The hotel locates in the center of Rovaniemi and near the river. Its location is very good. There are many restaurants around the hotel, including its own restaurant which is very good. I reserved table before arrival. Kids like the moose meat very much. The hotel is well-decorated. The lobby is cozy. We booked a family room which has one Queen-sized bed and two single beds. The room is big enough for meet the need of a family. Breakfast is good. Staff of reception desk are very helpful. He told us that we could take sleds for kids and there is a playground not far away. The hotel, the room, the restaurant, the service and the beds are quite good, although the price is also a little expensive.

The hotel is beautiful, stylish (it's a boutique hotel) and the breakfast! I can say it was the best of the whole trip, it's just fantastic! Not only visually wonderful, it's full of options and has just about everything! We loved it! The bed is super comfy, the room has a good size and is very well furnished and lit. The hotel has a restaurant and the food is excellent! And the window opens, even just a little , which is an important point for us, because we need a cool room to sleep and It's not often that the room temperature is cool enough for us to sleep in. The hotel has a very good location in Rovaniemi if you don’t want to drive, and has parking lot as well.

The shower box is really tight, although the shower itself is fantastic! You felt like you were under a waterfall! The size of the shower was the only thing I didn't like.

We're family of 4. We stayed in the polar street double room. The room is very well equipped, very clean and well decorated. Cosy room to relax. Since it's on street level, it's nice to just step out of the room and enjoy the snow right outside the room. Breakfast was good, service was excellent. We also enjoyed the sauna as a family. It's a private space which we could book for an hour for our family use only. Location is excellent. Walking distance to train station, to restaurants, to meeting place for tour activities. Overall, am enjoyable stay.

I was one of the first guests at this hotel the first week it opened and I will always stay here when in Rovaniemi. It is still my favorite hotel in Europe, though I will admit that the first cook the hotel had (years ago) cannot be topped and I miss some of the entrees from earlier visits. The room is very comfortable, though if you get a room where the sun beats through the window, you'll need to turn off the heat and crack open a window. Everyone working at the front desk is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is still the best of all places I stay in Germany and Finland. On this visit,I ate dinner at the hotel every day and it was excellent. I particularly loved the salad and the reindeer tartare. Waldemar, the server, does his best to please. Finally, it is nice to be able to reserve the sauna for personal use, and it is a good one. For first time visitors. . . if you appreciate art, do not miss the Korundi. The curator there is outstanding. If you get the Culture Pass, it allows you to go to Korundi, Arktikum, and Pilke as many times as you like for a week. All three museums are really good. I went to Korundi every day I was there. Also, be sure to find out if there are any concerts or dance concerts at the Korundi while you are there. Fun place.

I miss some of the cocktails the hotel used to serve, especially the Tulle (sp), which sadly nobody knows how to make now. I think in the past the bartender must have just known how to make a lot of outstanding drinks and when he left, they left, too. It's a small detail, but those little touches like specialty drinks, really make an impression.

We stayed at the Christmas Cabin. The decoration and design was excellent. We are surprised to have a Christmas tree with light at the suite.

The restaurant is cosy but the service and the food are not as good as the next door Nili and the sister restaurant Monte Rosa at the City hotel. Customer at the next table used hand free to speak over the phone loudly. People dining in Monte Rosa are different.

Responsive and kind staff accepted my packages and helped with declaration and delivery of one of them from the post office. This hotel exceeded my expectations compared to other more expensive hotels we stayed in Santa Claus Village near Rovaniemi. Caring staff, excellent breakfast, even with the fresh berries, location right next to the city center beautifully decorated for Christmas. We enjoyed being there.

I don't have

The breakfast was copious, varied and utterly delicious. We could have sat over it all day. Definitely a highlight. We also thoroughly enjoyed our meals in the restaurant, which had a very nice children’s menu as well. The stay was completed by the delightful receptionist Max, and his colleagues, who could not have been more helpful and friendly.

Great modern hotel with Finish design and tastefully appointed rooms. Very comfortable, very beautiful. Even though this is a fairly large hotel it feels intimate and friendly. Room, bed, bath all excellent. Breakfast buffet was over the top with quality and selection far exceeding expectations. Located very close to city center. No restaurant but several nearby.

Everything was great!

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The location is very central to everything - within walking distance of restaurants, shops, travel centers etc. The breakfast is delicious, there is plenty of choice for everyone. The rooms are very large and extremely comfortable, slept so well every night. The rain showers are exceptional especially after a long day of outdoor activities in the cold and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was lush. The staff at reception are so friendly and helpful with every inquiry we had, nothing was too much trouble at any time of day or night. The bus for Santa Claus village & airport is just outside the back door of the hotel so very easy to access. If you are considering booking this hotel don't hesitate you will not be disappointed.

There is nothing we didn't like

Service was attentive. Great thing about the room was that air conditioning actually worked and it was possible to set to a comfortable level. Many hotels have air con, but temperature cannot be adjusted. Breakfast was great. Convenient location for business.

Very minor detail, but something easily improved. There was only a half a roll of toilet paper in the room. Would be nice to have a spare roll in the cupboard somewhere, so visitor doesn't have to request it from reception.
