The location is absolutely first class - right on the doorstep of the Queen Vic Markets, and moments to trams and trains. The full kitchen meant you could make quick meals when not heading out, and there is excellent coffee literally next door and complimentary Nespresso and T2 in the room. Beds were comfy and the lovely rain shower a treat! Didn’t use the complimentary laundry but fantastic for a longer stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Honestly I could not have been happier with my choice and plan to stay here again whenever I am back in Melbourne:)

No iron in the room although there was an ironing board so I guess it should have been there - I could have asked but didn’t bother in the end. Room temp was sometimes hard to regulate. Pillows were okay for me but my Mum found them a little hard. It would have been nice to have another set of cups and mugs - 2 of each meant they were in the dishwasher when we needed them again.

The laundry was very convenient, as was the location. It is also located close to the tram station. It is also close to a couple of good food including bakery! I think overall it was quite clean but I don’t ever walk around barefoot on the carpet so I can’t say for certain… but the toilet was clean.

The extra cost of parking daily is a little steep, and it can become quite challenging to park when it is filled up (although I admit to not great driving skills 😅). I also have to get out of the car every time I want to get back into the carpark to scan to open the gantry - it’s just poor design. As with most hotels, I wish there were more space to open the luggages.

The hotel is very new and situated right across Queen Victoria Market, making it a fantastic place to stay at if you want to be within walking distance of the market, the RMIT campus, Melbourne Central, Bourke Street and all the other malls and spots in the central. The interior design of the hotel is also very aesthetic and well thought-out - from the toiletries to the bedside lamp to the TV that was slightly angled downwards for easier watching. I really appreciated the thought that went into the design of the place. The kitchen was also very well-stocked and there is cleaning service offered by the hotel. The common areas, pool and gym, and the roof terrace are also well designed, clean and aesthetic. Reception staff or the hosts were really friendly and helpful, and gave recommendations to food and sights near the hotel. Overall, great value for money. Would highly recommend the place.

Note that the hotel is 5 stories tall, so if you would like a hotel room with unobstructed city view, this is not the hotel for you.

The plates provided hadn’t been cleaned but there was dishwashing liquid provided so we were able to clean them quickly and ensured our dinner didn’t go cold.

New hotel opposite the Queen Victoria Market, great location with lots of buzz and activity on market days, close to public transport and easy to walk to places around the central city. Friendly and relaxed staff, clean facilities, laundry machines very useful and much appreciated. Great gym as far as hotel gyms go - not a huge space (as to be expected) but well equipped. Secure car parking with 3 x electric vehicle charging stations, super convenient. Our room was larger than we expected, well designed and comfortable, with everything we needed.

We rented an electric vehicle for our trip. Other guests with petrol cars would often park in the spaces next to the charging stations, which was a little annoying as this meant we couldn't park in these spaces to charge our vehicle at the hotel. I don't see this as a fault of the hotel, but maybe some signage or guidance for those who use the parking facility would help guests to be more thoughtful when choosing where to park.

Great location just next to the Queen Victoria Market, yet rooms (at least mine) are facing quiet side. Modern property. Very friendly staff, especially Tor (I hope I spell his name correctly) from Thailand made it for a super nice and welcoming experience upon my check in. The bed was very comfortable, the room also has a kitchenette with plates, utensils, fridge, freezer etc so you can actually do some light cooking or at least have a breakfast there (the hotel itself does not serve breakfast on the premises). Everything met my expectations although do note it is not a 5 star hotel but more of a modern apart hotel so make sure your expectations are not very high. It's been all clean, quiet, modern and comfortable though so I would definitely recommend this place.

It would be nice if slippers are provided since the floor is pretty cold.

The property’s location is very convenient. You can catch a free tram to anywhere in the CBD from outside the Queen Victoria markets (50ms away) There is a huge choice of fresh food literally on your doorstep on market days. The reception staff are all excellent. Friendly, welcoming and helpful. Thanks to Juan & Augustin for recommending the Japanese cafe next door. It was very authentic and the food was delicious.

This time I stayed in a premium room at the front of the property, with a nice view over the QV marketplace. I was in a first floor apartment and was woken on several nights by large garbage trucks emptying 100s of bins and steam cleaners hosing down the pavements after each market day. Last year I stayed in a cheaper apartment in the same complex with no view, but it was much quieter as it faced another building. I would choose to do this next time.

First time staying at Veriu and will definitely stay again. The location was superb and so were the facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful. We found being over the road from the markets the perfect location as we could walk, tram or Uber anywhere else we wanted to go. Rooms were comfortable and so were the beds and pillows and it was lovely to have a refreshing swim after a full day of walking. The lobby area is relaxing and a great place to hang out - plenty of charging stations and designed well with spaces for a quiet chat. Overall wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else should we visit Melbourne again.

The location for this hotel is about as good as you can get. Right next to the markets, walking distance to the CBD. I stayed here after playing a gig at a nearby pub and it was perfect. The room was amazing, the shower was to die for. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times.

I have to write something here to be able to submit but it is hard to think of anything. The parking could be considered expensive but for a guaranteed secure spot that close to town who's complaining?

Very clean, new, modern hotel in a fantastic location - right across from Queen Victoria Market and next door to an excellent Japanese cafe as well as other dining options. Car park was easily accessible though small spaces for bigger cars. The kitchenette in the room was well supplied though could use more than 2 Nespresso coffee pods a day (at least 4). Room was a good size for 2 adults and an infant with a cot. Fridge in the room was big so you could store food and drinks easily. Pool was lovely with towels supplied. Foyer of hotel has sparkling water on tap which was a nice touch. Allowed us to leave our car in the car park for an hour after check out so we could get breakfast and go to market which was very much appreciated! I’d stay here again. Shower pressure was great.

Needs better signage from the car park to the lifts inside the hotel - we got lost. Bed linen was scratchy and bed was average though still decent for a night’s sleep. We were meant to get a car park pass when we paid for our parking but didn’t and then received a note on our car threatening to be towed which wasn’t nice. Maybe register people’s car rego numbers so this doesn’t happen or make sure to give passes.
