Staff. At the reception, the worker spoke only Georgian, we tried to explain something to her with gestures and through Google translator, and we were able to negotiate, but I was surprised that she didn’t even try to use a translator or somehow understand us, although we speak fluently 4 foreign languages ​​including international English Hotel manager. She spoke Russian and English, she was nearby but was in no hurry to help with translation, correspondence on her phone was more important to her than guests, although when she wasn’t looking at her phone, she could tell us something... But overall, thanks to Google to the translator

Firstly, StarHostel is very easy to find and within walking distance to all the attractions in Kutaisi. The staff (aunties) are extremely friendly and give you the best room possible to ensure you enjoy this historical city well enough. Secondly, the room is clean, spacious, cozy, and comfortable. It offers en-suite toilets and an air-conditioner to rest well during hot summer months (June). Thirdly, the "living room" has a good vibe where you could watch the "EuroCup" and talk with fellow travelers from other parts of the world. I would highly recommend this place to everyone traveling to Kutaisi.

I liked the welcome of the staff. I was only staying one night because of a flight connection next day. I liked the cleanliness of the whole of the hostel, including the bedroom, sheets, bathroom and kitchen. There is a handy ATM just a short walk from the hostel and a nifty little convenience store across the road. I liked the large sitting room in the reception area which enabled us to get to know new people and socialise. What I especially liked was the bunk bed with a privacy curtain and wide extremely comfortable mattress with clean white bed linen, wall lamp and socket to recharge my mobile phone. The price for my stay was very good value and I have been considering a brief return in the future. Thank you for my great stay.

Comfortable and good-sized hostel - at least I was lucky that the dorms weren't full. There are decent communal spaces (especially the balcony in summer) and security with luggage lockers in dorms.

No breakfast (despite being mentioned) and coffee only provided as a special favour. Would advise you to bring own teabags. Bit noisy at night because there's a loose speedbump on the street directly outside so every time a car goes past there is an allmighty clunk.

The hostel was super nice. I booked a twin room to share with a friend and it was a good price for what we had, also with working air conditioning which in these super hot days is a total must have. The staff was great, it was a super sunny and hot day and some other friends that were going to go later to the airport asked to use the showers and the staff allowed them to rent a room (at a very good price) for them to rest a bit and shower. They were super helpful also regarding the fact that they also provided us a lot of options for transportation to the airport or other places. The commodities were very nice, I saw cleaning ladies all the time, making sure everything was clean.

Good location, near the city center but on a busy street. The room was a single room in a hostel, and I had my own shower which I really appreciated. The bathroom was exceptionally good for a hostel. The bed was confy.

The staff was not really nice. I arrived two hours before the check-in and wanted to leave my backpack in the hostel and come back later. They said that everything above 1 hour cost 5 lari per hour, which I found exagerated. Further, I asked them to order a taxi for me for the next day to the airport. They don't have their own taxi service, so they had to call an external provider, but without calling it, they already told me that it will cost 50 lari. I checked later on the Bolt app, the price is between 20 and 25 lari, depending on the size of the car. Sure that I used the bolt app, but if I relied on the information from the reception, I paid double the price. I think that this wipe off should be known to everyone who books there

room was clean, bed was super comfy, washrooms tidy as well. Hostel is located at a great location close to major attractions, restaurants and parks. The staff at the reception was super helpful, we arrived early and requested to check in, we were checked in immediately (9am) They also printed us our boarding passes on request. I would highly recommend staying here if you're on a budget and if you're the kind of traveler planning to spend majority of your time exploring the city, and return to the hostel to get a good nights sleep.

always good understanding languages mattress ok wifi very ok location ok management is total awake and always very ready to help . late shopping across the street . can get travel infos here, because its cheap . the kitchen is small .

the beds/rooms without bathroom are noisy, so negociate pls if long stay . because its happy reception with happy young managergirl laughing a lot too much-so bit loud there . night is quiet .

Just like my stay in 2020, before Covid outbreak, full satisfaction of this pleasant and excellent hostel ! The always friendly receptionist Tamuna, the 2 older ladies keeping the entire place perfectly clean, always ready for a talk. Excellent location, just 5 minutes walking to Colchis-fountain, restaurants, shops. The interior of the hostel has been reorganised and is now very cosy to relax, to use the kitchen, watch TV in the living room. Just keep on going as it is now best friends from Star Hostel ! Just 1 BIG THANK YOU for your sympathy and friendship !

All impressions are individual, and can change and be different from person to person. But for me, experienced world traveller, now at the age of 65, this hostel is just an excellent place to stay ... No complaints ....
