Everything was great, it's not the first time we stay at this hotel.

There was a misunderstanding with the language. The day we arrived the lady said we have the breakfast included, we said "okay, good to know". Next day we come down for breakfast, the guy says that we need to pay for it, then he goes to make a call, comes back and says "you don't pay". I say "okay, great". And when we leave the hotel, he says "you need to pay 45 euro for breakfast" - that's when I undestood that he meant "you didn't pay" when he said "you don't pay" :D So the guy's english grammar was worth 45 euro for us. We don't regret it though, the breakfast was great.

the staff ANNA KARINA ,MORGAN and the rest of the young individuals are dynamic caring individuals. breakfast was stunning ,my bed soft and comfortable and a few great places to eat around the corner perfect.

Nice staff, clean room, privacy, nice and quiet terrace.

The room was a biy smaller than expected and it was just a little bit too dark. (Not much natural light).

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. It's location is great, in a rather peaceful neighborhood and yet very close to the center (a few minutes of walk to the Chain Bridge). I was worried about parking but we found a spot right in front of the hotel and the staff helped us with paying via mobile app and recommended alternative places to find parking. Also there are great options for the public transport available so we didn't have to move the car. The rooms are very clean and very well equipped, looking modern and beautiful. We also got a nice part of the yard outside of the room. The staff was very kind and friendly and they helped us with any questions we had. We also received a gift on check-out, a very nice gesture from them. We opted for the breakfast option and I'm glad we did, it was great! When we return in Budapest, we know where to stay!

Excellent location if you want to visit all the most important attractions of Budapest on foot. Buda Castle is few minutes walk up the street, same with Chain Bridge and Danube river in general. Enjoyable breakfast, people at reception desk were helpful, room was tidy and cleaned on a daily basis. It's a very good place to stay for Budapest sightseeing tour.

- rooms with window looking at the Castle Hill can be a bit more annoying because of the tunnel under the Hill and loud sports cars / motorcycles driving through it during the night - I am not really satisfied with communication about the parking - we were told that there is "discounted" price in the garage parking but in fact it's even more expensive than if you would go and pay at the ticket machine for this parking (Hotel charges 25Eur per day, where at the machine it's around 20Eur per day). - Parking at the street is paid from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 to 22:00, 600 HUF/hour. Sunday is free of charge.

The staff hospitality was amazing. One of us fell sick on check out date. They were kind enough to let us use all facilities and our room till late evening for our flight without any extra cost. Irrespective of that, the overall experience was pleasant and very comfortable Location is very convenient if you prefer to be near tourist hotpots on Buda side,and has very good connectivity with frequent short bus rides to other places of interests in Pest too.

Clean room where I found everything needed for hygiene (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, slippers, etc). The reception, the hall, the elevator, all beautifully decorated during this holiday period. We stayed in a room with a view of the inner courtyard, where it was quiet. The gentlemen at the reception were very kind, friendly, who spoke excellent English. A plus of the accommodation was also the location very close to the tourist attractions (when you leave the hotel, you only have to cross a tunnel - Budai Castle Tunnel and reach the Chain Bridge). It does not have a parking lot, but you can park in a nearby garage. They made our reservation at the reception and we paid 25 euros per day (plus a deposit of 10 euros for the garage card, which is returned to you upon departure). Beautiful accommodation! ❤️

I absolutely loved my stay at the Váralja. The room was beautiful. I had a room on the -1 floor that opened onto the communal courtyard, which was stunning. The room was spotlessly clean, with lots of storage, including space under the bed where I could store my suitcase. The shower was one of the largest I've had the pleasure of enjoying in Europe. There was so much space, now yes I was a solo traveller, but my room could definitely fit two comfortably. They had a coffee room just off from the courtyard near my room, where guests are welcome to avail of free tea and coffee whenever they like, which was really useful as the weather turned cooler half way through my stay. Location wise, it was so close to the castle district, including Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion, and Matthias Church. The Rudas Baths were also a short walk away. Other landmarks and attractions were just a short walk through the tunnel and across the bridge. (Note: Google Maps kept trying to take me the long way back to the hotel every night, but I soon realised going through the tunnel was much quicker and saved me at least 15 minutes on my journey time).

Not a problem with the hotel, but one night as I was coming home Chain Bridge was closed. There was an event the next day and the police had closed of the bridge. Thankfully I was able to use another bridge to get back, but this was an extra 30 minutes or so on my journey home. Just to be aware that while I personally loved the location, it's not as central as some on the other side of the bridge. A lot of the time you will find yourself on the other side of Chain Bridge to see/do most things.

Very neat and clean, close to main attractions and well connected by public transport. Staff were very kind and helpful, I asked to come earlier because of a luggage problem and they let me check in much before the official hour. The bathroom welcome kit was perfect, all the necessary items included, a shower cap and courtesy slippers, too. The bed was comfortable, and the hotel was silent. They kindly offered to prepare take away breakfast on my last day. The open tea room on the ground floor is very cute and always accessible, a great plus!

All essentials were perfect. Maybe just some furniture items need to be changed or repaired. There was a small coffee table in my room that was kind of wobbly.

The location is very close to the Buda Palace, the Danube river and the center. You can park in the public parking lot with payment in front of the hotel (but be careful, you have to pay for parking from an application, every three hours, between 8 am - 8 pm), or the hotel can provide (for a fee) a parking space in a large underground private parking lot, which is a few hundred meters from the hotel. The breakfast was very varied and tasty.

The room was a bit cramped and there is no place outside (apart from a small balcony of the room), like the terrace, where you can sit quietly in the evening to drink a juice or a beer or smoke a cigarette. The only place where you can smoke is near the public parking lot next to the hotel, near the trash cans.
