You can’t beat the location. The breakfast is terrific and the staff serving the breakfast was kind and helpful.

The room we chose didn’t look like the photos. We had no windows. The front of house staff was mixed when it came to being hospitable. Some were very friendly and the last person we had barely cracked a smile. We understand it’s a hard job but friendliness goes far.

The location location location was perfect!!! Can’t express it enough!!! We had a room with a balcony and we loved loved it!! The staff was very very kind and helpful . I highly recommend this place and the value was grreeeat!! The only thing I would say is don’t choose this place for the pool (it was not very clean and seemed uninviting also the hammock in the picture above the pool was not up) but other than the it was amazing!!!

Hotel was ok, nothing special but really ok. Adequate to the price. They have lift for the luggage so it is great. Good location. In my room was quiet. Was on the 3rd floor with tiny window on the courtyard side. Breakfast ok.

The room needs a bit of renovation. Bathroom was small and also old. I was there one night. I suppose to daty two, but the reception made a mistake in my reservarion. So after few days, when I get back to Cartagena, I stayed on the street without a room.

Excellent location within the old town. Very nice room, we booked a room without windows but it was still a really lovely room. Good air conditioning. The breakfast was basic but they gave you a lot of choice and a yoghurt drink which was really nice.

The pool looked really nice and made the place look good but it was right next to the restaurant/reception so it wasn’t very private.

Location and building

We were asked for a voluntary tipping at check out (already included in the bill). I think the hotel should pay for the services of their employees.

The colonial property is spectacular and well worth the booking just for that. Breakfast next to the little pool surrounded by plants is just beautiful. The receptionists were all very helpful and went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable.

We liked everything but just don't expect large rooms in a converted house. That is the price you pay for he magical atmosphere of these colonial mansions.

Great location, very interesting building, and good rooms, definetely good place to stay if you want to be in old town, and in proximity of Tourist port to Islands, or even Getsemani is like 25min walking distance.

Only thing which I did not like, is that when checking out ''Tips for hotel staff'' 6% were included in the bill, I don't agree with such pratice, they advised us that if you don't want to tip, they can remove it from the bill, but in my opionion it should be vice versa, as they put guest in uncomfortable position. Tips should be voluntary, I don't mind tipping, but I hate when Im forced to, its enough that restaurants in the are do that, didn't expect it from a hotel, that's the only reason why Im not rating 10.

This is the 2nd time I stay here. I absolutely love not only thr location but the whole hotel including the staff. They are all do helpful from the front desk to the ladies who clean and serve breakfast in the morning.. If u are reading this review just book it foe whem u come visit. U are steps away from a delicious restaurant San Valentin and in the middle if any club and tourist picture u want.

Only thing is that if u have a hard time goin up and down stairs this isn't the place it had 4 stories bit no elevator. Theu do take your bags up in a elevator for bags but not for people. Request 2nd floor if possible.

Lovely building in the centre of Cartegena. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of hot and cold options. Secure entrance so inside felt like a sanctuary compared with the craziness of the streets outside!

The room had a bit of a damp feel and some mould on the walls of the bedroom. Expensive compared to other parts of Colombia but seemed to be a reasonable rate for Cartagena.

In the center of the old town. Converted colonial home with character and charm. Thoughtful staff were ready to help w everything from tours to travel sickness. Nice breakfast options even when we arrived right before closing. Housecleaning staff was Excellent.

There are some classic trade offs here. The room with the fabulous tall windows was louder. The interior room was quieter but with less natural light.
