This hotel exceeded our expectations, especially for a city hotel. The location is fantastic sat next to a lovely cool park with many walks. The walk into the town and harbour is very easy about 10 minutes, so perfect to walk into the harbour area to eat, take boat trips, stroll around and also visit the beautiful cathedral. The room was cool, although high window not very light. The staff were very friendly, we were able to unload our car from a parking space outside the hotel and straight into the lift which was handy. We then had to find the hotel secure parking which is located behind the hotel, but you can walk to and from once parked, through the park. There is CCTV in the secure car park. The Hotel has a very good coffee machine in the lobby where you can help yourself to free coffee which was most appreciated.

The car park was not at the hotel, although perfectly okay once we had found it the first time and our car was safe. The lack of light in our bedroom because of high up window

Fantastic Stay in a Great Location!** I recently stayed at this hotel and had an excellent experience. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the surrounding area and access local attractions. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with modern amenities that made my stay even more enjoyable. I was also impressed by the convenience of the on-site parking, which made it stress-free to bring my car. Overall, the hotel provided great value, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on my next visit!

The hotel is located at 10-15 min walking distance from la Rochelle old city. You can take the way through a park where you can see a small zoo garden. The property has several parking places which makes a big difference from other hotels advertised on Booking.com who have registered under facilities "Parking" but when you read the details you see that there is public parking nearby and reservation is not possible. @Booking.com please do not list Parking under hotel facilities if the place is not managed by the property. Finally, for the personnel at Central Park Hotel many thanks for their warm attitude.

Location is fantastic. A ten minute walk to the old port or five minute walk to a small beach. A lovely park next door with trails for walking and running. Very quiet and secure at night. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and gave us some great recommendations during our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was a bit disorganised and short staffed but the buffet was nice with plenty choice.

The hotel is ideally situated for the park, the beach and the town. Everything was lovely. We were given the incentive to not have our room cleaned during our stay and for this we had a complimentary glass of champagne or beer each evening, which was an excellent incentive.

Nothing really. The chap in the dining room at breakfast wasn't very good at keeping up with table clearing and resetting but the breakfast buffet was excellent.

Staff were absolutely wonderful - couldn't do enough for you, extremely friendly and welcoming. Bedroom was lovely, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Location was perfect, walking distance to the centre of everything and the beach. Massage was super and the thermal suite was beautiful. Very relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel.

Only thing was the jacuzzi needed to be much hotter for me. Very very lukewarm - I like a hot jacuzzi for the aches and pains!

Friendly helpful staff. The room was very clean. The hotel is situated next to a large city park and while on a busy road it was peaceful at nighttime. If you stay for 2 nights or more and forego housekeeping you are rewarded with a complementary glass of champagne each day.

We found the hotel to be very acceptable but did not try all the facilities as we were in La Rochelle to visit family.

Super location for access to old town , local beach and exit to Ile de Re and Oleron. Reception staff top class- friendly, efficient and helpful. Also cleaning lady who helped us with a parking issue. Wellness centre is spacious,clean and well set out.

It's basically an apart hotel.

All the reception staff are very friendly, good fun and helpful. Our room was a good size with a comfortable bed, large TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a decent shower. The location - immediately opposite the lovely park - and a 10 minute walk to the busy harbour is perfect as it allows you to visit and enjoy the buzz without being disturbed by it later on. The excellent breakfast buffet made the overall cost of the stay good value-for-money.

The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming - the best hotel staff we have ever met. The bedroom was clean and in very good condition. All the general areas, like corridors, lounge, dining room, hallways and the gardens were clean and well cared for. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

I would have liked slippers to be provided, for non-spa customers, like us, a coffee machine in the bedroom, rather than instant granules (ugh!), more Lipton's yellow teabags for my husband and some fresh milk. The only other thing was that the shower tray was stained yellow and the grouting, near the shower tray needed to be repaired. During breakfast, there was a very shouty woman in charge, in the kitchen. Some of the young staff were nervous around her.
