It was clean and the people were very friendly. The owner is called unfriendly by some reviewers - that is not our experience at all! Cleaning staff was also very good and very friendly.

We were close to the pool area which was sometimes quite noisy. The location of the hotel is conveniently close to the national park entrance, but this mkes it sit in the middle of the tourist hustle and bustle

The manager was so accommodating and provided us with a lovely room for two nights. He worked very hard to get us into the national park online. (I guess the online booking system has changed things in terms of the national parks and hopefully will improve.) The important thing is that you hire a certified guide who will wear the appropriate badge to indicate they have the qualifications. The hotel pool was particularly nice and the breakfast options were very good. Thanks for our stay! Anne and Mo

It would be nice if there was a full length mirror in the suite and the toilet paper roll was closer to the toilet- just little things.

The location can’t be beat! The room was clean. Staff was friendly. Cold AC. Hot sower. Decent WIFI. Tasty typical Costa Rican breakfast. Is the property older? Yes. Is it a fancy resort? No. Are there cracked tiles. Yes. Manuel Antonio is an expensive place to visit. And for the cost and location it can’t be beat. Review complaining about bugs… you are in a jungle. Noise? You are less than a block from the busiest National Park in the country. O highly recommend this place for a no frills stay.

The location is perfect, just a few steps from the national park and 5 minutes from downtown Manuel Antonio. The pool is refreshing, and the air conditioning in the rooms works very well. The staff is very friendly.

Breakfast is included; however, it's served until 9 am. We enjoy sleeping in when on vacation. I would have preferred breakfast served until 10 am. I couldn't try it because we wake up around 9 am every day.

I upgraded to a Deluxe for $12 additional and it was well worth it. The room was spacious, comfortable, well lit, with a mini-fridge and nice reading lights.

Breakfast was included (don't get me wrong, I do like that), but the waitress was a tad indifferent, reciting in a robotic voice "the option" in a quasi communist-country-like fashion, and once it came, set the plate on the table a bit roughly for my taste (and I'm not picky), which gave me the impression that she thought since it's "included" I should be "grateful". I swear I did nothing to irritate her, it was just not her day I guess. Not good. Also, the shower never produced hot water. I left it running long enough (10 min?) and decided I had better things to do and jumped in. Oh well.

The location is very nice, the beach is 100 meters away, the National Park is 50 meters away, the restaurant is convenient. The rooms are nice. Parking is secure and convenient.

The room lighting was a bit lacking, the night light on my side of the bed didn't work. The bathroom lighting was poor, it was difficult to shave. The staff was nice, breakfast was 6 out of 10 (the bread was stale and the plantain seemed like it was cooked two days prior).

Convenient location, well priced, great staff, nice breakfast portions, ample parking, relatively quiet given the proximity to everything, overall pleasant stay!

No major concerns / issues however; there are some minor maintenance items needing attention, there’s great potential here!

maybe the breakfast could have better options for the price per night that you pay. It was either coffee or juice, and either fruit or omelette. In cheaper hotels we had both options included.

The stuff was really friendly, good location when you're not renting a car. Close to the beach, close to the entry of the park and there are a couple of restaurants nearby. The kids liked the pool pretty much and we could spot white-tailed deers, capuchin monkeys and jacanas early in the morning from our balcony :)

Like always when you're doing family trips and you need a lot of hangers for all the wet swimsuits, you need a place to dry them.....so more hangers would be a great thing

Staff was super friendly and helpful especially as we came in super late. Pool was refreshing after the beach, although it wasn't the cleanest, it definitely wasn't disgusting as some reviewers noted. House keeping cleaned super well, and you can imagine how a group of 12 college students left the rooms. Bathrooms were pretty, and the location was perfect, such a short walk from the beach and restaurants. Loved the little shops outside.

The shower pressure was not great, but it worked well enough. The breakfast wasn't amazing but it was fine for a hotel included breakfast pretty standard for US hotel breakfast. However booking.com claimed that it was a buffet and it was not.
