The bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely clean. The hotel is in a great area, very central and near lots of cute cafes. The staff was warm and helpful, and I appreciated the no-fuss check-in/out. There is a nice lounge/breakfast area, and an outdoor area overlooking the canal. They held our luggage for us all day while we walked around and had a very organized system for doing this.

The room is very basic and small. It lacks furniture to rest luggage on, the sink is separate from the toilet and the shower, and the shower is in the middle of the room, which doesn’t make it feel particularly homey. Plus, the walls are thin and you can hear everything, especially in the corridor. It’s pricey, but on the lower end for Hamburg.

The location was amazing. I had such an easy time getting to and from the airport via the S1 train, and it was within walking distance to many points of interest during my trip. The downstairs bar was very cozy and comfy and I received a drink voucher when I declined room cleaning during my stay, (no problem since I was only there a few days!) The room was just the right size for me and I loved the shower with the rainfall shower head.

The floors were a little worn and the bed was a bit hard, but that’s all!

We arrived off an early flight, and our room was ready. Staff were very helpful checking in. There are several restaurants within a couple of minutes walk of the hotel, and the U-Bahn and S-Bahn are within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. The main sights of the old town are only 10-15 minutes walk of the hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean, albeit on the small side.

Breakfast was €24 per person, which is exorbitant. However, there is a bakery 100m down the street. The design of the shower does not provide adequate privacy.

The location of the hotel is excellent - just a short walk to the S-Bahn stop Stadthausbrücke and to the city center (Jungfernstieg). The interior design of the lobby is modern and appealing.

The sink and shower are in the middle of the room. If you‘re not staying with your partner, this is definitely a no go because you don’t have any privacy. I honestly don‘t get the idea behind these concepts… It seems to be more and more hotels are integrating these “modern” designs which are not practical and they don’t make sense to me.

Perfect location

Pictures of the room on booking.com are not up to date. We booked the Loft Room and as per booking it has a rounded window. We got the Loft Room but instead of one rounded window we hit a room in which 2 walls were window. It didnt have the cosy feeling at all and we were told that the room with the rounded windows are a higher category than the Loft but there was no room available. The staff was very helpful ti find a different room, which was a downgrade roomwise but since it was our choice to downgrade there was no price reduction.

Regarding the check-in process, everything was digitalized so you only fill in forms via a provided electronic screen/tablet. The staff was really helpful with issues/questions and committed to resolve things quickly. There is AC in the room that worked well against humidity outside. The hotel is located in a very safe district where you can return/leave late at night. Also, it is close to the touristy places in the city center which you can reach on foot without needing the public transportation. Even if you need it, bus and metro stations are nearby.

Good location, close to public transportation. Spacious room, and good breakfast (except the terrible tasting coffee...) with a variety of choices. Guests may opt for no room cleaning during their stay, which is a nice environmental friendly option.

The room doors close loosely. When the door of the neighbouring room is slammed, it shakes other doors, and feels like someone is trying to break into your room. It is not pleasant to wake up to this at night (several times). Your bank card will be charged with the full cost of your stay before arrival, at 8:00 a.m. on the first day. This is different from the information given by booking.com, which only informs about the price of one night. This may be inconvenient if the card used for the booking and for the actual payment are different.

The warm and welcoming staff and its location right above a channel and very conveniently close to the city centre.

For a hotel of its category, certain things, such as minibar, amenities kit, slippers, a desk phone to contact the reception in case of emergency at least and cleanliness should be for granted. The lack of the above and the spiders I shared the room with, certainly do not justify the pricing charged. Moreover, this inexplicable trend of window dividers for the bathroom and the sink placed in the room and outside the bathroom MUST STOP. Thankfully I was on my own, but don’t know who would enjoy sharing their most private moment at the loo with their partner.

This is a total value for money in my opinion. Situated in one of the nicest area in Hamburg and offering a great 180 degree view of the canal/river and the city, is simply amazing. Very close to the train/metro, cafes & restaurants, shopping areas, and tourist attractions. Very hospitable stuffs and great service. The room was large, bright, equipped with all necessary amenities and the bonus is the view of course. Highly recommended.

Perhaps a mini refrigerator in the room would have been great. This is something I always enjoy in hotel rooms. Otherwise everything else was simply superb.

We were disappointed with the size of the room. It was smaller than expected. Everything else was really very acceptable. The quietness of the hotel, its situation, cleanliness and friendliness of the Staff was perfect. The Hotel itself was very busy but this did not translate into any excessive noise at night for which we were very grateful, having some bad experiences in other hotels. It is extremely well served for UBhan stations and good, reasonably priced restaurants.

The size of the room and the plain glass shower which was open to the room ...very strange!
