On check-in only one person on reception attending a guest, with a queue of 4 (including me) waiting. On check-out there was no-one on reception and no bell to attract attention. After a few minutes, by which time another guest had arrived to check-out I went behind the counter and knocked on one of the doors from behind which I could hear noise. No-one responded. A third person arrived to check-out, and at this stage a staff member came down the stairs and then came to assist. The toilet cistern in Room 67 was leaking, and one of the lamps at the bedhead was not working. I advised this to Reception on check-out.

Being located next to some of the nicest beaches in Bunbury you can’t go wrong with the location and also close enough to walk into town and other attractions, We had an extra large balcony with a beautiful view of those beaches and the lighthouse. Beds were perfect, not too firm not too soft, even my partner commented on how comfortable they were.. The staff were helpful throughout the booking process and our arrival, advising us how best to park close to where our room was, and very easy access all around. I also liked the appearance of the foyer, modern & light.

Hard to put a negative on it, the towels weren’t matching in fluffiness?!

Beautiful views with mainly friendly, helpful staff. The pool was great after a long day. Convenient for business trips as everything is close by.

Waiter was very short with us, took us to a table but did not mention alternatives for the breakfast buffet, we only found out after hearing him tell others. He then did the same at dinner, did not speak to us, handed us a menu and walked away. After more than 30 years in hospitality I had never come across a waiter so blatantly rude. Turned us off using the hotel for our staff on business trips.

The staff were really nice and super accomodating when we asked to check in early as one of us was feeling unwell. Communicated all the information about the property clearly. Happy with the location - 4 min drive to the dolphins.

The bathroom had a bit of staining on the tiles, likely due to ageing. I think it might be hard to keep the bathroom dry as there is no window. Would suggest improved aeration of the bathroom to address this and maybe better quality tiling to address the staining.

We stayed in the ocean view king room, absolutely beautiful. Overlooking the back beach quiet location and looking at the lighthouse. Wonderful place to stay within walking distance of nearly everything, if you are like us and like to walk you can even walk to the dolphin discovery centre. Beautiful walk. Restaurant at the hotel is also a treat to eat at and the staff are brilliant.

Not much milk in fridge. No microwave. Aircons were not heating well so it was cold. No staff answering phones for reception, room service over Easter. All the light switches were back to front. Couldn't change my dates. No accessibility for wheelchairs. Where was the lift??

Amazing view over ocean. Excellent restaurant. great location for walking into the city or to beaches . The staff were very professional and helpful at reception and in the restaurant.

We were initially in a room that faces the city with no outdoor seating on the car park level. The next morning i spoke to receptionist and we were able to move to a lovely refurbished room looking over the ocean with a fold out bed brought in for our daughter. There was a small outdoor patio to sit on and enjoy the sun.

Location was amazing. View said city from room but we also had ocean which was lovely. Restaurant was perfect view on foreshore, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was full cooked and delicious. Pool was beautiful *( heated but only tepid)

Basalt restaurant Saturday night ordered chicken $37 chicken was dry, I couldn't eat it needed drink to swallow it. We had chips in the middle of table, waitress took them when clearing table and didn't ask if we had finished them which we hadn't.

The location & the view out to the Indian Ocean, Wow! The size of the room/s and facilities in general The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were excellent with a fabulous selection to choose from 😊

The couch & chair were stained & initially dead batteries in the air conditioner remote but nothing that would deter us from booking again

The room was small but cozy for a solo traveller or 2 people. Given its location you can simply walk down to the street to find yourself a nice coffee or lunch along with some little shops. The closest Coles etc is less than 1km away, and I found it easier to just walk and avoid the hassle of finding a parking spot. The view from my room of the city and of the beach was lovely to sit and look at. The restaurant also have a lovely view during service time.

Very little to dislike about this hotel. Few minor age and wear signs on some of them shower tiles/holders and balcony walls but its nothing that will affect your stay drastically.
