A huge kitchen to gather the group in an enough room for 6, our group of 5 enjoyed the stay thoroughly. It's located with some of the most beautiful surroundings in the Berchtesgaden area with easy enough access to public transit (for which the hotel gives you passes to use) and a scenic 15 minute walk to the Königssee. Everything was clean and we had enough of what we needed to cook and even enjoyed a meal outside on the property. They also let us store our luggage before check in and after check out which was extremely helpful.

Communication with staff in person was a little difficult (minimal German and English) but everything worked out just fine. Sofa couch wasn't very comfy but what can you expect from a sofa bed.

The apartment is located at a perfect location, you have a great view on both sides. It's immaculate, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The owner is quick in answering calls or messages and ready to accommodate the needs. Since we have stayed in 4 apartments on the same premises, Apartment 11 on the 1st floor is the best. We would like to book it for our next visit. Despite the great views, the Deluxe apartment is more suitable for a large family or young people (it feels more like a dormitory). The apartment next to the Deluxe apartment is also very nice and has separate rooms.

We booked a Deluxe apartment for 6 people and a twin room for 1, unfortunately, the pictures of the Delux apartment were not clear to understand that the bed and the sofa bed are close to each other and in the same open space. Another sofa bed is at the entrance and in the kitchen area, so gets suffocated during the warm days. Since we were 2 families, we had to request another apartment for privacy. Along with the Deluxe apartment, we got another apartment (of course we had to pay more), unfortunately, due to the booking situation, we had to change 2 apartments during our 4-day stay. However, the staff and owner were helpful and got the apartment cleaned and ready for us. Also, a toaster would be really great to have in the apartment.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this property. The bathroom was so modern and clean, we loved the huge shower, the kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed, and everyone was very comfortable and slept well. We didn’t realize that one of the sofa beds was actually a second bedroom! That was a nice bonus space that we didn’t realize we were getting. We were so amazed that we could see the Eagles Nest from our window! Needless to say, the views were stunning, and the location was fantastic! This property absolutely deserves the highest rating possible!

We booked a deluxe apartment and it was as beautiful as shown in the pictures. The bedroom/tv room is a good size. The sofa bed was very comfortable too. The cupboards on the side of the bed were sufficient for us, however if there is a family planning on staying longer than 2 days , you might find the space not enough. The washroom and kitchen were nicely furnished.

Not all the pots had their lids. The top shelf of the dishwasher wobbles. One would need table mats. There were no bowls to go with the plates. It would be nice if they provided salt , sugar and cooking oil in the kitchen.. just the basics. The place is not soundproof , you can often hear flush going down in someone else's room.

We stayed at Aparthotel Hochfeld for one night in Schönau am Königssee, and it was a delightful experience. The location is stunning, surrounded by the beautiful Bavarian Alps, which made for a peaceful and scenic retreat. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering everything we needed for a short stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making sure we had a pleasant experience. I only wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area more. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Schönau am Königssee!

The kitchen was too big - soo soo many drawers/cabinets (most of them empty), we were always looking for some equipment Bathroom only accessible from the main bedroom, so my friends had to go through our bedroom to the toilet (lock relatively loud so it woke us every time)

Great location, not far from the lake, quite place. A beautiful garden in the backyard that you can use to relax. The view was great and staying on the balcony was a pleasure. We will consider it again for the future, maybe a different room (bigger and in the corner of the building)

A bit outdated and with thin walls (at least in the bathroom, you could hear others on the floor above you) and the toilet sink was loud. The family apartment we had was a bit small for 7 days but would work well for 2-3 days stays. People smoking on their balcony close to our room was very annoying, you could not enjoy the fresh air or keep the window open. The pillows are good/ergonomic, though we asked over chat for smaller ones for the kids we did not get a reply in time, and there is more or less no one at the hotel to talk to about it (maybe an unintentional miss from the host).

Hochfeld is in perfect walking distance to Königsee, no need for using the car. The studio / apartment was ok, but it could need a makeover. It looked like something from the 60´es. the equipment in the kitchen area is extremely sparse, only two things of each kind. The beds were good and there was very clean.

As said above, there is too little kitchen equipment. The towels in the bathroom thin and worn. The only staff we met was a nice woman who could not speak either German or English.

we absolutely love the balcony overlooking the alps! The parking was easy, right in front. It was nice to have a hot water pot in the room to make our own tea in the evening. The staff was excellent, there were only two pillows in our room upon arrival, and I sent a message via Booking.com that I would like two more. It was amazing that unless in five minutes there was a knock on the door and a nice young woman handed over to fluffy pillows. that really made our sleeps. Very wonderful. The hotel super quiet and very clean would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful property! In a Perfect Location to walk to Königsee, around town, and lots of trails right out your door. We had a beautiful view from the family room and access to the yard with chairs. The host was very friendly, responded quickly to messages, and checking in/out was very simple. The kitchen with oven, microwave, full fridge and freezer as well as plates and pots/pans made up for not having a breakfast provided. We were able to prepare lots of meals and would eat outside or at the lovely dining table. We loved our stay!

The only negatives I would say is that the bed was really hard and there wasn’t a shower curtain or door on the shower so the whole bathroom would be wet/slippery after a shower which was a little hard with children. Also, the walls in the family room were not so sound proof so we heard a party going on one night and lots of chairs moving/people talking other nights. I messaged the host about the party and that it was very late in the night for loud music and it stopped abruptly so I’m not sure if the host was the one having the party or they just contacted the people they suspected were being loud?
