We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our room. The room was a great size and the decor was funky but comfortable, clean and functional. The King bed was made up of two twins put together but this is pretty common for Europe so we expected it. The bar/restaurant on site was great, good vibes. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Our room was above the restaurant so we often had cigarette smoke wafting up to our room if we left the door open for a breeze. The hotel was a little bit further of a walk to the main part of town that had shopping and restaurants.....about a 10-15 walk.

Room facilities were very good; wonderful views from the room; all the staff from the lovely lady owner/maitre d'hotel to the lady who cleaned our room, were attentive and helpful despite language differences; and the room and the whole hotel very clean and attractively presented. The food was good and the bircher muesli at breakfast is the best anywhere!

We have been to the hotel before and as well as the reasons given at 3 above, we particularly liked the friendly relaxed atmosphere of the bar which we liked to use at the end of the day and sometimes eat there in a more informal setting. It was one of the key reasons for picking this hotel again but we were very disappointed to find out on arrival that it had been closed for 2 months for repair work.

Wonderful location and incredibly beautiful terrace with views of the Watzmann. Wonderful breakfast and a surprisingly fantastic restaurant. We ended up having dinner on the terrace 4 of our 6 nights here. The staff are wonderful and rooms are comfortable and clean. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

Beware there is a fee for parking in the garage and the street parking fills up. We were not informed of the fee for the garage at check in.

The breakfast was very good and the food in the restaurant was varied and good, The view from the balcony at the front if the hotel was fantastic. Free parking at the front of the hotel was a bonus. There was so much to see and do in the area that we easily filled 6 days. The salt museum, toboggan run and trip to Lake Konigsee were excellent family activities

Great staff at the reception -very kind and helpful. The breakfast was really good in terms of quality and taste. Just few kilometers from the main attractions like Koenigsee, Salt mine etc but you can already get a glimpse of mount Watzmann from the hotel restaurant’s window itself (or the rooms depending on the side you are offered)

The room had some kind of ‘not so pleasant’ smell. The beds were not comfortable or atleast I find it a bit stiffer than what I am used to. There was no hot water kettle or tea bag’s in the room. Not sure if that is a rule because last year I stayed in a different hotel in the same location and they didn’t have it either!

slightly outdated hotel equipment, however everything was clean. we had a mountain view room, if we hadn't we would probably have been slightly disappointed with the other views from other sides of the hotel

We found this to be an excellent hotel...integral car park, friendly and efficient staff, spacious and comfortable room, plentiful and delicious food - we had dinner and breakfast both were excellent. The location is very well planned - book a table for dinner on the terrace - there is a beautiful outlook... Enjoy the walk into the town centre

Excellent stay in hotel. As British people moving through, it was a traditional authentic German hotel and they were super accommodating of our lack of German. The evening reception staff were lovely and couldn't do anymore for us and spoke exceptional English. We got a free upgrade to a balcony room as it was our honeymoon with a mountain view which was stunning. It has a great spa set up, which was practically empty. Breakfast was good. Parking was incredibly easy in their underground car park.

Very friendly staff, underground parking (we were on motorbikes), available last-minute and had a room with a balcony and great view of the mountains. Fantastic location for seeing Berchtesgaden. If you're going up to the Kehlsteinhaus and don't have your own transport, the bus station is a 10 minute walk down the hill.

Breakfast wasn't spectacular. For vegans, it's basically only coffee and bread rolls with jam. Just adding some non-dairy milk for cereal would be a big improvement.

Beautiful location, breakfast was great with a good selection, room was comfortable and clean. The young guy was very helpful when checking in. There was parking available by the road outside.

The woman on checkout wasn’t so helpful, seemed annoyed to help. Also the spa was only open certain hours to was unavailable for our stay.
