The location and amenities were superb, with souvenir shops, a supermarket, and beautiful seaside views right downstairs. The apartment was well-equipped with everything needed—just bring your own toothbrush and slippers! The room was spacious, and the team's response to any inquiries was incredibly quick. They were attentive, warm, and patient, making it easy to reach out with any questions. I highly recommend enjoying a glass of wine at the wine bar downstairs. Traveling alone to Iceland can be daunting, but the Vintage team made me feel safe and very much at home. Their exceptional service truly enhanced my stay. I am deeply grateful for their hospitality and strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We had an excellent stay at the Vintage apartments. I'm going to share some info that I wish I'd known before we went! The hotel has a perfect location in downtown Reykjavik. Everything is expensive here, but you will be on one of the main streets lined with restaurants. There is a great Italian directly opposite, but be prepared to pay - we had three pizzas, a garlic bread and three drinks which was over £165 (March 2023). There's also a bakery for croissants, bread and cakes. So if you are on a budget, make use of the kitchenette in your apartment. There are a few supermarkets nearby. You do not need to bring anything else - it has an oven with microwave, a hob, dishwasher, and fridge with ice box. There is a Nespresso coffee machine with coffee pods provided free of charge (decaf also available). They also provide dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, tea towel, olive oil, sugar, salt and pepper. So don't worry about bringing anything - just tea bags if you need them. All utensils are there, corkscrew etc - but there are no baking trays. So bring foil or something if you plan on cooking in the oven. The tap water is actually spring water so drinkable and soft and lovely! The bathroom has a hot rainfall shower that you won't want to leave! Again, everything is included - hand wash, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, lots of towels and toilet rolls. So bring your toothbrush, toothpaste and other toiletries, but no need to bring the others because it's included. They will service the room for you every day if you want, give new towels, but only before 11am. If you are booking excursions, ask to be picked up at Bus Stop 14, which is a five-minute walk round the corner. This is how they work - a small bus will pick you up at the bus stop, then take you to a central bus station where you join a bigger coach for the tour. On your last day, you can store your luggage free at the hotel, go down to floor -2.

The location and proximity to the water. We chose the room with a water view.We liked having a balcony and kitchenette available. We enjoyed having breakfast delivered and coffee available in the kitchen to start our day. The shower was really hot and had great water pressure. Our bed was incredibly comfortable. And the room was always very warm which helped on the very cold days. Overall we enjoyed the property very much.

As first time travelers to Iceland, we needed someone who could direct us and answer questions in real time- a front desk person or concierge. But I do think we received an almost immediate response when we sent a message. Also , in the room it would have been more practical to have a coat rack or hooks immediately as you walk into the right to leave dirty shoes and coats. And a small mat for shoes. We could find nothing to help with clean up.

The location is superb, the bed is luxury and the apartment type facilities in the room (oven, fridge, dishwasher) make life simpler than say rushing down for a hotel breakfast. Hints for people if you are staying more than 3 nights: whilst the basic room is excellent, we were there for a week and wish we had upgraded.

You receive a message prior to check out asking what time you will be checking out. Despite that, we were disturbed by the house keepers from about 50 minutes before that time. It kind of felt like you were being kicked out. Rooms 102-111 are street facing and can get loud. Room 111 is right above a shop and every time they close the door, the entire room rattles.

The location is most ideal. I don’t think we could have been better situated during our first visit to the city. Second, the kitchenette is a nice addition to help offset the cost of dining out every day. Finally, the bathroom is fantastic. Large, well heated, and the shower is to die for.

The refrigerator was not operating properly, causing our first delivery of groceries to spoil while we were away on a tour. Reception was swift to have the issue addressed, but the unit just never seemed to hold a suitable temperature. The freezer was fine though. This is a small detail, otherwise I enjoyed everything else about the property.

We booked a penthouse studio for a week. It was a very comfortable stay in a central location, walking distance from most attractions and restaurants/bars. You can even walk to and from BSI station where you take the bus for the airport. There is a Bonus supermarket just 4 minutes away. Very nice furnishing and window view. Easy check in/out. Despite the fact there is no reception they are very responsive to your requests when you reach out through message or phone call. Excellent WiFi. Overall I’d definitely stay there again.

Because it so central there is some noise, even on the 3rd floor, it’s like you have the windows open even though they’re closed. It was mostly during Friday and Saturday nights, though the rest of the week it was fine. There were food remnants in the oven when we arrived. I’m sure that if we addressed the issue they would have sorted it out but since we didn’t really use it we didn’t issue the matter.

Very convenient to everything since it’s right in the middle of city center. The room and building was very clean and quiet. The only noise you will hear is the city noise (which can be charming if that’s your thing). I think we experienced that bc we chose a room with city view, we enjoyed hearing ppl walking in the street enjoying Reykjavik. Free coffee in the lobby as well as the room. The kitchenette was a plus, allowed us to save some money by having groceries for breakfast and lunch. You will barely see staff there but they will make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. We messaged them about something in our room and they immediately got back to me and sent maintenance right away. Also, there’s an awesome wine bar downstairs to try and you get 20% off for being a hotel guest. This place is exceptional. This is our second time staying here. The first time was in 2017 when it was called 41ATownhouse-it was exceptional then too. Love the renovations and glad that the service is still outstanding.

Nothing.

Easy check in process, location was excellent with restaurants and shops right at your door step, loved all of the amenities with the kitchen set, and overall great apartment. I loved how I could walk everywhere and it's actually close to one Iceland's big grocery chain too (Bonus). Also the place is a 6 min walk from the nearest tourist bus stop, which was fine as the walk is flat and the sidewalks do not get icy (some sidewalks would completely freeze over winter making it difficult to walk). Overall, the place was perfect for my solo trip.

They dont do house keeping but this is something that you can request. You can retrieve basic necessities like toilet paper, towels, coffee pods etc from a cupboard on your floor. I happen to stumble across this as I was returning to my room, so it would have been nice if this was written somewhere (either in the pre check in info or somewhere in the room). Also because of its location, it can get a bit loud from the street noise (which wasn't an issue for me). So something to be prepared if you're a light sleeper. Breakfast could also be improved on in terms of its variety. Mainly just pastries and fruit juice.

Location was absolutely perfect, straight out of the apartments onto the main street in Reykjavík, right in the middle of everything. The apartments was so easy to get in and out of with the key code. It was clean, modern and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. Beds were extremely comfortable and shower was lovely. Kitchen area had everything we needed and we liked the way we could alter the radiators to warm up the property if needed.

Sadly we didn’t have breakfast delivered on the first day but was able to message the hotel very easily and they offered a refund. Then we had a message the next day to say the because of Christmas and the bakery being closed we wouldn’t have breakfast for the 25th or 26th but they would offer a refund for this too. This was a little frustrating as they must have known the bakery was closed over Christmas so they shouldn’t have offered breakfast if they couldn’t accommodate this. Refund came very quickly and it wasn’t really a problem because of location we could easily get something.

The Vintage Hotel Apartments was as close to perfect as any place I stayed in Iceland or for that matter anywhere else. The keyless access code to the lobby and into the room worked flawlessly. The small ground floor lobby had an attractive nook with a comfortable chair and a Nespresso coffee machine that was always well stocked with coffee pods. The room was modern, comfortable, and quiet. The kitchen area was amazing, better stock than any Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. It had a full sized oven that could double as a microwave, a dishwasher and a nice under counter refrigerator. It was very well stocked with utensils and dinnerware. There was. Nespresso machine in the room with a large supply of coffee pods. The location was perfect, you step out the door onto Laugevegur right in the picturesque old section of Reykjavik an easy walk from restaurants and shops(and just a block from a Bonus grocery store).

I was initially worried about parking but when we were there in early November it was easy to find a nearby spot for an hour to offload our luggage and then move to a cheaper P2 area a short walk away where the parking fees were reasonable(effortless to pay with the EasyPark app) So parking was NOT a problem as I had feared
