The view from the room is lovely - you can see the sea. The room was a great size and had a dressing table and 2 chairs. The floor had a slope- it gave it some character, and the floor of the room was very clean. The lighting in the room was very good - natural light and 2 bedside lamps a main light and a lamp. There are 3 really good mirrors! The bed was comfortable and the pillows were too. The lighting was nice and bright in the bathroom. Easy checking in and checking out process.

My biggest pet peeve is that there are no plugs anywhere near the bed- infact there are only 2 plugs in the whole room, and these are next to the dressing table. The bathroom - whilst the toilet and sink were clean, the floor could do with more of a clean, and replacing (it looked worn and cheap). The shower takes some time to heat up, and it is a fixed head so you end up wetting your hair. The drain for the shower needs cleaning out- the water collects and the drain cover came off and jt was filthy underneath. You need to dust the bedside tables. There are no lifts and lots of stairs- the room was on the third floor.

Excellent location. The manager upgraded us to bigger and better room for £10 extra. This was excellent. The room we had was huge, beautiful balcony and sea view. Four poster. High ceilings and large comfortable bed. Seating area with armchairs made this an exceptional stay. Definitely recommend this room. It also had a fridge/freezer and a beautiful round large balcony to sit on. The room was number 11.

The only small thing was that the curtains had a plastic cable tie round which meant they could not be opened. However there was a black out blind. Another minor detail was that the bathroom needs updating. But due to its location and size of the room, this is a minor detail.

At first, my booked room was on the 4th floor, since I was with a child, it was difficult for me to go up to the top floor every time. The owner immediately responded to help and find a room below. Immediately on the next day, our family was given a room on the 1st floor. The room is bright, warm, has everything you need, hot water. The staff are very friendly, courteous. Special thanks to the owner of the hotel.

Lovely hotel run by such a nice family, room came with a sea view which was absolutely spectacular! Facilities were good having a kettle and TV in the room with an extra comfy bed. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again!

The only thing I would say would be no lift access so dependent on the room you're walking up a few flights of stairs. The temperature of the shower could also be affected dependent on the time because of the old pipes.

The staff was so friendly and helpful to us while our stay was such more joyable and all the over sights of brighton are all near by . I would definitely love to stay in this hotel again when I'm going back to sunny brighton.

If you are booked on the top floor please beware of about 6 / 7 fights of stairs and there's no lift to help you with your suitcases. But the staff are very very helpful and will help you out

It’s a nice size for a solo traveler. I enjoyed staying in top floor - no neighbour upstairs. The view of the sea and the West Pier was fantastic.

The interior was a bit old - the floor uneven and squeaking, the bathroom door didn’t shut properly. But those were not a big deal for me.

Had the four poster bedroom with sea view and loved it. A bit run down, but utterly charming. Great mattress plus fridge and tea making facilities. Nice staff and quiet nights. Being a romantic you will start writing a novel in this room. Being a realist you might start a list of complaints. Great location. I will return.

The carpet in the room as well as the drain in the shower should be cleaned.

Very nice chap checked me in and even gave a little bit of history about the place.

I searched everywhere in the room but there was no code for the wifi. Because I'd come back after dinner fairly late there was no-one to ask. It really ought to be written somewhere in the room, unless I just missed it. It was only a minor inconvenience really.

The window view of the sea is great and the room was clean. Staff is helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend staying in this hotel for a couple of days visiting Brighton.

It is possible to hear noise from the other rooms during the night, maybe a problem for light sleepers.
