I booked a junior suite with Acropolis view. This was the third time I stayed at the hotel and was more than pleased with my stay. Everything was perfect, from the supervision and assistance of the staff members, to the room itself and hotel amenities.

Nothing, everything was great. I only wish I could stay for a longer while.

Our family Rooms were interconnected via a self-contained lounge space which could be closed off. This allowed both room doors to be kept open when occupied. Rooms were really spacious & had all the facilities you would expect (kettle, fridge). Decor is modern & Beds were really comfortable. Slept really well. Bathroom/wet room was beautiful. The Shower enclosure was big enough to fit several persons, with excellent water pressure. Amazing! Can’t fault the cleanliness of our rooms or the hotel in general. Towels were changed every day & room tidied. Staff are lovely & attentive. Breakfast choices is varied & plentiful.

Very comfortable and good sized rooms. Very friendly staff at the breakfast times and also from the front desk. A colleague Christos in fact was kind enough to get our luggage into the taxi. The colleagues at the breakfast were kind enough to fill water bottle when we requested for the day trips and also give during breakfast Greek coffee from the bar. We also loved the area around the lobby and the breakfast area which was so luxurious and nice and well furnished .

The size of lift. The breakfast was fabulous but the variety was the same everyday.

We were given the opportunity to upgrade to a sister hotel, the 5* Athenaeum Hotel, which we accepted. The Hotel location is nearer to the Historic sites and very convenient for visiting the historic monuments. The hotel met our expectations is every respect. The restaurant on the top floor has excellent views of the Acropolis and the Parthenon. The hotel staff are very professional, courteous and helpful. Thank you Athenaeum Grand for the upgrade. The buffet breakfast was amazing, with views to match.

A very friendly, professional greeting from staff and a helpful doorman made me feel welcome as a solo female traveller. All the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and professional. Restaurant food and drink menu varied, food excellent, breakfast perfect. Also I love having a tea kettle, coffee and tea in my room. This simple, bright hotel has everything and is great value.

There's a strong smell of cleaning products in the room but I think leaving a window slightly open could help that. The location is not great on a busy road between night clubs but that is not important once inside the hotel. It's also only a mile or so away from the Acropolis so I was able to walk to where I wanted to go.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Athenium Grand Hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcomed they even retrieved my hat blown away by strong gust of wind.. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The attention to detail was evident, from the plush bedding to the luxurious toiletries provided. The breakfast buffet was a feast for the senses, offering a wide variety of delicious options to suit all tastes. What truly set the Athenium Grand Hotel apart was the impeccable service. Every staff member I encountered was friendly (apart from the Grumpy older male receptionists), professional, and genuinely eager to assist with any request. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend the Athenium Grand Hotel to anyone looking memorable stay in Athens. I can't wait to return on my next visit to the city!

Because I had to move to another hotel under the same chain since this one was overbooked, they offered me a free room upgrade, free breakfast, free drinks and free parking to make up for this, and the hotel I moved to was five stars instead of four here. It had a good view (from afar) of the Acropolis.

The initial confusion of having to move to another hotel. The location was a bit far from all the sights, but it was good value for money and had parking. The restaurant wasn't spectacular, but that's more a matter of personal preference.

The staff were all very cheerful and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay a positive experience.

The air-conditioning had been switched off for the winter period and our room temperature was 25 degrees. Impossible to sleep. We couldn't keep the window open as our room faced a busy main road. We told reception and they moved us to a cooler room at the back of the hotel, where we were able to keep the window open. Staff were very concerned and kept checking that all was OK.

This review is actually for the Anthenaeum Luxury Hotel as I was moved there. I was changed hotels to a sister hotel after a communication issue. They resolved this matter perfectly and put me in there sister hotel which turned out to be even nice and in a great location. The hotel was brand new and everything was done exceptionally well, all the staff were amazingly friendly and the breakfast was great. Would highly recommend to any friends and family who are going to Athens.

The rooftop restaurant staff were really great and nice facilities. Food just felt a bit over priced for what it was.

• Whilst the rooms were soundproofed, the doors weren’t and they let in/out even the tiniest sounds. This means that you can hear everything from the rooms you are passing, even conversation. This also meant that we were woken a few times between 3am and 5am by guests coming in from nights out as it was a Friday. It wasn’t a huge deal but definitely would disrupt light sleepers.
