Very good location with easy access direct from the airport. The senior breakfast waiter was very friendly and helpful. Spacious and comfortable room (excluding the bed). Good breakfast with several possibilities of improvement.

Uncomfortable twin beds (although a double bed was requested) with two short single blankets. Breakfast with shortage of fresh fruits and a few dirty plates.

Hotel lobby was modern and new. Some rooms were renovated and some were not. Though we got an old room it was big and comfortable. Location was convenient, U bahn was beside the hotel, many cafe and bakery nearby. Breakfast was also very good, we like it. Everything went smoothly until check out. The lady at reception insisted that we have not paid our stay even though we showed her payment confirmation on booking.com and credit card statement. At our insistence, she finally checked their system and realised we have paid through booking.com. She should have done that right at the beginning! It was very distressing as we almost missed our train because of that. After everything, she still asked us to pay a city tax which was not communicated to us prior. It was an unexpected payment as the man told us that all payments were cleared when we checked in. The amount we paid on booking.com was also clearly indicated that it’s inclusive of all taxes. As we were rushing for the train, we did not have time to argue with her and just paid the taxes. However, it was an extremely unpleasant experience which left a sour taste in our mouth.

Good location, close to the city center and public transport. Easy to go to the central railway and airport (only a few train stops away). Old building but very well maintained, clean and confortable. The staff is great, especially the gentleman serving the breakfast (i am sorry i didn't ask his name) who has been working in the hotel for more than 40 years and the ladies from the cleaning, who greeted us with candies and nice words. Congratulations for choosing such good people to work in the hotel. Also, good breakfast with plenty of choices and a very good german salad. good heating system, it could be turned on and off when desired. Free bottles of water in the room :). Overall i recommend booking a room in this hotel.

The room we stayed in was far away from the elevator, had to pass through some long hallways that looked almost like a maze, but i didn't find that actually disturbing, it was rather interesting to be in such a big old hotel. During the night there was a constant sound coming from the walls or from outside, like water drops falling (although it was not raining) and it went on until the morning.

I was attended a multi-day conference at the CCH, which was a short walk from the Aster-Hof and a fraction of the price of the international brand hotel adjacent to the CCH. Breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL, and included in the room price as was free wifi. The staff was also very nice and helpful, as well. My room was a single, which suited my needs, and included a bathroom with shower, desktop, armchair, built in two-tier luggage stand, closet with hangers, a mini-bar refrigerator, and a room safe. Nothing more or less than I needed. PERFECT.

I have no complaints whatsoever.

Very well maintained building (renovated from offices, it seems). Very clean and cozy rooms with minibar, a welcome bottle of sparkling water, and renovated bathroom. The breakfast is very delicious as it has a big variety of foods (cereal, ham, cheeses, coffee, tea, plus some special german salads and desserts). The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is near the train station (just about 6 minute walk) which connects easily with the airport (20 min ride). On the other side, it connects to a trendy restaurants/shopping area near the river.

Everything was great overall, perhaps the heating was a bit too high in the rooms so I had to open the window a couple of times; but as I travelled by the end of November (winter) probably it's a central system setup... but I'd rather a bit of more heat than being cold at night!

Stunning, large room. Newly decorated and very modern. Comfy beds, it had a bath! Love finding actual baths in hotels. Location wise, pretty central, right by a gorgeous park and gardens. Breakfast included and self serve. Lots of lush bread options, cooked stuff, cereals and things we could have (vegan cheese spreads, butter and fresh tomatoes and cucumber).

Room was boiling so had to have windows wide open and was very noisy all night. Room.fans would be useful. Wasn't that fussed as still slept fine.

I was initially put in a great double room with a large bathroom with a double sink and a window, the room is separated from the entrance hall by a door, a sitting area with two armchairs, a desk, a minibar, a great wardrobe with a door, a large terrace. After that I was in a very nice and comfortable single room. The rooms have everything you need. A varied breakfast is included in the price. The staff is very kind and responsive. The hotel is in a wonderful location, very close to everything! I have booked again at the same hotel for my next visit.

I had a problem with the internet. When I tried to connect, I got a message that the internet is not available. But then a staff person told me to connect despite this message and I got internet on my phone. With my laptop the internet was slow and I was getting it after several attempts to connect. The balcony of the single room was very small.

The location is very convenient: bordering the central area, a couple of subway stations from the Central Station (or a 15 / 20 minutes walk), a subway station right on the corner and a S-bahn station just crossing the Plant u Blumen Park. Restaurants and bars right around. Staff could not be more gentle. Nice breakfast.

My room had no ar conditioner. So I faced a pair of warm nights that made it uncomfortable to sleep.

The hotel is situated cca 12 mins by walk from the central railway station and cca 100 meters from U-bahn with a direct connection to the railway station. The main attractions are also close to the hotel and accessible by walking. The check-in and check-out were quick and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, the small fridge was included.

The hotel should be more sustainable, e.g. filtered water stations instead the bottle of water in the room, a one-switch system for lights in the room, and sensor lights in corridors. install put soap and shampoo dispensers instead of miniature amenities.

Very good location with a friendly staff caring about the guests. I had ordered two separate beds and received a double bed instead. When asking about this issue the employee apologized and gave a separate single room for my daughter at same cost. I was never expecting something like this. The conversation from my side was also constructive with no discussions. The breakfast included is very good considering the price level. The room is a bit old, but the bathrooms renovated. All in all this is an excellent option in Hamburg when you consider location, staff and value for money. We will be back!
