Central location, 15 minutes walk to the Bus Terminus, a short walk to the harbour, local supermarket lis close by and a good range of shops and restaurants to choose from.
After having a flight cancelled and have to re arrange an earlier one I messaged the hotel to ask if it would be possible for an earlier check in as stated on the info page they ‘will do they’re best to accommodate early check ins where possible’ I received a reply to say they would let me know when the room has been cleaned and if it was possible for me to check in early. I received no reply, no confirmation of a possible early check in and at the check in time of 3pm I had still received no details of how to check in and access the room which is all key pad access, there is no one on site as it’s more an air BnB than a hotel, 50 minutes later with the help of the cleaner we managed to finally get into the room.

Location, near tour meeting points. Large room. Clean.
Check in using code. Code initially did not work. Texted the manager, she responded the next day. Found another door to get in but no lift to the 3rd floor. No welcome water or anything. Bare cupboards even tho there are cooking utensils. I only found salt and pepper and oil. I put in request for the free cleaning since we were staying 9 days. We put all our towels on floor for changing. We came back that afternoon, cleaning did not happen. TV did not work the entire time altho we reported and they said they would send someone.

The room was great and was relatively roomy. We made several breakfast meals for ourselves, and there are several different Markets within the area. I would advise those trying to get food from the Bonus store to go a little bit to the east to the 1011 store or one block south to Barónsstígur 4 101, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland
The only complaint I would have is that the warm water smelled like sulfur, but it is a volcanic island so that is to be expected. It seems as though the owners have filtered the cold water, but not the hot water. So you should expect the sulfur smell when you stay there. To be clear, the multitude of restaurants that we attended all had the same sulfur smell coming from their faucets when I would wash my hands. Again, it’s a volcanic island so sulfur should be expected.

- Fantastic safe location - just a couple of minutes walk to the sun voyager sculpture, near to supermarkets, cafes, shops, restaurants (check out Reykjavik chips!) and sights of interest and a handy location for pick up points for excursions and bus stop for the airport bus. A taxi from the hotel to KEF airport took 40 minutes and cost us 114euros (booked with a discount through Booking.com). - Easy contactless check in with instructional video. Passcode provided on day of check-in that is the same for the building front door and your room. The accommodation is at the back / above a busy restaurant so the front door is open when the restaurant is. No sound heard from the restaurant in our room and it wasn't open super late. - Warm room with loads of space for our family of 2 adults and 1 teen. - Handy kitchen with pans, fridge, dishes and utensils. Hob, Microwave and coffee machine (no kettle) with coffee pods provided. - Comfy bed and sofa bed with ample clean bedding. - Good sized wardrobe and numerous hooks by the front door for coats which was very useful for our damp clothing. There is a washer and drier in the building (with a very useful instructional video) but we didn't need to use this. - Good hot shower with strong water pressure - perhaps too powerful if anything!
- Overall the apartment wasn't dirty but some areas weren't super clean. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner (dirty floor, dirt on the tiles near the shower and soap scum on the shower screen) but it wasn't unsanitary. The floor in the room needed a sweep (I had to wipe my feet before getting into bed). - Strong sulphur smell when running hot water - this is apparently a Reykjavik thing so I was expecting it but from talking to people staying in other hotels in the area they didn't have this problem at their accommodation. - Towels were clean but a bit scrappy.

Good location, walking distance to the spots in the city, and sufficient cooking stuff for preparing breakfast etc. The restaurant downstairs also has good food, we tried fish and it’s delicious.
There is no check-in instruction before we arrive, so we need to make phone-call to the staff after we arrive and then they send the passcode of the room after I provide my email address. Not convenient if someone does not speak English.

I had stayed in the same place before, but it was called OK Hotel then. The rooms have undergone quite an upgrade and refurbishment. This is time mine was a spacious double room with an excellent kitchenette - a stovetop, a microwave, an espresso machine and a fridge. It was quite well equipped with cups, plates, glasses etc. I especially appreciated the espresso pods! There was also a small bottle of cooking oil - always appreciated in a self-catering place like this. The room was big and clean, with a big table and several chairs and a large-screen Android TV. My room was toward Laugavegur on the 3rd floor. Like before, the entrance is via a pub, a bit unexpected and possibly confusing if you don't know about this beforehand. Not very well marked, but there were signs on the window next to the pub door.

lovely apartment. Good size. super comfy and huge bed. Very warm room with a massive radiator where we dried our clothing after getting soaking wet in the snow.. good shower and plenty of hot water. kitchen has all we needed. good balcony and lovely and quiet - our room was facing the back of the building though - not the main road. Location is superb - right in town centre. good sevic e- we could not find a kettle - emailed the owners and got reply straight away! LALso very pleased with Netflix and we even had olive oil, salt sugar in the kitchen and shampoo, gel and conditioner in the bathroom. will def be back! Thank you!
The only thing I can think of was lighting - a bit dark in the room as bulbs are energy saving. but kitchen was well lit and the side lights are great. so - not really a problem.

The location is excellent--very centrally located. The rooms that face the street may be a little loud, especially on the weekends and especially if you need to open the windows. The central location is worth the possible noise. The room was very nicely decorated--very modern Scandinavian, and the bed, sofa, and table made for a very comfortable stay. Everything was great inside the room.
The key pad for my room was fussy, and I never got in on the first try. Twice I got locked out and had to wait a minute for the system to let me try to code again.

The room was very spacious and clean, wasn't too cluttered with decor. Appreciated the minimalistic design. It has everything you'd need for a short stay. It felt very secure and I was quite impressed with the insulation, both sound and heat. With the windows shut, you'd forget you were right on the strip. Perfectly situated, with tonnes of shops, restaurants, bars, galleries, etc. Found it easy getting to, from and around the city..
Everything was impeccable, except for one little issue, and I had a chat with the manager, who cleared this up for me eventually and patiently explained what the cause could have been. It was with the water running from the taps, especially the warm water. It had an odd smell and taste, but I don't believe this was an issue with the property itself, but a larger issue with the water treatment systems. Aside that minor issue, if I were to visit Iceland again, I would 1000% stay at this property again.

the room is very comfortable with a simple kitchen. smart tv for watching Netflix, etc.
the room was SO hot and no possibility to control the temperature. The floor in the bathroom was difficult to stand on as it was so warm. directions to the room involved walking through a restaurant which wasn’t a problem but was not clear in the directions.
