Beautiful property in a great location- 2 blocks from the main shopping street, 2 blocks from the sea front; 2 blocks from the Bus Stop 9 (for tourists); the airport buses and some tour buses stop right in front of the hotel. Lovely staff- I arrived at the hotel very early due to my flight but the girl at the front desk was more than accommodating and let me check in early and gave me a room on the 5th floor with an amazing view of the sea and the mountain. I greatly enjoyed the Icelandic midnight sunset from my window. What a wonderful stay at the hotel! Will return.

nothing.

Staff very helpful and accommodating especially Martin when we needed to change our travel plans because flights were changed. Gave good advice re Reykjavik tourism.

We check-out a day earlier than planned(paid full amount when we checked in at hotel). Asked to get credit for one nights stay but was referred to Booking.com. Booking was messaged but did not reply in the end we were left with no solution. The hotel offered to take this up with their management to try and help us. Compliment to them.

Very helpful staff, good sized room for 3 people with coffee and tea facilities, with a table and chairs so you could bring food in and dine properly. Close to downtown and waterfront, parking was available but at cost. Young lady at the front desk was very helpful with calling about a booking we had for the Sky lagoon ( highly recommend too) and also calling a taxi for us to get to our cruise, I’m sorry I didn’t get her name 🤔 We didn’t have the breakfast but walked up the street to a local bakery for their cinnamon rolls yummy 🤤

The cost of parking was a little steep but it’s through a private company, so no actual free hotel parking, but I guess that’s common in cities with limited parking spaces.

Staff was friendly and extremely helpful from the moment we arrived. No matter what the question or request, they were happy and eager to help us. Location was very convenient and located right by the bay which made for lovely walks. This location is a designated stop for tours and Flybus operations which makes it easy to walk right out of the door to your bus or van. The city bus station is around the corner as well. Breakfast was amazing with offerings to please everyone. There is a small grocery store right up the block behind the hotel and we were able to get to go sandwiches and snacks for our daytrips. The beds were a little on the firm side for my taste but my grown daughters were in bunks and said theirs were fine. The pillows were wonderful and the duvets were great! Overall it was a great experience.

The staff at the front desk was amazing and so helpful. The room for 4 of us was actually 2 rooms, so it was spacious and had enough space for our luggage. The bathroom was large also. The view from the room to the water was great to have.

Parking is expensive!! It was about $35 to park in their parking lot for a day. Right next to their lot is a P3 lot which is free on weekends. So I don't appreciate the price gouging. Also, the parking camera was supposed to close out the ticket once you leave - glad we noticed in the Easy Park app that it was still showing running....almost 8 days later! There is P2 parking across the street.

Breakfast was reasonable with a good selection of options...cooked, continental, cereals & pastries. All decent quality. Hotel and rooms clean & comfortable with TV & tea/coffee making facilities

Windows in room are very draughty which is a little uncomfortable considering the 0⁰ to -15⁰ temperatures. Housekeeping isn't automatic...it has to be booked by 10am in the morning for the next day. As a result, tea/coffee making facilities are not replenished every day.

Good location. Rooms are big. Great location with a convenience store just round the corner and a short walk to various places of interest Friendly staff.

Had to pay for pricey parking at the hotel to facilitate unloading of luggage. Reception staff did advise on cheaper parking options (just across the street from the hotel carpark). Ended up using a combination action of multistorey carparks during paid zone parking hours and street parking on weekends as the parking app didn't work for us.

We were upgraded to a better room free of charge. Breakfast was good. Rooms have heated floors and have all the basic amenities. There were parking in front of the hotel for a fee, but cost $30+ USD per night. There's a P3 parking lot next to the hotel's and if you're lucky enough to snatch a space it's free from 6:00 pm to 9:00 am. There are parking garages closed by; download the app PARKA to help locate one. Plenty of restaurants closed by. Good wifi. Reasonable rates.

Lobby is a bit small with limited meeting space. Hotel is a bit old but very functional.

The hotel was within easy walking distance of the city, the bus stop for things we wanted to do, and a view/walk along the coast.

There was space to open out only one suitcase. There weren't many places to hang towels so they would dry before the next use. A luxury would have been a place to hang coats on the wall just at entry as it was still chilly enough to need a jacket each day. Lastly, some USB sockets for charging would have been helpful.

During our week-long stay, we got everything we needed for a non-fussy holiday: a quiet, clean, and spacious room with the comfortable beds, a handy refrigerator, and a cozy dining area. The shower water has the specific eggy smell of Icelandic geothermal water, but we enjoyed it as a unique local feature. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet food was fresh, tasty and sufficiently varied. The hotel is conveniently located close to the city center and the port. Would definately stay again.
