Room, view, surrounds, location, food, Santa, snow, reindeer, auroras. A truly magical experience all up!

Cost, coffee (but Im an Australian coffee snob!)

The cabins are well appointed with good amenities. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff solicitous. A valet named Abdo went out of his way to show us the hotel's tepee, a public viewpoint a little way above the tepee, and the public viewing tower on top of the hill (reaching the tower involved a walk in the scenic woods.

The Hotel reception controls the temperature of each cabin. We asked for higher temperature several times, but the room still felt cold. It turned out the heating system in our cabin wasn't working properly and the staff discovered that on our last day. Perhaps we should have complained more forcefully.

The cottages inside and outside were beautiful and comfortable. Food at dinner was also really good (tasting menu was delicious and great, great wine selection as well, burgers were OK). Great atmosphere to sit by the fireplace and have a chat or a drink. Really liked that they had a whatsapp group to notify you if the Northern Lights were visible from property.

Location is not so picturesque as I had imagined, its conveniently located close to airport but you can see the main road well from property. Breakfast could be abit better, when we had breakfast around 10:00-10:30 alot of the things were quite dry (cheese, crudites, scramples eggs not great).

Had the most amazing 5 days at the hotel, location was superb!!! Walking around the site with the snow covered trees and snowy views was breathtaking! Staff were always available to provide excellent service! Shout out to the amazing breakfast and evening restaurant team and the consistently helpful drivers on site! Restaurant is very high quality, over the week had numerous breakfasts, tried lunch and dinner (5 course taster in particular was delicious) and all were very impressive and again the serving staff were always friendly and attentive. The walk to the nearby Santa's village was stunning and a good way to burn off a hearty breakfast! One evening we were blessed to see the amazing Northern Lights and the staff went above and beyond to provide us the best advice to take advantage of this amazing experience!! Whilst we didn't take advantage of the onsite provided experiences, those that did spoke very highly of them. Overall an incredible 5 days and cannot thank the staff and hotel enough!

Whilst the rooms are comfy, warm, quiet and the views are superb!! feel a bit of tlc was needed on our room, doors not quite shutting correctly, coffee machine probably needs a good flush through, also felt a complimentary bottle of something would have added an extra touch, but this is being picky, overall an excellent stay.

The support from the guest relations was exceptional. Our flight was delayed and we missed a day stay in the hotel and could had missed the activities that we had planned. We emailed the hotel and got an immediate reply and our activities were rebooked without any hassled. Our room was all ready for us when we checked in the following day. They also prepared a to go breakfast as we have an early morning activity as well as when we left early for the airport.

We have to email the reception for housekeeping to replace drinks and condiments that we needed.

Excellent guest services. The hotel uses WhatsApp which is such a clever way for guests to reach out to the hotel. Response to our requests were prompt and fulfilled. I have travelled to many many luxury hotels over the years but this hotel is the best service I have ever experienced!b Staff seem happy too, which is a nice feel for guests.

Must confess that we were disappointed with Raka Restaurant. Food portions are small and most food combinations did not really appeal. It feels like the chef is trying to hard … we would prefer good, simple and well-balanced food portions.

I think the only negative part was the amount of children running wild in the restaurant at meal times. It seems crazy such a high end restaurant are not a bit stricter on this. I understand its bound to attract families due to the proximity of the santa village but children running around the restaurant screaming and playing at mealtimes, and coughing over the buffet breakfast is not appropriate or fair on anyone. I just wonder if there is any way of controlling this? There were also very well behaved children there who were no trouble and whose parents kept them under control! Other than that fact, absolutely perfect!!

Everything perfect. We enjoyed it a lot. Very high-standard hotel combine premium services, with a boutique style with a perfect localization in the middle of the woods.

If you are without a car, the hotel is a little remote and you will spend quite a budget on taxi services that are expensive in Rovaniemi mainly due to the demand related to Santa Claus village. You can walk from the hotel to Santa's villa, quite a nice walk, but it is the only thing you can visit without calling a taxi,

The rooms are beautiful, romantic & cosy. Request a room with a clear view of the forest. We were in room 44 and the view was great straight out to the forest. The hotel organised a cake and flowers as an extra on arrival. Friendly staff that are ready to help out, organise taxis etc. Raka restaurant is lovely, great food and buffet breakfast is included. Bottle of nice red wine is about €80. In early November there was very little snow so not many activities running. Santa Claus village is great fun, can walk to it from the hotel. We had a lovely 4 night stay. I recommend the hotel for a romantic experience away.

It would have been good if the fire pit Tipi was open and ready to use. Sometimes the restaurant staff were alittle slow to bring a menu.
