Friendliness of the staff and location

Most facilities you would think are included are extras! Payable like water and the spa facilities. The booking.com does mention some facilities of the spa would be charged. But there were some differences in facilities like steam room, sauna. Oh and yeah no private car parking facilities!! Which is a bit of a let down for such costs. You have to park at the public unpaved surfaces which might be a particular problem for low ground clearance vehicles!!

The had the honeymoon suite and my god that place was magical! The views were breath taking -- pretty sure one of the best and most private viewing spots over caldera and Fira. The room was large, sparkling clean and newly refurbished to a very high standard. The staff really make Ira great -- very responsive to any requests and just great and relaxed people in general.

We had ants in our room that would go on the coffee table -- but I am sure they will sort this for the next travellers. :) If you are planning to venture out to town often keep in mind there is maybe 15-20min walk up down/up the hill -- should not be problem for any even moderately active people and we actually prefered this.

My partner and I had a great time staying in this boutique luxury hotel. We spent a little more on our room to get the volcano view and it did not disappoint, i would really recommed this. The staff were fantastic, really friendly and gave great recommendations. The hotel was in the ideal location for us as it was a short walk from a small town with coffee shops and restaurants. You could then carry on walking for 15 mins and reach the capital Fira which is as you would expect incredibly busy but a must to go to so it was great to then be able to retreat back to our quieter area. My boyfriend proposed to me on this holiday in our room and the staff prepared the room to make it extremely romantic and perfect for us, they really went above and beyond to make sure it was special!

* View from the balcony was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G * Breakfast was very good and diverse enough * Staff was amazing and helpful * The location itself close to both Fira and Imerovigli, while still being quiet * Pool was clean and we got towels for the sunbeds * You could easily find parking spots either at the hotel or nearby, free of charge

* The wifi was decent, but it was sometimes weak (that's something that seemed to be the usual case on the whole island) * Cleanliness was ok, but could've been better (in our specific case, there was a rug that seemed to not have been cleaned in a while) and there seemed to be no vacuum being used * The refrigerator in the room did not cool things until they were left inside for 24-48 hours * Stairs to get to the bed seemed unnecessary

The view from our room and/or access to the balcony is the star of our stay. There is plenty of space in the pool lounge for us to enjoy. The location of our room provided privacy and accessibility. Breakfast is top notch and the hours are perfect for our stay. The staff are extremely helpful and accomodating.

The pool could be warmed up a little bit and access to the bubbles could have been communicated better. The music could use a variety. The hotel could have volunteered more information about the city, sights, restaurant locations, travel tips, transportation etc. to help first time tourists navigate the area.

The staff are incredible, from Evi on reception to the breakfast and pool supervisor, porter staff and kitchen staff- so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast is everything you would expect for quality and attention to detail. Again nothing was too much trouble.

The cleaning lady seemed rushed and as though she didn’t have enough time to thoroughly clean the room. The rooms are beautiful but will get grubby if they aren’t maintained. The marble sinks show up stains from previous guests and coffee/tea grounds that must have been tipped down the sink by the previous guests were still in the corners of the sink. Such a shame as the quality of the rooms is lovely.

Exceptional location. Our room was comfortable. The views were breathtaking (day and night) The breakfast was quite good. We also enjoyed the pool deck lounging area during our down time.

We would have preferred to have more access to a bar or refreshments more throughout the day and evening. It seemed there needed to be more staff. Those who served us were very good, but seemed to be stretched. One day we briefly lost water pressure. It only lasted a little while, but was annoying. The bath room was fine, though the whole room became wet during a shower. You have to be careful to control the shower flow and direction and even then splashing was hard to control

We enjoyed our stay at the Ira hotel. The room was huge. There was a sitting area, bed area, an enormous shower area and separate sink and WC. Could have done cartwheels in the shower. The interior design was really lovely. The breakfast was quite good, served in a cave-style room. The pool was nice with an unobstructed view of the caldera. The hotel is in a quiet area about a 12 minute walk from the busy part of Fira. Be prepared for stairs. This is not a property for people with ambulatory disabilities, but then neither is most of the Cyclades.

Outstanding service by front house Evi, very kind and helpful. The hotel has an amazing view to Firostefani and is in a perfect location, for me and my wife the best view of all Santorini, close by to Fira and minutes away from Firostefani. Beautiful sunset view from the lounge area or swimming pool. Very recommended for couples.

Got the room number 1 beside the reception (less privacy as you can hear everything)

A small very nice boutique hotel. When you book an hotel in Santorini that is on the cliff, the view is always breathtaking. The staff were absolutely amazing! We had a room at the pool level and it felt like a private pool.

The water in the pool was really cold, it was impossible to swim. In the shower you needed to remember to wait couple of minutes with the tap open for warm water. The location is tricky If you don't have a car/ATV, getting to Fira will take 20+ minutes by foot. However, if you do have car/ATV, there are many parking places just in front of the hotel, which is really comfortable, and the ride to center Fira takes about 5 minutes.
