I liked that it was close to the airport and that there was a shuttle available every half hour 24 hours a day and that I was able to leave my car in the parking lot while I was away. Starting at 6am, breakfast with a variety of food from all four food groups and beverage (coffee, tea, juice, milk). Also the little market where you could buy snacks and frozen dinners when the restaurant next door is not open. Staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. One of the cleaners even helped me steer my luggage cart around the corner!

It is nice hotel near airport with excellent free shuttle to and from airport! There is possibility of free breakfast and they have a small wending shop too. Our Room was well equipped and the Lobby was good. We loved the notice about not smoking or you pay 500 USD 👌👍 From our window we saw nice encounter between a Rabbit and a chickmunk or beaver

Approach Road has a bit odd winding course, no swimming pool. Room was not recharged with toiletries and bins cleaning was not done the next day of our check in. Some towels were too old with threads hanging but we liked there notice to help protecting the environment by not charging bed sheets before 3rd day. The front desk staff can better be multi cultural (I noted mostly Chinese), and at checkin they should ask if you are Wyndham loyalty program member. Their lifts are slow and have repeated noisy alarming sounds. Their check out time is 11am and to stay up to 1pm we paid extra 25 Dollars. As check in is at 3pm check out can be allowed at 12 noon or 1pm for the Wyndham reward members.

Arriving late after a long trip, a room and good bed are the best. That was all good.

What was really bad, was when we arrived at the airport, it was -19 and really windy. We called for the shuttle and was informed the 10;30 pm bus was full and the next one was 11 pm. Told to wait at pole number 37. We went outside around 10;20 and waited until 11pm. He did not come. I called the hotel and she checked it out and said he would be 5 minutes. He did not come, I called again and he arrived at 11:15. We were so cold. That is not good service. Where was he hanging out when he was told we were waiting. And if his last pick up was 10:30, why didn't he hustle back for us!!

Shuttle service from the YYC airport to the hotel needs some improvement. While calling the hotel phone, they have an option to request the shuttle service. When I chose this option, it kept playing a recorded message mentioning how great the hotel is. This kept repeating for twenty minutes without any response from them. Next I called the reservation/front desk and informed about this issue. There was not a single apology from them and I was asked to wait for another thirty minutes to get their shuttle service. That is the best they could do. I found this very unprofessional.

The rooms where very comfortable. I asked for a top floor end of the hall and I actually got it. I have PTSD from my time overseas with the Canadian military and it makes it difficult to sleep. I jave been a Hampton Inns fan for the last decade but my last three stays they ignored my requests. The quality of the room, the imcorporation of my requests and the staff made it perfect.

If I could change one thing it would be the check in. I did the online but still had to go through the entire check in process. If there is going to be online check in I shoukd arrive show id and get my keys that are waiting for me.

Everyone found something to eat...drinks, yogurt, fruits, toast, bagels, omelette, delicious sausages, milk, cornflakes, nuts and raisins. The free shuttle helped me get from the airport and back in 10 minutes. I liked everything so much that I decided to book the hotel again after returning from Banff and relax here before a long flight. It was unexpectedly nice to be served in my native language. When I called the hotel to order a shuttle, the manager Evgeniy, hearing my weak English with a Slavic accent, offered me to switch to Russian or Ukrainian. This was what I needed. He met me at the airport and took me to the hotel, and also helped me figure out how to use bank cards for payment. Special thanks to him for this. Overall, I received great service, thanks again! I found this a very good hotel. Good things - check-in, check-out, room quality and size, good bed, good room bathroom, work desk, breakfast, price, cleanliness, staff were good too, close to airport, free shuttle.. it has all of the things that I want in a hotel.

shuttle pickup - I could not get hold of anyone to ask for the shuttle. numerous calls to automated phone numbers and not to a real person. it was cold outside waiting for the shuttle. 2 ladies also very cold, waiting for the shuttle said it went by without stopping. Hot water - took so long to get hot I finally started my shower with luke warm water.. the water eventually warmed up and was OK.

The hotel and room were very nice. Breakfast was great and the staff who attended the breakfast area were amazing. We liked that there is a shuttle to and from the airport but the staff have to leave the front desk to drive the shuttle.

This was the first time we stayed here and when we called for the shuttle at approx. 11:00 p.m the staff told us to call back when we had luggage. Then when I called we were told it would be about 20 mins, After calling a few more times we waited over 40 mins at least outside. We just arrived from Mexico and was not used to the colder weather. The staff could have suggested we wait inside until we saw the shuttle and then proceed to come out. We saw other hotel shuttles come multiple times before the Wingate arrived. This did not give us a great first impression.

The location worked for me as I was driving through from BC and heading East. I didn’t get up for breakfast this time, however I’ve stayed here before and their breakfast is better than it is at a lot of places. I did enjoy the free upgrade to a bigger space. I also enjoyed the extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff. The staff member working whilst I checked out was particularly kind and helpful.

THE PAPER PRODUCTS!! They are the WORST. They’re the lowest possible quality, and definitely don’t seem to match with the standards emphasized elsewhere. Please upgrade them!
