Checkin was an absolute breeze, the staff were lovely and kind. The bed was a full mattress and not two beds pushed together which is a problem I appear to run into often with hotels. The location was very central, but the road noise was barely noticeable due to the fantastic windows and blinds. The blinds are almost blackout blinds! The TV has all the features you want it to have and was quite large for a hotel. Parking out the front does fill up quickly but as in the directions they have a wonderful overspill carpark to accommodate this. Mercure really did think of everything! It was a fantastic stay for the price. Would highly recommend staying here. I definitely will be staying again.

Staff were fantastic- we forgot our phone charger and reception was able to lend us one for the duration of our stay. Our soap dispenser wasn't working so i left a note for the cleaners and this was fixed when our room was made up while we were out. Lovely breakfast and drinks at the bar after a day out walking was fabulous!
Rooms are a little small but very comfortable. Would be great to have more greenery around the property eg the balconies of the rooms look out onto the car park which prevent privacy and not the nicest thing to look at- more landscaping and trees/shrubs would really enhance the hotel.

Rooms are compact as stated but still room to move about. Bed very comfortable; room exceptionally clean; great shower, friendly staff. Very quiet in rooms. The blackout blind and as well as the privacy blind was appreciated. Enjoyed the balcony. The air conditioner was easy to adjust. Loved the free unlimited wifi. Stayed two nights.
No toaster, but I know why there isn't one! Who wants to hear smoke alarms in the middle of the night. There was only one easychair in the room, but one could bring in a stool from the balcony.

Hotel looks great and staff were really friendly and helpful. Particularly Teddy who worked evenings - he was fantastic. Room was compact but had lots of storage space. Love that there were free movies so I could veg out after a big day of meetings. We ate in the restaurant each night and the meals were lovely, so too were the gin and sodas ;)
Would have been great to have some snacks/minibar in the room. A couple of nights I was peckish but too tired and cold to go out and get something while I watched tv.

The decor of the hotel and the rooms were funky. I really liked the concept of the ground floor area, which was a combination of coffee shop, wine bar, reception, restaurant, sitting area with open fire, art gallery and interesting books.
Unfortunately, the ground floor common area was too cold for comfort. It was freezing. One could not stay there and relax, have a drink or a meal, without wearing a winter coat, so we (and most other people) did not use it.

It was bright and welcoming. The hotel is in a good location, staff were all lovely and the little balcony of the room was a lovely surprise and nice touch.
That the light switch for the bathroom wasn’t in the bathroom. That there wasn’t enough room at the end of the second bed to put a bag as it was taken up by a chair and small table

Room had everything required, plus microwave and larger than normal hotel fridge! Great shower, room was clean with sufficient space to hang and store clothes. Quiet when we stayed, staff very pleasant too. Not too far from main town centre , although we took the car as had travelled a long way.
Room was a little small, not much space to get into bed for the person on the window side of the room, other than this a great place to stay for a few nights.

Nice & handy to the park and shops. Fresh fruit was a nice touch, thank you :)
The cafe needs a much stronger fan to remove oil and cooking smells…maybe better airflow through windows would help too? The cooking smell hits you when you walk in from outside, or from the lifts and I think it could be easily fixed. Thanks for asking :)

Bed was very comfortable and the room was compact but a comfortable size for me as a solo traveller. The Wi-Fi was quick and the staff were pleasant.
The shower didn’t drain properly and there was an obvious leak under the floor of the shower into the entrance. The carpet had old water stains which had a slight odor. I reported this to staff on checkout but the staff member didn’t seem interested. My concern was mainly ongoing damage and not my experience of the accommodation. I also ate one meal at the restaurant. I ordered the salmon for dinner and it was absolutely terrible. For $36 to have a hashbrown and old/soggy tomato salsa was very disappointing

The bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept in, quite exceptional. The room was small but super functional with lots of little shelves. The shower had a good massage setting type head the actual area was again small but the water pressure brilliant. The art work is just lovely and the communal eating area for the café and restaurant terrific. We had dinner and were pleasantly surprised by how good the meals were.
The restaurant wasn't open on Sunday night for dinner. Parking can be a little confusing, if you cant get a park out front you can you to any of the boom gates in the area and just give the card to reception.
