Great location, right near a well connected metro station, so travelling around Athens do enjoy all its sites and culture was that much easier for us. Some people have commented on the area in a negative way however it is an up and coming place and the hotel itself is incredibly safe. It was on par with any top range western hotel. Plenty of lovely local restaurants to eat at, all excellent quality. Rooftop bar had a lovely atmosphere in the evenings, with an exquisite view of the acropolis as the sunsets and after dark.

Staff: We checked in early and the gentleman or manager allowed us up to the room and included free breakfast as it was our first time in Greece. The staff were generally polite. The men were more polite. The women seemed less polite. Room: Loved the room. We stayed in a junior suite. Coffee pods should have been free and teas should have been replenished daily and also free. Would have been good to include cold water daily. The fridge could have been colder. Breakfast: Great breakfast choices. Staff were friendly mon to wed, from thur to friday, the staff seemed grumpy, tables were not cleaned fast enough, the woman in charge in the breakfast area was not so friendly. Seemed not so friendly with ethnic people. Thank you Wyndham Grand for letting us check out 1 hour later as we had a late night flight.

Not enough water in the room. Fridge should have been colder and water or ice available in the rooms, rather than in the foyer. The elevators are too small. 8 persons is too much. Maximum of 4 persons should be for the elevators.

The receptionist was very helpful in trying to find a rooftop for a friend's birthday. She went beyond her duties and called a few places to help with bookings.

The location The staff in the breakfast were a bit not worried about with people trying to find a table to seat. I overheard someone asking for a table and the staff said "anywhere you can find". I'd've expected to hear something along the lines "Sorry we are full but I'll make sure to accommodate you as soon as a table is freed up" or anything that would make that person feel taken care by.

Our Room was ready early!!!! Location is close to a metro station and the line goes straight to the acropolis stop and close to Place (old city). Across from the hotel are two nice small restaurants as well as a bakery. We ate at Mironi Greek Restaurant and the food was very good.

We were not happy that only 2 coffee pods were included in our stay in our room. Each additional coffee pod cost 1.50 Euros. After we used the free two, no additional pods were provided. We needed them on our early departure! The very early breakfast on departure day (served up to 7am): Coffee machine was broken, no hot water or black tea, Food: no protein, mainly bread and sweets.

Decent quality rooms with comfortable beds. Well located close to metro. 15-20 mins walk to centre. Nice roof-top bar with Acropolis view, and swimming pool on top floor. Helpful staff accommodating request for early check-in

Bathrooms in need of modernisation. Breakfast food was sub-par, and subject to overcrowding due to a lot of guests being on a ‘cruise-ship schedule’, the lift system didn’t work very efficiently and the lift touchpad noise was audible in our room from early in the morning

Our stay at The Wyndham Athens was perfect for our family.The staff went above and beyond with their warm and attentive service, making us feel genuinely welcomed. The room was very nice, the view at the roof restaurant was extra ordinary, the breakfast was very good, but unfortunately the capuchino machine has sometimes issues and was not working on one morning

There was one service complain when we were sitting outside at the roof restaurant. After half hour nobody from the service team came by and asked to offer drinks. Then I was looking for someone and he was very arrogant and not service friendly as well, finally he came out and we could order our drinks.

The staff was really helpful, especially the girls from the reception. They gave me an upgrade as it was available and also helped arrange a late-checkout free of charge as per availability even if the hotel seemed fully booked. The room was also really good and confortable. Massage at the SPA was great! Close to the metro and main attractions / restaurants. I really liked the setup for making your own Greek Coffee at breakfast, that was a nice touch. The price I paid was good considering other somewhat similar accommodation options.

Breakfast options can be improved a bit considering it should be a 5 stars. Some options were good, but most of them were a bit too average. Location is good considering the proximity to metro station and main attractions / restaurants but most of the neighbourhood and nearby streets are a catastrophe. Not something that the hotel can do much about, it's just a fact for a big part of the central Athens it unfortunately seems. Overall a really good stay for me though.

The staff were very friendly and polite. The young men who carried our luggage and stood at the door of the hotel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Such a wide variety of tasty food.

When requesting tea or coffee, we were only given 2 of each item. Coming from the UK we drink a lot of tea. We had to keep requesting more.
