It was clean, colourful, and I really appreciated the little touches like the earplugs and eyemask, and the lovely wee body wash samples in the bathroom. It felt high end even though the price was excellent.

While I really appreciated the ease of the code based entry, the fact that my door had no manual internal lock really freaked me out. I'm sure you're extremely careful and change the codes for each guest, use new ones for each door etc, but as a woman travelling alone, I felt really unsafe not being able to lock the door from the inside. I ended up stuffing towels under the door to wedge it shut, and even so, had an uneasy night. I appreciate that the code system is smart and means no staff need to be onsite, but I recommend you install a simple bolt on the inside, or at least provide a safety wedge for people to put under the door themselves. It's just a peace of mind thing. Unless I know that to be the case, I wouldn't stay here again without bringing my own door stop.

Great location. Minutes from the beach so great for a morning swim and a walk. There are lots of great bars and restaurants along the water. 5-10 minutes into the The Lanes for a wander and a look around. The check in/check out process was seamless. We were given earplugs and eye masks which worried us a bit, as it was a Saturday night, but we had no issues with noise from inside or outside.

It was pretty small for what we paid, you are definitely paying for the location. Recommendations: - Room Four needs hooks in bathroom (to hang towels and swimmers) and out of bathroom to hang bags/hats/clothes, as there is no cupboard only a metal grate with 3 hangers. - Bathroom is lovely and modern but it needs an extractor fan - We had a problem where the light wouldn't turn off all the way at night (I suspected the dimmer was broken) but have passed this on to the owner after we left.

We originally planned to stay in a hotel just over the road, but after checking in and going to our room, we had to cancel and book somewhere else (it was definitely a poor hotel). This hotel was a stark contrast; had easy and quick check-in - we had to speak to the staff as we booked so late and didn’t get an access code, but they were very quick to help and were very lovely - the room was beautifully lit, the decor was superb and modern, the bed was incredibly large and comfy and despite being a room on the bottom floor (which usually puts me off), it didn’t make a difference as the windows were blurred and so it felt very private but still had natural light to enter too. The bathroom facilities were great and modern. The sink was a tad small but honestly wasn’t that much of a problem. There were coat hooks, bed stands and a little table for us both to use. I would 100% stay here again and plan on doing so on any new excursions to Brighton; not to mention it’s in a superb location if you like being in the heart of the city. Obviously it was more than we wanted to pay (and we actually never got a refund for the other hotel so paid just under £200 for the two together) but you certainly do get what you pay for, which we have learnt.

We loved how modern it was and how amazing the decor was. We were also very impressed with the big room 1. It was great having they living room area so we were able to get ready together and mingle. Absolutely LOVED how central it was, we were within walking distance to absolutely everywhere and didn't need to pay for any cabs.

We didn't like that we were all very separate in the building. One of our friends had the bedroom at the very top of the building while the rest of us were ground floor. It was also not very clean, there was so much dust you could write in it, the cups were also very filthy and we had to wash them all up before using them.

Location was perfect! I liked how easy it was to check in and the bed was super comfortable. The amenities were lovely; Biscoff biscuits (my favourite), coffee, tea and a fridge for my personal use. Shower pressure was great. And I really loved that it came with shower gel, shampoo & conditioner, which I wasn't expecting.

For someone who likes to style their hair on a daily basis, it would have been nice to have a plug socket near the full-length mirror, which was on the back of the bathroom door, just so I could style my hair in front of it. As it was, I needed to do it blindly, but it wasn't exactly a huge issue.

Very comfy, very small, but suitable for my very short partner and I, shower was impressive and the bed was very comfy, provided earplugs and eye mask for the rowdy drunks outside, but hardly heard any of them tbh. Having a microwave and mini fridge right next to the bed to me is a brilliant idea! Did have a fight with the coffee machine but got it sorted. Great location! Very discreet and quiet inside the hotel

The coffee machines catch tray was not emptied from the previous guests and was full of coffee, which upon removing it, did go bit everywhere, I tried my best to clean it so apologises Wasn't an issue for us but more just a caution to other guests. Some floor areas were slightly slanted, so take care especially if you have had a few :)

Loved the location and the vibes of the place. I genuinely really enjoyed my stay, and it became my little home from home.

I'll be honest, and this is me picking: there was mould in the bathroom, but I do get it. Also, the TV remote didn't work, and there were no buttons to change the channel on the TV (when looking, I found loads of dust on top). Sounds daft, but I was really looking forward to watching some TV as I don't have one. It was stuck on the adult channel...

External appearance of the hotel, looked like a hostel or something. When you go in the main hallways look a bit strange and didn't feel of a high standard. Narrow corridors When we left the following morning there were people sat outside our bedroom on the floor, who we assumed were cleaners waiting for us to leave but this was a bit strange. The sound proofing between the floors is poor, we were woken really early by the person in the room above us being sick, very loudly for ages.

I loved the style of the room, the check in was super easy, the bed was a double bed but it felt bigger - which was great! The room I had just had everything you needed, a little mini fridge, microwave, fan for the heat, hairdryer, heating (if required). Honestly, it was such a good place to stay. I really do recommend. Plus, I did this as a solo traveller and felt safe the whole time.

I still give this place a 10/10 however my only little thing would be is you can hear everything outside, i.e people opening their doors, people coming in and out. Outside road works etc you can hear. I am quite a light sleeper so I woke up to this a lot however if you are a deeper sleeper this shouldn't bother you at all. No complaints about the hotel itself, just a little FYI overall.

The property was in a great location, easy to walk from the laines car park, great access to the centre for shopping / dining. The room its self was cosy, loved the decor and feel to it. Great facilities, especially because I took our leftovers back in a doggy bag, then reheated with the microwave (I was actually so happy to see plates, forks and knives). Although no one is physically in the property, I felt safe having my own code, and the security cameras around the property also. Jaqui was also very easy to contact, responded very promptly and had amazing customer service. We are back down in Brighton in 2 weeks visiting family,and because of this we’ve rebooked.

Couldn’t fault it !
