Family owned/run hotel; Dunja is very nice and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful, rooms spacious, beds are comfortable. We had an upgraded room on floor 3. Each balcony had a little bistro table & chairs where we could sit, have a drink and relax. It was lovely to also be able to sit in the room with the balcony doors wide open for the fresh air. Heated floor & towel bars controlled by you in the room (as opposed to being centrally turned on/available for certain time periods in the AM & PM, which we experienced elsewhere in our travels). This is convenient for those who are handwashing items on a long trip. The housecleaning staff was simply lovely—very friendly, welcoming and did a good job. So adorable! Breakfast offering was good—including they will make you eggs to order. A very good value offered for what we paid. We would DEFINITELY stay there again if revisiting Lovran (which is quite likely as it is very charming!)

Just FYI - The regular brewed coffee was not to our liking. But, we asked for espresso machiattos, and Dunja happily made them for us and they were good.

This was a wonderful place to stay! The owner was very kind and professional and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. The beds were comfortable the entire property was extremely clean, the pool was very relaxing at the end of a sea day. The hotel is located just a short 2 minute walk down to a sea walk which you can use to walk around most of the nearby coastline with numerous entrances to the sea water. We were extremely happy with our choice to stay at The Hotel Villa Vera.

The 2 ladies running the place were incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel is very well maintained, everything is super clean. The room was spacious and comfortable, WIFI worked well. There was space at the property to park the car and a nice beach where you can also rent sunbeds is only a few steps away. Breakfast was good and available until 11:00. We will definitely be back!

When I found this hotel in booking and saw the ratings I thought: No way this is that good at that pricepoint. But turns out, yes, yes it really is that good. 1) The rooms are nice, big, with nice furniture. The TV, where most hotels cheap out, is a new, modern smartTV with a million channels available. 2)There is a mini-bar with super reasonable prices. 3) The bathroom is huge, with TWO sinks and two mirrors! 4) The toilet paper is the good stuff, none of that 1.5 layer sandpaper, this is the full fluffy bonanza. 5) The view is amazing, the location is perfect. Its not near a bussy road so no noise at night. 6) There is a nice balcony with table and two chairs to chill out on. 7) The hotel has a pool and sauna included in the price of every room. We did not visit the sauna, but the pool is fairly large, well maintained and enclosed with a glass dome. Everything was squeaky clean. 8) The breakfast was nothing special, but with good variety of morning foods. Then I learned that we can order scrambled eggs with no extra charge. It sounds silly to rave about scrambled eggs, but I swear to god this was the best scrambled eggs I had in my entire life. 9) The people running this hotel are also the owners, and it really shows. The attention to details and the care for the guests is absolutely amazing. I don't usually write reviews this long, but this place absolutely deserves it. 10/10

We enjoyed absolutely everything. Our highest appreciation for Dunja (the manager) who made everything in her power in order to make us feel like home. It was not out first stay here, so we could appreciate all the improvement made during the time. Some things remained at the highest standards that we known before (the tidiness, good quality of breakfast, amiability of the staff) and other are improved (TV Smart in the room). A very pleasant surprise was the (indoor) pool and the fact that the hotel kept the heating on during the (sometimes cold) spring nights, which we didn't saw often in other hotels of the world. We will return for sure.

Clean, next to the beach. The breakfast was very good. The receptionist is very nice and provided us with ice for our cooler.

We requested private parking, but got street parking in front of hotel (they have only a few private parking spots). The street is very narrow so there is a risk of your car getting damaged.

This hotel was wonderful. A very quiet and peaceful place. The ladies who run the hotel take pride in the hotel and want all of the guests to have a wonderful experience. When I arrived, I was provided with a complimentary cup of espresso. One of the ladies accompanied me to my room and made sure I understood how everything worked and provided me with a kettle. The feeling that one gets in not that one is staying in a hotel, but that one is a guest in the home of a friend. Breakfast was very nice and my "usual order" of eggs was remembered every day! The balcony was lovely. The pool was very nice and the spa was always at least warm-ish and sometimes quite warm. A fitness path is right in front of the hotel and the path along the water and beach only a minute away. A couple minutes walk from a market and restaurants. I will return to Croatia if only to stay at this lovely hotel again.

The wifi in this area of Croatia is not great - I think the hotel has as good of wifi as any in this area - however, it will be nice when better wifi becomes more readily available in this area.

Great breakfast. Staff were awesome from the time we arrived. Property is close to the walkway which takes you 11km or more along the sea towards Opatija. Very quiet when we were there.

The hospitality of the staff was exceptional. Very good breakfast. Beautiful garden. Free indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna for those rainy days. Free private parking. Few steps down to the beach. Proximity of bus stops for Opatija.

Staff are remarkable. So much attention to detail. This is a family owned/run hotel and you feel that they truly care about the property and the guests. Location was exceptional, with a beautiful walk to the beach. Breakfast was delicious, including freshly made eggs of your choice.
