The Donnybrook Motel is quite basic. You cannot get food there, they provide rooms only. Rooms were clean spacious and comfortable. The beds, although queen size, were comfy and afforded us a good sleep. The usual amenities were available except for shampoo and conditioner. I did not need laundry done, so do not know if laundry facilities were available. I did see a clothesline in use. Good sized parking spaces were available for each room. It is the only Motel in town and is preferable to the Hotel which has a shared bathroom. We were happy with our room.

The pool and pool area were uninviting, we had planned to enjoy a dip and a glass of wine poolside but upon arriving read in the instructions that pool towels are NOT available AND you cannot use the room towels for the pool. This should be noted on the website. The untidy pool area and the green brown water also dissuaded us from using the pool. Wine glasses in the room were dirty and needed washing before use. There is no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. The air conditioner is the old type and makes some noise which may pose a problem to those who are sensitive to noise.

Location, room and parking were good.

The hotel advertised a restaurant however on booking in and looking forward to dinner we were advised that the restaurant was no longer open. I think the advertising should be up dated as people may book in under the false impression that meals were available, this would be particularly frustrating for anyone with mobility issues as its a fair walk to the hotel.

Arriving at Perth, after more than 40 hours between flights and airports, I have decided not to go camping with my family, due to the cold whether. So, I choose to stay at Donnybrook Motel, rest comfortably, check my mail, and wait for my family next day. What a disappointment it was, as my room did not have internet working; so I could not check messages or see tv…. I went more than 5 times to the reception desk, the manager came to my room many times, trying to fix it, but with no success. I feel sorry to pay for my stay and do not have what I suppose to and I would expect some compensation from the Donnybrook Management regarding it. Many thanks! Glaucia V Andrade [email protected]

The Staff member, he was very nice and welcoming. Other than the decor being a little dated, it was a clean comfortable room with very little road noise heard. Everything you'd need in a room for tea, coffee, milk, plates, cutlery and glasses. Even a Microwave. An ideal location right next to the IGA and bottleshop.

The shower walls appeared somewhat mouldy.

The motel was a lot nicer than expected. Photos and information on your website were wrong. I paid for an upgrade so we could have a private bathroom but all rooms at motel had bathrooms. As a result I paid more than I should have your online information was totally wrong.

Dated but clean and very convenient

Location if the motel was good and easy to find. The room was also clean and comfortable.

The bathroom floor gets soaked when using the shower as the curtain wasn't long enough. The exhaust fan also didn't work very well, so it got very condensated.

Clean well set out.

No detergent cloth and tea towel to wash dishes. And sharp knife in kitchen utensils. Pool not clean to be able to swim in. Had tried to contact someone from motel rang several times and left messages, no one got back to me.

The staff very friendly. The meals were excellent and the person who served the meal could not do enough for us. (He had to cater for a GF and DF guest). The dining room made you feel at home, very well decorated and warm and cosy and with a friendly country atmosphere.

We were happy with the motel. The only problem we had was getting a lift therel as we came by transperth coach. No transport available. Too far to walk from the Visitor Centre with heavy luggage. Luckily a kind person from the cafe nearby offered to take us there. For the return, one of the motel staff drove us back to the centre, thank goodness.

I liked everything pretty handy location just beside the local IGA since I didn’t want to order food from the local restaurants, could walk to the cafes etc. Room has microwave, cutlery, glasses and plates.

The shower curtain was too small and the bathroom got all wet but not a big problem.

our stay was because the night markets were on and loved them, everything is within walking distance, if you're able, and the gate access to IGA was a good surprise. great location and friendly ppl

our only gripe was that we had the front unit and could hear all the traffic, especially at night
