Mariners Cove at Paynesville is located really close to the Raymond Island, which came to us as a pleasant surprise. We had a bit of time to take a stroll in the island and see koalas that close! The ferry ride was free and quite a wonderful experience. Staff was helpful to organise off-time check-in and had bins around to dispose of the garbage. Our room (and I think all of them) was on the ground floor which is a great bonus. Car was parked right next to the room so that taking in and out the luggage was a breeze. The room was quite clean and the kids were extremely excited to sleep in the attic beds, which were again was in generously spacious area. They enjoyed echoing themselves from the attic to us - kudos to the architect to making that nice design possible! In the morning going to the backyard, the waterfront and say hello to those lovely black swans and the birds was an absolute pleasure.

The design of the building and thus the room we had, was spacious with a lofty ceiling - minimalist but not lacking anything. Tasteful, and timeless, well appointed and well maintained. The bathroom was large, hot water was in quick supply. The front sliding doors opened onto the water, and a nearby jetty. The surroundings were serene - we were able to sit out in shade to enjoy a drink before dinner.

This did not happen for us but had the accommodation been fully booked others may have been sitting on their verandahs which were not separate but open across the water side of the facility.

I had to leave early, and I arrived late so I didnt actually meet the staff, but the after hours check in and out was easy, and the room was fabulous. Located right on the marina, this would be amazing in summer (it was overcast and raining during my trip). The rooms were great, large comfortable bed, and it might sound like a simple thing but I LOVED that the front door had a weather strip underneath, which stopped cold and light getting in. Paynesville was lovely, I only drove through, but this place is retirement goals.

Absolutely nothing. MAYBE the sound proofing in the bathroom was a bit so so, I could hear the next room showering.

Very clean and spacious room. Kids really liked the mezzanine floor where they slept. Nicely decorated, the kitchenette had everything we needed to make breakfast. The setting on the water, all within view from the room was lovely and peaceful. 1-2 minute walk to the Raymond Island ferry which was very handy. Bathroom was old but big, and very clean, and the body care products supplied were very nice. There was an outdoor table out back, which led to the stairs, onto the grassy waters edge.

The mezzanine floor got a bit warm in the late afternoon, the fan and open window was ok, but perhaps an aircon upstairs would be handy. There was one downstairs.

We had the pleasure of staying in a family river view room, and I can't help but express my sincere gratitude for the wonderful experience we had. The accommodation provided was truly fantastic, offering everything a family could possibly need to feel completely at ease during our stay. The rooms were not only beautifully modernized but also tastefully decorated, with lovely views from the patio overlooking the river. The air conditioner and fan upstairs were excellent and worked brilliantly, maintaining a consistently comfortable environment throughout our stay. The blackout curtains and blinds ensured that we could enjoy peaceful mornings without being disturbed by the bright sun. The pricing was more than reasonable, and the abundance of food options, coupled with the proximity of an excellent IGA just minutes away, made our dining choices convenient and enjoyable. The information book provided comprehensive details, covering everything we could possibly need to know in extensive detail. The mattress on the beds and the linen surpassed our expectations, providing a level of comfort that rivalled some 5-star hotels in the city. The shower pressure was delightful, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided a luxurious experience for our skin, leaving my hair feeling silky smooth. The strategic placement of power points and the inclusion of dimmable light switches were the finishing touches that truly demonstrated the meticulous thought put into every aspect of our stay. It's evident that the team has considered absolutely everything to ensure a 10/10 experience, and for that, we are sincerely thankful.

Shared balcony was the only thing that we didn't love but it was fine as the motel wasn't full so we didn't have to go through someone else's space.

Good position in a quiet and pretty spot. I imagine this place is very busy in season. The unit was spacious and had obviously been recently updated - new carpet, paint etc

The tea bags!! If I had been asked how the stay was when we left (which I wasn't) I certainly would suggest they invest in better quality tea bags - take your own if you're going 😊 Also would be nice to have a can opener and bottle opener provided for self catering.

The unit was clean and fresh with beautiful interior decor, a large comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom, and a lovely riverside view. The location was very convenient with a short walk to the shops and cafes, and to the ferry to Raymond Island. While our unit did not have full cooking facilities, the kitchenette with kettle, toaster, microwave, crockery and cutlery provided all we needed for our short stay.

We loved Mariners Coves waterfront setting, the location could not be any closer to the Ferry, also close to restaurants. The room was clean, spacious and airy with a modern bathroom and small kitchenette. The bed was comfortable with deluxe linen. Plenty of room for car parking. Staff were lovely, the cleaners were professional and cheerful.

Mariners Cove at Paynesville was literally the best place I could have ever stayed at. The room was welcoming and comfortable and just one of a kind. There was even an amazing coffee machine for us, along with great amenities. The room overlooked the lake which was perfect and very romantic. There was a nice patio seating area, overlooking the amazing and peaceful view of the lake. This place was literally a 1 minute walk to the Ferry to Raymond Island, and there was an amazing pizza place at the side, where we had a really good pizza for our dinner.

The location was fantastic, as were the staff. After a mess up with my booking they went above and beyond to make it as right as they could including moving us for the 2nd night of our stay to an amazing apartment. It was a very annoying booking stuff up that was handled extremely well by the manager. I can't speak more highly of her.

The description of the bed config did not match what was actually at the property. I expected to have a double bed in the 2nd bedroom, but instead had a room with 2 single beds. Eventually it was realised that the description for this particular room was incorrect on both Booking.com and their own website. Once this was realised the manager did a fantastic job of doing everything she could to make our stay comfortable, including swapping us out on our 2nd night to a much better apartment down the road. I'd recommend to others booking this property to call and confirm the bedding/room config prior to arrival.
