoming and friendly. She told us about the history and how she and her husband built this beautiful establishment together. The manor has so much character and charm. I was in awe of how much attention to detail they put into this beautiful place. The grounds are just as gorgeous. We ordered room service and the meals were delicious not to mention the service. I highly recommend the Manor and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you again for a great stay.

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel, enjoying the scenic farm view and the opportunity to feed several friendly sheep. The entrance to the main building was adorned with a profusion of flowers, creating a delightful atmosphere. During the morning, I encountered a elegant white horse, adding to the charm of the countryside setting. If you appreciate a serene country life, this mansion is the ideal choice. We also had the pleasure of tasting fresh apricots and milk, both of which were absolutely delightful.

I really enjoyed the stay. My daughter had a good time playing around. It’s a farm stay and has its own unique atmosphere and features. Good location and family owned business. I only had positive to say about them.
I had a terrible experience with their food. Ordered a steak for a premium price. It was the worst food I ever had. Boiled veggies were over boiled and steak was overcooked and chewy. It had a bad aftertaste. Ate half of it. So beware if you are eating there.

Working farm with sheep, horses, chicken and maltese dogs. The kids loved it, we had lots of space in our room which still had the 70s / 80s style decor. Worn, but clean. Old childrens books at dinner room. Food came quickly, and wine glasses were poured to the brim. Scrambled eggs, tea and toast for brekkie with OJ from Woolworths. Nothing fancy, very unpolished but with heaps of charm.
This place is not for high-maintenance kind of people. You kind of just have to go with the flow. Dinner is at 6pm and breakfast at 8am. The owners could have turned on heating in dining room a few minutes before service, we sat with our jackets at the start of dinner, and in the morning there was no lights or heating on for breakfast. It is a lovely couple who owns and runs the place, doing everything themselves not paying too much attention to this kind of detail. But in a way this was part of the charm / experience.

Hatcher's Manor is on a beautiful property with a ton of character, the owners were lovely and I enjoyed dinner one night that I was there. They have many animals on and around the property that were all very friendly and it made me feel at home. The property isn't far from Richmond itself and is in a lovely, calm location.
I can't think of anything that I didn't like about the place

Room was comfortable, staff friendly and the surroundings were superb. Especially the horses which very much seemed to enjoy gummy snakes.
Could've been a little cleaner in the high spaces. I'm 6'3 so I can see on the top of everything. A blessing and a curse. Especially if you're a 6' man going bald only on top. I see you bro....

Staff were amazing. Our bags had got saturated at Melbourne Airport due to poor handling by the Baggage Handlers and all our clothes and belongings were wet. The owners kindly dried some of our clothes free of charge. Great service. Rooms are old but to be expected as it is a very quirky place. Loved the Glamping Caravan even though we did not stay in it - if you just want something simple I would try this.
