The view was out of this world! Looked out to the Caldera and the beautiful sunset. Our room was 202 and it was up maybe 10 steps. It had its own private veranda and 2 opening doors onto it. It looked down over the pool and out to sea. The room was a good size and bed comfortable. There was a small table and chairs inside as well as outside on the veranda and also a couch. It was all very clean. Breakfast arrived each morning at our specified time on a tray with items we had selected on checkin.it was delicious. Location wise it is a 25 to 30 minute walk on the flat to Fira. We found it easier to walk as the bus was unreliable. We did manage to catch the bus back. There is a Lidl supermarket 7mins walk away and next door to Lidl was Neon- a Greek restaurant which had nice food. As we were there in October another restaurant had closed for the season. There didn’t seem to be many restaurants in the area.in saying that I’m pleased we stayed there as Fira and Oia were crazy busy with cruise ships. It was a lot more relaxing here.

We loved everything

- Stunning view - Swimming pool and direct access to it from the room (at least room 204) - Breakfast included and served on your terrace each morning. Good variety albeit basic and warm food such as omelettes or bacon may arrive a bit cold. - Wifi. - Spacious room, including bathroom - Friendly staff - Transfers to/from airport and port can be arranged Tip: use the public bus if arriving via the port. It costs 2 euros as opposed to the 30-35 euro fee charged by the hotel and it takes 15 minutes + a 5-6 minute walk (get off at the Grigoris bakery). You can save a lot of money by taking buses to/from the port, airport, Oia, etc. If you are considering renting a car to move around the island, it may not be worth it either for the same reasons. Of course each person's budget is different :)

- Bear in mind that the hotel is not exactly in the center or Fira. You can either walk 30-35 minutes or take the local bus which stops right outside the hotel. Its frequency is every 30 minutes and the last bus from the center of Fira departs at 22:00. Location is by no means bad but you need to plan a little bit ahead - Expensive cost of taxis/private transfers. To be honest this is not specific to this hotel but rather a general thing in Santorini. Expect to pay 30-35 euros per trip, even if it takes only 10 minutes. In our experience buses are reliable and really cheap (1.60-2.00 euros on average) - Lack of a vending machine or minibar to purchase snacks or drinks. That said, there is a small minimarket across the road, a Lidl 5-6 minutes on foot and a bakery also 5-6 minutes away

Incredibly beautiful views from the pool - a real wow moment on arrival! Peaceful & quiet location. Bakery nearby with variety of foods & Lidl supermarket within walking distance. Rooms very clean offering excellent views. Room service with breakfast was a lovely touch. Staff were very welcoming & informative. A restaurant within walking distance. A wonderful resort situated just outside of Fira, escaping the crowded streets & noise. Perfect!

Hotel doesn't have a restaurant on site but as above, plenty nearby for food & drinks to enjoy on your balcony with that view!

Location is top, hotel staff is super friendly and helpful (Manolis can find you a great restaurant reservation with a sunset view!) Good-sized room with a lovely balcony. 5-star view, peace and quiet. Breakfast on the balcony was great.

Fira is not very pedestrian friendly, the main road is very noisy. No zebra lines, small sidewalks, if any. However, the town center is fine. Walk to the town center is around 20 minutes, it's safe even at night but you'll need to light up the path with your phone.

We stayed at Villa Thiranthemis for 7 nights in June 2024. Like most people, we spent countless hours researching Santorini before we booked, trying to ensure our stay was as good as it could possibly be. We are delighted to report that we made all of the right choices. Firstly Santorini was everything we hoped it would be, the people, the sights and the food, were all exceptional, a most memorable experience, an experience influenced in no small part by staying at Villa Thiranthemis. Its central location was absolutely perfect for easily discovering every corner of the island by scooter, which the hotel efficiently organised for us. The clifftop location also provided the most incredible views of the caldera, including the famous sunsets from the privacy of our own terrace. The overall experience was further enhanced by the quality of the hotel, it's facilities and its people, all of which were faultless. This fabulous place is a testament to the owner, who makes himself available 24 hours per day to ensure that your every need is catered for and that your stay in Santorini is everything you wish it to be. There are not many hotels worthy of 10 out of 10, but for us, Villa Thiranthemis was simply perfect!

Having to leave.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They helped us find everything we needed, gave us suggestions and set-up various bookings to make sure we got to do everything we wanted to. The rooms were incredible and very clean, with the best sunset view on the island. Breakfast was also great. I highly recommend this place!

About a 25 minute walk to the town, which can feel like a lot in the heat. I recommend renting an ATV! Still pretty close to restaurants and other places to eat though.

Our hosts; Margarita and her family were amazing!! Nothing was too much trouble. Small family run Boutique Hotel (about 10 rooms) right on the cliff top about 2.5Km from Thira main town. Breakfast was included and served every day on our own patio at our chosen time. Manolis (reception) helped us with recommendations on places to go as we had a rental car for 4 days, and also made a booking for our sunset cruise.. Room was a good size and exactly as described. All facilities worked well, some English TV channels too. The pool was great, and lovely for a cooling dip before sunset. Great views of the Santorini sunset from the pool patio and a beautiful breeze. Would highly recommend Villa Thiranthemis if you want a casual and friendly stay in a great location. Memorable !!

Nothing not to like.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Thiranthemis! The property is stunning, offering breathtaking views, especially during sunrise and sunset. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. The private terrace was a perfect touch for relaxation, providing an unforgettable experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or recommendations, which made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. The location was ideal—peaceful and serene, yet close enough to explore all the beauty Santorini has to offer. If you’re looking for a luxurious and tranquil escape in Santorini, Villa Thiranthemis is the perfect place to stay!

The service from the staff was some of the best I have received in my travels. We had issues with our luggage at the airport and they helped us organised transport, make phone calls in Greek and access anything we needed to make our stay more enjoyable while we waited for our luggage to arrive. They went above and beyond and made sure we had a fantastic time in Santorini even without our luggage. The rooms were well kept, the homemade breakfast every morning was fantastic and the view from the pool and from the room is incredible. I would 100 percent recommend staying at Villa Thiranthemis

The main host at reception was fantastic. He was very attentive and friendly, and helped us arrange a hire car for one day and a sailing trip around the island for another day. Breakfast was included daily.

I don't know if it was a misunderstanding for the way breakfast work on Santorini but on the first morning our eggs (just part of our order) for two came delivered all on the same plate. The next day we filled out two separate forms, thinking that was required for separate plates, yet they still came delivered on one plate. The lady who delivered the food didn't seem to care or didn't understand that we had two separate orders. ? Minimal issue when everything else was so great.
