The beds were large and comfortable. There were curtains for privacy. The hostel is about 7 blocks from Square Victoria, the closest metro station. Staff was very helpful with directions, etc. The common room/kitchen was open and inviting.

Was a place for good rest despite it being a hostel. But I think it mostly boils down to where your room is situated and how many people share the room with you+ good earplugs of course. Luckily the other people in my room sleeps early and don't wake up at ungodly hours so I could get a good rest for so many nights.

perhaps some extension cords near the upper bunks would be a nice touch and the bed was pretty creaky but you don't really hear it after putting in ear plugs.

The staff were excellent and inviting. As a culinary professional, I was very glad to see the amount of herbs and spices available on the kitchen. That is very hard to find. They have a wonderful supply and a working kitchen. The staff were excellent too. They were welcoming, inclusive, and I don’t even speak French. The city is also easily walkable. The metros are also wonderful.

The rooms were just for sleeping, and there was a great common area to plug in and sit on a couch, bar-top, table, etc. There was even a quiet space outside the common room in a couple floors if you needed to take a call.

The kitchen was fully stocked with spices, cutlery, plates, pots/pans, etc. However, the knives were a bit dull, which is dangerous. Dull knives hurt people more than well-sharpened knives. The owner/manager seemed kind of apathetic to the half-broken stoves (but one was fixed after a week! Credit where it is due). The staff were all amazing though.

The property was clean, beds very comfortable and in a good location.

Lots of stairs! We ended up leaving after the first night forgoing the remainder 3 nights due to inconsiderate roommates phones going off multiple times at 6am / roommates sorting threw their luggage and packing up very early in the morning but that’s not a reflection of the property itself, it was just challenging to get a good night sleep. Next time I would opt for a private room.

Everyone was nice and respectful. The location was great. Things were worn in, but that give it a relaxed atmosphere. Staff and communication were excellent. The only complaint that I could possibly make is that someone sharing the room was rude and kept going loudly in and out having a shower and then shining his phone's flashlight all over the place for quite sometime, waking up and disturbing many of the others sharing the room. That being said, the hostel had very clear outlines that this was unacceptable behaviour. Had I been staying more than one night, I would have complained.

I didn't like that there were several people standing in front of the door, blocking entrance, whilst smoking when I arrived. Again, the hostel had clearly set out in the rules that this was unacceptable behaviour. They really were excellent about things -- so the complaint is not about the hostel but some of the people. What can you do?

The front desk people were very nice and accommodating. The hostel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The common area was very cozy and the overall environment was very friendly. They let me leave my bags there after check-out.

The lockers were not very big. However, bigger lockers were available, but you needed to ask for more information at the front desk. I'm not sure if there was an extra fee.

I like that it is affordable and it is clean. Everything is relatively straight forward, you get a code to entry both to the facility and to the room. You get a locker (you will need to bring your lock, or buy at reception) and sheets, and the name is on your bed. It is within reasonable distance to René Levesque, and there is a shop about 3 blocks up.

There are a number of travellers that choose the outside of the hotel to smoke away (cigarretes and pot). It is annoying navigating through a cloud of toxic gas just to get out or to get in, particularly when it is cold and you have to search through your phone to find your code.

The staff was super friend, they clean everyday and keep the areas in the best shape they can. The beds are comfortable and the number of bathrooms is ok.

The people that stay there was really young and were super dirty, the sink was always with plates even when the staff try their best to keep it clean, is not a property issue is the people that was there. The common area and kitchen is pretty small for the amount of people that is in the hostel.
