The private room was a pleasant surprise. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious, making it a relaxing retreat. The shared toilet was clean, which is always a plus. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable.

While the room itself was great, the location wasn't ideal. It's a bit far from the city center and the neighborhood isn't as charming as others. The shower unfortunately flooded due to the shower curtain, and the nice furniture near the sink was at risk of water damage. It would be great if there was a better solution for this. Overall, the room was a comfortable stay, but the location and shower issues were minor drawbacks.

Very clean and bright hostel! Cozy room with a nice general place to chill outside Breakfast was also good! They have curtains for a better sleeping experience & privacy and also hand out ear protection in case you need it You're not allowed to drink your own alcohol, but they serve beer&wine :)

The toilet&shower room right next to our room wasn't that great (slippery floor I guess bc. someone messed up while showering, and the lock was pretty much unusable (took 3 or 4 times of spinning to get it locked or unlocked), the facilities in the first floor are much better, because there are more of them, and they are cleaner because of a better separation between shower and toilet (and the locks also work properly) I'd assume the lock is probably fixed by now and the slippery floor might've been a one time thing Still, more facilities close to the room would've been nice

The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The hostel has very pleasant design, and the room as well. It was clean, and necessary things were provided (there were even earplugs at reception and a little coffee machine in the room). The bed was comfortable. Great value for money, and quite conveniently located to walk to the main attractions.

The sound and light isolation is not the best, so definitely have eyemask and earplugs for sleeping if those things bother you. The neighborhood seems a bit dodgy. I missed having some sort of wardrobe / hangers in the room, but there were chairs, so I could use them to prepare clothes.

The facilities were clean and pleasant. We stayed in a private room, and both check-in and check-out were quick and painless. We liked how lively the area felt, and how easy it was to get there from the train station.

It was quite cold the days we were there, and it was difficult figuring out how to work the radiator in the room. The doors are also quite thin, and since we were near reception if there were loud guests at the entrance in the evening we could hear them well.

We came to Lyon for the festival of lights, stayed in the hostel Slo Lyon Saxe for 1 night, and were very pleased. The hostel is conveniently located, there is a metro nearby, and the city center is no more than 15 minutes on foot. Even before our arrival, we received polite letters offering online check-in, explanations of how to get to the hostel, and offers of assistance. The hostel is clean, quiet, there are comfortable beds, new snow-white linen. We had a small room with a bunk bed, like a cabin on a ferry. Toilet, washbasin and shower nearby. The room included a kettle, cups, different types of tea, a small basket of tangerines and sweets, as well as a postcard wishing you a good stay in Lyon and a map of the city with information about the light show. It was very nice! The hostel has a pleasant homely atmosphere, with a tastefully decorated cozy common room and a charming courtyard. In these spacious rooms you can work with a laptop, read, or drink coffee. The audience is nice, mostly young people, but there are also older guests. The staff is friendly, everyone speaks good English. Breakfast looks attractive, but we didn't have breakfast. We had a great sleep, staying in the hostel Slo Lyon Saxe became one of our good memories of our trip to Lyon.

It would be nice to add instant coffee bags to the tea bags...

Very friendly staff, a nice little reception area and patio, space in the fridge and a little kitchen

It’s very handy , in a diverse area but there were quite a lot of young men hanging around in groups nearby. I was fine and nobody bothered me but it had a little edge to it. Showers and loos were upstairs - shower is very small - not much room to get changed, but plenty of hot water. Lyon was fab. I would stay again if I went there again.

Clean small bunk room. Staff super friendly. Nice decor and relaxed common area with a small but useful kitchen. I really liked the area which has a groovy up-and-coming vibe.

The room is small and therefore gets easily stuffy and the windows were basically on street level with no bars or security measures. It felt a bit weird to have them open at night. We had to rig them with things that would fall down should anyone climb in!

The staff is really kind and friendly, she let me left my luggage there the whole day and I even went back for a little rest in the lobby and used the bathroom after checking out. The bed and shower rooms are clean, the room and lobby was decorated cozy, and I also like they have a little curtain near each bed to give more privacy.

The location is pretty close to the public transport, however it's still in a alley that make me feel a little nervous when passing during nights.

My expectations were not high but that was the best sleep I ever got in an hostel! Nice bed, cozy rooms. Areas to hang out with people were also pretty nice. Also the check-in process and the people in the reception were really helpful with everything. Bonus: Try the blonde beer they have, it`s really good!

Number of bathrooms. I didn`t have any problem with it but might be a problem if everyone tries to go at once.

We had a private room in this hostel and it was much nicer than I would have expected from hostel-style accommodation. The bed was very comfortable, the room was impeccably clean and stylishly decorated. There was even a proper coffee machine and other hot drink-making facilities. The shower was very clean with good water pressure. I was also pleased that the accommodation was not noisy, as some hostels are. They also made free ear plugs available at reception just in case.

The only criticism was that there was no toilet in the room, whereas there was a shower and a wash basin. I would almost have preferred to have a toilet in the room and a shared shower, because if you need to get up in the night you have to get dressed etc. But it's a minor criticism.
