We went to Chartres as it was on our way to Paris and we wanted to have some proper rest before going back to the capital. Booked ourselves a room at Residhome and it was a great decision. The property is located in a nice area, within walking distance to the center with all the shops, restaurants, etc... There is a nice bakery right next to the hotel so you can enjoy some nice breakfast (or get one from the hotel itself). The staff at the hotel was super nice, helped us with a parking spot (it is 8EUR per night) and were also nice to let us keep the car at the parking few more hours after checkout while we were walking in the city before leaving. We had a nice and quiet room, very clean and comfortable. A huge window gave a nice city view, bed was big and comfy as well and had lights and plus attached to it - perfect to charge your gadgets during night. Bathroom with shower contained all necessary amenities and small kitchenette was equipped with a stove, had plates, cutleries and a kettle. There are also coffee machines and vending machine at the lobby where they sell some goodies one might need.

Truth be told, nothing to complain about as our stay was really nice and we didn't notice any particular drawbacks.

There is nothing not to like!

Great room. Large with nice furnishings. Actually the whole hotel is fairly recent. Great location!

Missing some basic kitchen utensils. Also shower is one where you simply pull a curtain in the bathroom to take the shower. End result is that a large portion of the floor is wet. Finally they have a nice parking however it is limited so make sure you reserve your parking, if you need it, at the time of reservation and then check a few weeks before that they did actually reserve a parking spot for every night you are staying. Parking in Chartres looks pretty challenging otherwise.

We were welcome by the beautiful and kind Faith, she is the type of person who immediately brightens the room, and she did just that. After a very very long drive, she made us feel very welcome and brought a smile to our faces. I have traveled a lot, and Faith is exactly the type of staff every hotel can only wish for. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, pillows not my favorite but that's personal preference.

It would be nice if there was a decaffeinated coffee option. But I guess it's not that common.

Very clean and comfortable place to stay. Good air conditioning in room which was very welcome during very hot weather. Kitchen facilities were good and nice to have a dishwasher. Staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Parking was very secure and worth booking in advance. Close to bus stop on main route into city centre, which was convenient for getting to the train station. However it is not far to walk into the old centre which has plenty of nice places to eat and drink.

Recently renovated facilities, everything looks new and clean, classy photos of Chartres on the walls. Stuff is friendly, you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. You can easily walk to the city center, railway station and local sights. Very nice experience, thank you for our stay :)

We didn't check with the stuff, but maybe you can ask for salt and other condiments from them, otherwise buy it. But there is a nice welcome pack with water bottles, some tea, coffee and cookies!

Stylish, clean and comfortable. Easy location to the town.

Lack of free car parking and missing inventory items - only one fork and no water glasses. We ended up eating pasta with a spoon! Additional costs I wasn't expecting. My booking.com booking said taxes included but the hotel charged extra for tax. The total additional cost for taxes, pets and car parking came to 29 Euros.

It is a great hotel; Faith, the receptionist, is welcoming and very helpful.

I would have liked signage to the hotel car park and instructions on how to get in before I arrived. I had to exit the car and go up the walkway to the hotel to find out how to get into the car park, which was not ideal when there wasn't anywhere to park that had clear signs. Anyone reading this, I found out you park up underneath the hotel front door, go and check-in, and then they give you a pass key to enter the car park.

Nice and clean bedroom with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was ok (terrible coffee, but the rest was good). The staff is friendly and helpful. Finding a parking spot in the neighborhood can be a challenge but you can also book a parking spot through the hotel itself.

Nothing, actually. It was all ok. I really can't complain about anything, apart from the very watery and tasteless coffee served for breakfast.

Easy to get to, on site parking (8 euros, book ahead), friendly staff, comfortable rooms. 10 minutes walk into the centre of Chartres. Dog friendly. A nice place to stay which we’ve now used a few times when travelling through France and would book again.

Not a complaint but there are additional costs for parking (8 euro), dog (10 euro) and city tax (about 3 euros) so you need to factor that in when calculating your bill. Even so it was good value on the day we booked.
