The hotel was great and a fab location. easy to walk into the town square for drinks or for shopping and for evening entertainment. Staff were incredibly friendly and we felt comfortable and at ease. We were able to speak some french but staff also took efforts to speak english with us. The rooms were basic but very cosy with nice touches to be homely and all that we needed for our stay. There was a really nice lounge area that could be used for drinks in the early evening and we had two meals in the hotel restaurant in the evenings. Food was mostly vegetarian. The lounge area also worked to read or play cards with the kids in the evening. Breakfast had a really good self service choice (yoghurt, bread and pastries, cheese and hams) and was just what we wanted. Restaurant and main living area of hotel has the most amazing view of the valley and mountains which was just beautiful. Ski lockers shared with other residents but close to the piste. Had to go down to go up to the slopes but worked fine. So good we would stay here again if we return.

The bath was short so you couldn't lie down! But the water was hot and the room really clean so not a complaint at all.

The location of the hotel was brilliant, this was my first ski trip to Les Menuires, my children normally go here with school but to a different hotel, but was within walking distance of the main slope, was a great ski in / ski out location to take you down to 3 chair lifts which takes you on a variety of runs & also a short walk to pick up equipment from Intersport & the local supermarket. The staff were really friendly & helpful when I was asking about staying again in December.

I was a little disappointed that the bathroom only had a handheld shower & no shower on the wall or shower curtain, so to have a shower was a little difficult although not impossible. I’m not a massive fan of baths but by the end of the trip a soak was well needed for my tired legs & knees!

We loved this cosy spot!! Perfect location in the best village in the valley (in my opinion). The staff were all so kind and went the extra mile for us on a few occasions. Breakfast was amazing and the vibe of the whole space is so lovely. Great spot for a quiet après when the weather isn’t great. Or if the suns out they have the most perfect sun-facing terrace/bar. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

The only comment I would make here is around the soundproofing between floors/walls. That stood out to us but I’m sure it could be fixed with some upholstery or increased insulation… or a set of earplugs provided in the interim :) should be noted we were in a small room on floor 3 just below the reception so maybe that was a factor. In addition there was no fan in the bathroom so when we took showers the entire room got quite humid/damp. My only reasons for not giving a 10 out of 10. Everything else was spot on.

It's a hostel, so we knew we would not be getting luxury accommodation. We wanted somewhere to stay for an extra couple of nights before moving on to our main accommodation for a full week. Ho36 was very nice, and an excellent budget option. The communal area / bar / restaurant is welcoming and attractive, and the food and drink options great. The family room is small, which we expected, but clean and nicely furnished.

The bath had a shower unit, but no shower curtain or place to hold the shower overhead. So lots of showers sitting in the bath or kneeling -- this would be a very simple improvement. Great to have a ski room, but no heated boot racks is a minus. It also felt a bit insecure, with no lockers for skis or boots, or guest key required to get in or out.

All of it, great comfortable accommodation in a great location for all amenities, restaurants & bars and close enough to the ski lifts.

General costs to eat & drink out for a family combined with the cost of the holiday when you factor in flights, car hire, accommodation, lift passes and ski hire etc all adds up and puts it beyond the reach of the average family especially if you also require a decent summer (main?) holiday too, but it wasn't unexpected.

Fantastic affordable option for the area. Incredible access to ski fields and centre of town (without town noise). We had room 206, which was larger than anticipated from the photos and incredible mountain views. Ski in ski out from good safe storage area for equipment. We chose to self-cater, but there was access to microwave, toaster and boiling water in the shared area with suitable access to cups, plates and cutlery etc. Access to room with arm bands which was handy. Room appeared to be vacuumed and rubbish emptied every second day, however no change of sheets or towels or replenishment of toilet paper.

Bathroom - small bath tub with detached shower head. However there was no way to shower standing up as no holder for shower head or shower curtain so bathroom became covered in water. No shampoo or conditioner provided. Room cleaning - Towels were changed once during 8 night stay (after asking). Toilet paper not replaced during stay had to ask reception multiple times and received only one roll at a time. “Meeting room” on second floor - used for band practice / loud rock music in the evening. Second floor corridor reeks of marijuana and perfumes trying to cover the smell. We thought the smell was a once off but this happened throughout the week and appeared to be coming from the “meeting room”.

Great place to stay for a short ski trip with my partner. Convenient location accessible by ski, lots of parking space nearby.

Breakfast was simple (no hot food and it would have been nice to be offered coffee from the espresso machine instead of filter coffee from a tank). Our shower was a very small bathtub with no curtain/holder for the showerhead, which made for a slightly messy experience...

Great location, friendly staff, great breakfast, ski in/out and right next to a hire shop. 3 min walk to shopping centre with many excellent restaurants.

Room very small for 4 people (we were three). Curtains didn’t cover the whole window and lighting a bit dark but facilities made up for it.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They provided valuable information on shuttle service from train station and ski rentals. The mountain view of our room was really nice.

The room is too hot and humid for us. We have no way to adjust the temperature. Bunk bed in the family room seems to be smaller than a typical twin bed.

I stayed at the hostel on my own. However I had 17 other friends at other places. We all (18 of us) had a meal at the hostel. The food was very good and the staff were very good too. It was also very reasonable cost.
