The location was amazing! Right next to the park and a gorgeous beach. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room was clean and the ac was awesome! Kitchenette was great, also. Would definitely go back!

A couple minor things would take it from a 9 to a 10.. *bigger coffee pot (single cup was annoying) *gate to beach needs 24/7 access *nicer toilet paper *blackout curtains (hard to sleep past 6am) *brighter lighting for the bathroom or a mirror somewhere else in the room (hard to apply makeup!) *mattress was very firm

The location of the hotel couldn't have been better. Our room was close to the pool spacious and we loved having the kitchenette. The large walk-in closet was a plus for 4 people in the room giving us plenty of space to store our luggage without cluttering the room. Its location on the beach was amazing, and the beaches were uncrowded and beautiful. The staff was friendly and kind. The day manager, Randall, was a very friendly guy and loved taking US Football with us. Our daughter and family were visiting for Christmas, and we took a pre-Christmas trip to the beach, and we all had a wonderful time. Making priceless memories. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location with direct access to the beach from the property. Staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. Walking distance to the national park entrance. Family-owned for 31 years.

Walls between rooms were thin and noisy neighbors were easily heard. Onsite restaurant was open only for breakfast and lunch; and was overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. (That said, the entire tourist district around Manuel Antonio NP is expensive.)

This could not be more perfect for the beach! There are also restaurants that you can walk to and it’s a very short drive in to Quepos with plenty of shops en route. We stayed at this hotel while we were waiting for availability at a more expensive hotel and honestly I wish we had just stayed here all the time! We had a lovely warm welcome at reception

The restaurant wasn’t open however it wasn’t a major problem as there was plenty of food nearly. A cooker job would have been great but not expected for the price of the room!

My Husband and I live outside of San Jose and our kids & grandkids came for Christmas. We enjoyed 4 days & 3 nights at this wonderful hotel, No frills but, exceptionally clean with great pool and the hotel was right on the beach. We had 2 rooms which was great for our family of 7. Loved having the kitchenettes for Breakfast and Lunch. So many wonderful restaurant within walking distance for dinner. The staff was amazing and everything exceeded our expectations. Will definintely be back.

Location is incredible, directly on the beach and a short walk to town and restaurants. loved the monkeys that were swinging by and all over this property! that was so fun for me and my boy. the pool is nice and refreshing.

I think it was luck of the draw, but we were first put in room 106 which is in the corner near a closet that staff uses at all hours of the night and so it felt not private. the back window looked out onto another shed so we basically just kept the curtains closed at all times which made the room feel very dark and unwelcoming. there is only one type of very bright light in the room which is not great in the evening when you’re winding down. the restaurant is ridiculously priced - $3 for two pieces of wonder bread and some jelly. Ants in the room if you leave any type of food out.

Direct access to the beach, amazing.

Hole through the wall the size of a cantaloupe. Immediately let the front desk know about it, was told it was for portable a/c access and it was ok. I said, "it's completely open to the outside" and showed them a photo that I had just taken. The front desk staff then proceeded to do a quick patch on the hole, trying scotch tape????, then taking a panel off the outside and lightly screwing it into the wall on the inside. I asked if another room was available and was told that there are many hotels, try one. There wasn't immediate availability anywhere else, so I stayed. worked was done on the outside of the room on the morning of my 3rd day there. Inside was not addressed during my stay.

Location was superb; loved being less than a minute's walk from a gorgeous beach. Such fun to see monkeys right outside our room and lovely birds around the pool. That was a treat. Staff had good suggestions for things to see and do in town. Breakfast at outdoor cafe, although not included, was quite nice.

So tricky to adjust the water temperature in the shower; it was either scalding or freezing cold. Would be useful to provide a hair dryer and proper soap in each room. I did not like the liquid gel similar to what you'd find at a gym locker room. Place was quite dated. Looked like an old motel from the 80's. Cheap curtains, fluorescent lighting, etc.

Great location right on the beach, easy walk to Manuel Antonio national park.

We got the room with the double bed and two bunk beds, right next to the reception, because we wanted the two single beds. The entrance to this room is right next to the hotel toilets, and the only window is towards the back of the hotel, which is the service area and not very nice. The rooms that faced the walkway to the beach seemed much nicer than ours. In any case, this is a good budget friendly option, especially if you want to be walking distance from the national park and right on the beach!

This hotel is truly only less than 50 feet from the beach front. From our room, it was a short but kind of steep walk down to the nice pool and a locked gate to the beach. Monkeys bounced around the walkway railings in the late afternoon. The young man at the front desk was so very helpful and fun to visit with. Parking was always available in front of the open-air desk area. Fairly short walk to the National Park entry. Of course, pick up for a ride to the Park is available at the hotel. Our room had a very nice kitchen area and a separate bedroom. Two twin beds in the living area. This room (101?) would be so good for a family or group of friends. One can drive a short way down to the beach area also.

Our traveling friends had a pretty small room compared to ours, which had a nice kitchen area. This multi level hotel might not work for someone with mobility issues, but then, most of hotels and restaurants at Manuel Antonio are on the hillsides.
