Very near to the cathedral and other attractions. Beautiful and comfortable room with view of the cathedral. Nice furniture. Excellent breakfast. In-house bar and restaurant. Private parking. Great cordiality and sympathy.

We asked for and paid extra for rooms with Cathedral view for the nightly illuminations. Our rooms were exceptional as far as the view went. We had a bullseye view of the Cathedral all the time, and during the nighttime illuminations, we were able to view the festivities for over an hour after we returned to our rooms. This hotel was beyond our expectations and I have been recommending it to all those I tell about my trip. The staff was cordial, taking our bags when we arrived before check-in time and keeping our bags after we checked out but still had two hours before train time. They acted like they were happy to accommodate us.

Nothing could have been better

Very helpful and friendly staff, the restaurant was excellent, would eat there again even if we weren't staying at the hotel. the room was comfortable with a good view of the cathedral. The location to the centre of town is only a short walk away. The use of the private parking is a must and it was only 80m away from the hotel.

The ensuite bathroom in the room was a little cramped, could have done with a little more space.

Location is perfect and I had a beautiful view of the cathedral. Room was lovely and clean. Restaurant on site was excellent. Nice professional staff.

Booking indicated room had air conditioning, but it was more like an air circulating fan. Heat had broken, so I slept with window open and was fine. Elevator was broken, so had to carry bags up 4 flights, but they did offer to have someone help me. Elevator was fixed and back running when I checked out. But I would still highly recommend unless it's really hot out.

Hotel decor is lovely, with dark walls and a retro vibe. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location is perfect for seeing the cathedral. I reserved a 2 room suite with pullout couch not expecting to use the pull-out. My cousin ended up using the pull-out bed and said it was very comfortable. That was a big plus!

I guess the bathroom would be the only slight negative. It had a hand held shower head in the bathtub but it was perfectly fine for me. Someone with mobility issues would not be able to get in and out of the tub in that room.

The view was the main reason for choosing this hotel and it didn't disappoint. We didn't book the breakfast but decided to have it on the spur of the moment. It was way above the normal buffet affair - not quite "full English" but eggs and toast were available for self-preparation

The only very minor issue was the location of the shower-head - across the bath - so use of the curtain was essential.

Very nice restaurant. Great location near the train station and the famous cathedral.

The room is small but comfortable. The bathroom however, is awkwardly small with the toilet bowl taking up half of the footprint. There was a sewer smell coming out of the bathroom for the first 24 hours so we left the bathroom window open despite the cold weather.

Lovely hotel, well located and with free parking a short walk from the hotel. We had a lovely room which overlooked the cathedral. Staff were very helpful and provided us with any information we needed. Breakfast was superb with plenty of choice, lovely cheeses, breads, meats, cereals, fruit etc.

Nothing we were very happy with our stay

Superb central location. Great view of the cathedral. Helpful friendly staff. Lovely breakfast and dining room. We felt very comfortable. They happily accepted our dogs.

The room was very compact. Quite steep stairs, or the smallest lift I have ever seen. Not a problem for ourselves, but could be for others.

Location superb. Room excellent. Staff excellent. Breakfast extremely good.

Ate in the restaurant for dinner. Not too impressed. My wife had monkfish. Was under cooked. Value for money in the restaurant wass a little high. A pity, because the rest of the hotel and staff was great.
