Charming cabin set off in the woods with a private hot tub was relaxing for the night we were there as we had finished the Golden Circle and were off to explore the Southern Shore. We were out in the hot tub at 9:45 when the Aurora started coming out for about 30 minutes and it ended up the only night we saw them (due to clouds).

There was a designated parking spot but we had to search around and down the paths to find the specific cabin. Other maps on the buildings showed some of the smaller ones, so it'd be helpful to put that map up (maybe on the parking post?).

A lovely, cosy and quiet hut with everything a traveller needs. The setting is lovely, the centre of Selfoss with its shops and restaurants is very close by. The hut was very comfortable (especially the bed) and big, and very good curtains on the windows which is nice in the summer. A few other things we really liked: well-equipped kitchen, large bathroom, sitting area in front of the entrance, parking a few meters away and everything was very clean. I would return anytime, alone or with a family, for a shorter or longer stay as well. We were really glad that this was our last accommodation, because it was a great end to the trip. Thank you for everything!

There a private nice patio which is cute and nice to have a cup of coffe on. Has microwave and mini kitchen. Has jacuzzi on property (we didnt tried it). Cat running around , arriving sometimes for belly rubs. 3 min car ride to big supermarket and other stores and restaurants.

Everybody walks near the window so it's always closed. You have to walk with your stuff from the parking on the grass which is super uncomfortable if you have suitcases. You do have a terrace but its so hot outside even at 8 oclock that its impossible to sit more than 5 minutes. (Weve been in July). Everything was outdated in the showers, rusty and old. The whole vibe of the place is a huge campersite and hundreds of people with tents , like some festival, the cabins are very close to each other like you could really hear anyone talk in any direction of you. Was expecting a much calmer peaceful romantic getaway environment. Loud music during the day, since as I said it's a campersite.

It was perfect for our stay. It had a small kitchen, but well equipped and enough for prepping some quick meals. Easy check in using a door code. We had some issues using the code until we figured out you need to push the numbers very gently and then it worked. We also had some issues starting the stove and the personnel was very nice, come to show us how to do it. Felt pretty stupid, but they were very nice about it. Seemed the "lock key" was on, all we had to do was push that lock button to unlock it. Room was big enough for us -2 adults and 1 teen. It could fit 4 people. Perfect location for us to visit the Lava tunnel and the Golden Circle

I would've liked to have had 3 chairs at the table instead of 2. For 3 people we pulled the table side close to the bed so one person would use the bed to sit on, but for 4 people it would've been a challenge to eat at the same time

Good location for the "Golden Circle" natural monuments. Bungalow comfortably warm even when freezing outside (geothermal heating + hot shower!), comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Super easy self check-in (numeric code sent in advance; we would not have to even meet the guy from the reception but we did anyway, as we needed his help to understand the operation of the stove; he gave us a physical key to make entering easier).

Traces of mold in some corners - perhaps inevitable in this kind of building and environment. Also a bit more shelves for food in kitchen and for our stuff in general would be helpful.

We loved the overall room - cute, clean, spacious, comfortable. It had all that we needed for our stay and it was nice and comfortable and warm. The location is great and close to everything. It's a quiet area and nicely attended. People who work here are also extremely nice and I would definitely come back again.

Unfortunately the cabin that we had shared a wall with another cabin and the walls were extremely thin and we could hear the full conversation of people next to us. Thankfully, they were as quiet as we were overall and we had a nice quiet night regardless.

Spacious living room. Good size bedrooms, big deck and nice and conveniently located hot tub that can be accessed through the bathroom. The home is secluded from other buildings on the property and backs into nice birch woods. Having a hot tub was a nice treat especially in the cool temps in Iceland.

Would have liked if the TV channels worked, and the shower faucet didn't leak water and actually switched from hot to cold. Needs to be replaced. Also a piece of advice to those who plan to stay in these houses, wash the hot tub thoroughly. It looks clean when it's empty but after it's filled with water all the hairs and dirt from prior use shows up.

We had a delightful experience at Gesthuss Selfoss, a charming guesthouse nestled in the city of Selfoss. We got a triple room and the beds weren't the best in comfort

Great value for money! There is a small, basic kitchenette available for cooking. We weren't able to turn our induction cook top on but the staff from the reception were able to help fix it. Good location and it was nice to have a dining area in the space. I was sent self check-in instructions but when we tried to unlock the cabin, the key pad kept saying "incorrect code". I went to the reception and was told that this can happen when it's too cold. The problem was sorted out easily but something to be aware of when checking in as the reception is not open 24/7. We enjoyed the shared hot tub. We ended up being the only people who braved the snow to go there so it was even better!

Location was fantastic, close to the town but felt like out in the forest. close to very nice restaurants and very quiet. The hot tub was great. very relaxing

A site map in the email would have been handy. we arrived quite late in the evening so there were no staff about and it was very dark so took us a while wandering about to find the cabin. but no other problems at all.
