facilities very good and staff too

the room was too warm and we did not appear to have control over the temperature The staff were very good although it was niggling to see staff trying to clear tables at breakfast before people had finished. one couple had got their hot drinks and both went for food. A staff member started to clear the table even though a mobile wa sleft on the table and the drinks were clearly hot. My plate was taken even though my partner was still eating.

Front line reception staff member called Minta made our stay a truly memorable one. Minta was patient, caring and took the time to answer our many questions. Minta went above and beyond to ensure that my family was very comfortable during our stay at this lovely hotel. All staff are friendly, and greet guest with a warm and welcoming smile.

Dogs! Dogs in guest rooms! Totally undesirable! What guarantees are there that the dogs are not urinating in the rooms? This is just too unhygienic. Personally, the idea of the dogs being on beds that other people may later have to sleep on is slightly off-putting for me, However, the good far outweighs the bad so I'll be back!

The location was perfect, had a sea view room which was lovely. Staff were all friendly and helpful particularly Poppy, the waitress in the bar. She is a very polite and professional young lady and nothing we asked for was ever too much trouble. She is a definite asset to the hotel. Breakfast was good and it was nice to have the swimming pool, especially as the weather was so bad. Definitely will be staying at the hotel again.

Having to queue for breakfast in the morning of 1st January. I appreciate the hotel was busy with NYE party guests that had stayed over but there were plenty of 2people tables free. It would have been a good idea for a member of staff to take couples out of the queue and seated them, rather having to wait for the larger parties to be seated. Apart from that, the breakfast was delicious and good quality.

Wonderful location, a beautiful and superclean hotel with very comfortable room and bed, good swimmingpool, amazing breakfast to be enjoyed overlooking the seafront and Brighton beach - unbeatable view. All staff very friendly, attentive and helpful. I like that you can ask frontdesk for showercaps, vanity kits etc rather than having a handful of little boxes of things you may never use cluttering the room or taking up unnecessary surface area in the bathroom. Very neat.

You have to pay for wifi but, somewhat strangely, is handed a complimentary cookie in a paperbag on check-in, which you then have to juggle along with your luggage. Kind of an odd choice for a free-bie and a bit of a nuisance really. Would have preferred free wifi instead of a cookie, as, im sure, would 99,9% of guests.

I was offered the opportunity of paying extra to get into the room early unfortunately that didn't happen which was a disappointment. I do know that the staff did the best that they could and they did prioritise but unfortunately it still didn't happen. I think that 4 o'clock is rather late, to check in. We were staying overnight because we were using the spa but our spa appointment was at 2 pm. It was a Sunday so it closed at 4:30 so what we had to do is deposit our bags find somewhere to get changed before getting into the spa it was a night stay for my daughter's birthday. The really lovely thing that they did do for us as they left a very delicious dessert for her in her room because they knew it was her birthday.

Other than what I would call is a rather late room availability. Even though they tempted us to arrive early if we paid extra to have our room prioritised, we arrived at 12.30 which meant we then had to hang around before we could get into the spa at two and then after the spa had to get dressed and changed and collect our luggage to then take our room I would look at it differently if I was going to do it again.

Our stay at the hotel was fantastic! The property was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. A special mention to our housekeeper, Cristina, who was always smiling and quick to assist us whenever we needed something. Room service was fast and of excellent quality, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, surprising me with a birthday cake in our room and ensuring the crib we requested was ready. Highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and thoughtful touches!

We had a warm welcome and cookie on arrival. I asked for a little surprise for my friend as we were celebrating her 40th birthday and she was very happy. They had arranged a small chocolate dessert which had a happy birthday chocolate and a card sending her best wishes. We used the spa facilities and had a treatment, both of which were very good. Comfortable room and great breakfast with an amazing choice of food including good vegetarian options and everything was clearly labelled.

Our room was a little small and I felt it could have been a better layout for the size. I’m not keen on the bed up against the wall but it was comfortable.

Outstanding friendliness of staff , seem happy in a genuine way in all areas , a man cleaning in pool area when I got lost took me to the lift and when my case fell over he picked it before I noticed. I liked the way the staff seemed to like each other and chatted in a nice welcoming way , it means the hotel has a good vibe if ur staff are happy.

Only thing I found the mattress a bit firmer than previous stays years ago but I slept well . I was a little disappointed that the room layout was different from the picture online. I chose a room that I thought was divided by a wall to a sofa bed but it was all actually in the same room , my friend snores and I wanted a little distance !

Hotel is in a prime location. Breakfast and dinner were good. Complementary cookies on arrival.

Room quite small. No fridge. No bathrobes or water in room. No concierge. We needed a taxi and were told that it would be quicker to order it ourselves as it would take 15 minutes if ordered from reception or walk quite a way to taxi rank - No idea where that was. The female member of staff was very unhelpful but gave me a number. Taxi was there in less than 5 minutes, so I have no idea why she couldn't have done that herself! Breakfast was very busy but food was nice. We usually stay at The Grand Hotel which is just next door and far superior in my opinion for around the same price.
