Due to the 24h reception desk we could easily check in at 3am in de morning after a 2 hour delay of our train. The reception looks very inviting to hang out, we just didn’t have the time to use it. The room was nice, looked exactly like the pictures and as a couple we enjoyed the separate cubicle shower stall+sink from the toilet+sink, otherwise there would not have been enough room to get ready at the same time. Breakfast was nice, they have two pancake machines and a few other extras that makes the breakfast better than in regular hostels.

Just some minor inconveniences were the two separate mattresses that are not fixed on the bed, so at one point my mattress slipped a little off the bed. As soon as I noticed, I was more careful and it wasn’t a problem anymore. Also, we were lucky that other guests were mostly quiet, as you do hear medium loud voices on the floor in your room.

Location is perfect and easy to reach everywhere. Bed is Ok and the room was good enough except there was no wardrobe in the room. We stayed four nights and this was not easy for us.

On 16 of April in 4.30 am in the morning our room door was knocked and even kicked by someone. This took almost 20 minutes and he shouted, to us. We were very affraid but there was no chance to contact to reception for security. Then a next room door was opened and they took him in.I think there must be a way to contact to reception in such a case also for such a big building a camera system is a must

There were very little reasonably priced accomodations in Cologne when i visited. This listing for my dorm bed just appeared and i took it. I felt blessed to get the last bed at such a great price ( the next available bed there was double the price ) , so was expecting worn surroundings. When I arrived I was surprised at how clean, modern, and stylish the facilites were; great lighting, workspace, bar and lounging atmosphere around the lobby. Fast internet too and easy log in. I was early and the front desk let me keep my luggage in a safe room. The keyless card entry is soo convenient too. My dorm bed was partially sheltered and private, comfy pillows, linens, and comforter. The shower was hot and good pressure. Their was great storage bins under my bed. They are lockable if you bring your own or rent one from the desk. but the other dormers were totally safe people. This place is also a large and busy hotel, there was a lot of lively hanging out in the lobby bar area.

I like that the staff very accommodating. The rooms are well serviced and trash taken out. The location of the hostel is very near restaurant and walkable to sights and museums.

I did not like that a new guest was assigned a bed in my room but the bed was not ready for him to use. I accompanied him to the Reception to confirm the condition of the bed he was assigned and was offered the beddings for him to bring to his room. I advised the Receptionist that they should be the one prepare the bed for him.

It was clean, and my dormitory was located on the upper floor. There are 2 elevators that can take you up to your room. I have very lovely guests in my room, and most of them chose to visit Cologne for business reasons or a Live concert/Festival. The toilet was separated from the shower. We had a private bathroom (toilet/shower) in our room. Well-equipped and close to coffee shops and stores. Last but not least, it was quiet at night .

It was very busy in the reception and with only 1 person working and dealing with all the guests, I suppose it becomes horribly difficult for your assistant to take over all the check-ins and check-outs between 14:00 -15:00 o'clock. You should probably consider hiring more receptionists and helping your staff to have better days and your guests faster service. I was totally surprised that linen was charged extra. It was the first time that a hostel asked me to pay for this kind of amenity. It was a bit far away from the train station and the old town, for those who are looking sth very close to these places, nevertheless for me, it was a walkable distance (close to stores and shops). Moreover, I liked the fact that it was in a quiet neighbourhood.

The staff was really great at checkout. When we arrived, they helped explain to us where parking was (private parking was a huge bonus) and changed us to a better room. The room was compact but nice. The location was really great. Even though it's further out from the center and the main Cathedral, the neighborhood had lots of cute cafes and shops within a short walking distance.

Our room was like a sauna because someone had turned the heat to the max. The first night we tried to adjust it on our own and then went out and didn't notice a difference. The next day, we told someone at reception and they came up and fixed it right away.

The location is great, close to the center, many restaurants, and several transit lines. The room was quite spacious for the price and everything was clean. Temperature and water pressure in the shower were great and the free wifi was very fast.

The pillows were unfortunately very lumpy and between that and the synthetic blankets (which I am personally not used to) I could not get a good nights sleep, this is a shame because last time I visited the quality of sleep was fantastic. The room is also liable to getting a bit too warm and stuffy. This was the case when we visited in summer as well as in winter.

The team knows how to test our character and they understand properly the actual situation. They are sweet, kind and affectionate facing also strange situation when people are drinking alcohol during whole night and also in the morning. The place has a huge area to study, read, make friends, very comfortable and clean, well organized. The rooms have a good space and they are clean as well. The breakfast is extremely good. The location is perfect, 5 min from Neumarket.

I like everything, perhaps the misunderstanding I do not like, but the team is so amazing that we confess our mistakes and learn, change and adapt.

Decent sized room - beds ok - seperate shower and toilet very useful. Plenty of space for 4 people. Towels and bedding decent.

Shower more powerful (maybe thats just a personal preference) Couldnt split the bill between the 15 people or even by room - had to pay it all on one card - didnt state that before booking as far as We could see.

Loved the room, really comfortable bed,with electricity outlet and place to put stuff, lockers under the bed, mirror in the room and clean. Really can't complain. Quick Checkin and Check out and eventhough it seemed to be a bit a Party Hostel or at least busy, the room wasn't too noisy.

Can't think of anything - was just like you'd expect a Hostel to be :)
