We loved the quaintness of this property. The pool was lovely. The food was really tasty, the restaurant even had lots of people visit who were not staying at the hotel. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. My senior mother hurt her ankle whilst in Alleppey and they were incredibly caring and went above and beyond to help her out.

There wasn’t much within walking distance of the hotel but this did mean it was nice and quiet at the hotel.

It is worth staying here to appreciate the beautiful Colonial building and original furniture. The bedroom was huge and the bed was unique. There is a haven of peace in the inner courtyard and a large warm swimming pool, which we had to ourselves. The staff are friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant was very popular and the food was excellent. Especially the big pot of masala chai with breakfast. The waiter was helpful choosing food that was not too hot. We had some of the best food on our trip here. We also enjoyed the on-site Ayurveda massage facilities. They were very professional and we felt fantastic afterwards. A kettle was provided when we asked for one. We got a Tuk Tuk driver outside for the day and he took us to some stunning churches and a local temple. The highlight was the Ravi Karuna Karan memorial museum which is not to be missed. Marari beach at sunset was also very spectacular.

Unfortunately the property is on a very busy road with a new flyover being built directly outside. It is noisy and we could hear the road from our room. Across the road is Alleppey beach which is vast and the sand is very hot! There is no shade and nothing there. The sea is rough.

The residency has a beautiful colonial vibe; wood is a big part of the structure in the rooms and common areas, there are mostly open or wide spaces, and greenery fills in everywhere -the dining area was specially beautiful, open on the sides and surrounded by plants. Staff is friendly, and the food delicious -there is a wide assortment of food and drinks. The room was clean, big and had a little terrace with a private table where we could have our meals served. Outside of the hotel there is usually a lot of traffic, but the hotel really felt like a relaxing oasis in the middle of that craziness.

Unfortunatelly, one of my clothing items got ruined when I had it washed by the laundry service. I think this is an external service (so not provided by the residency itself), but still the residency accepted to return the full cost of the laundry service, which I appreciate.

My second time staying at Raheems. Loved it the first time and this stay was no different. Hidden gem for sure. Staff superfriendly and helpful. Great location, clean pool and good food in the hotel restaurant

Not much to choose from in the included breakfast. Gate to the hotel closing early in the evening and same security guy kind of harshly telling us the restaurant is closed every night even though we were almost the only people staying at the hotel at the time. One would think it would not be so difficult to remember our faces.

Gorgeous colonial style spacious rooms with a big comfortable antique style bed. Nice furnishings and quirky furniture. Lovely pool. Friendly very helpful staff. A large cool library area to sit and read . A good selection on the menu, great chef , not expensive .

Nothing really, visually the new flyover doesn’t enhance the property , but we just didn’t notice it once we entered . It is a little old school haven

As my original room did have too many mosquitoes, I got a free upgrade to a room with no mosquitos at all and this room was perfect! The whole hotel area is really beautiful decorated, the pool area great for relaxing, the food great and the distance to the beach is very close. Also I want to mention the great hotel staff, who were really friendly and my driver Firoz, who drove me very confident and safe to different places such as an Elephant Park.

As they leave all unbooked rooms open the whole time, mosquitos are free to go everywhere. This should be overthinked.

This is a gem of a hotel old colonial style, full of teak wood ceilings and antique furniture our bed 4 poster, we needed a stool to get up to it. The staff can't do enough for you especially Lee, who was so attentive, and always made sure you had everything you needed. The pool a real bonus, and you can also sit there at night. The food in the restaurant is excellent and was always very busy in the evenings. It's very easy to get to the Backwaters by Tuk Tuk.

There are roadworks opposite the hotel, and was a little noisy at night, but didn't effect out enjoyment of the hotel

Lovely decor airy rooms relaxing pool area. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. Restaurant food was good and they also serve alcohol, I like a cold beer after a days exploring.

Shocked when I arrived by the looming flyover almost above the hotel. Why the local government thought that was a good idea for the town is beyond me. However it was not noisy and did not interfere with the charm of the hotel, so do not let this put you off.

This is an excellent, small and charming hotel perfect as as base for exploring the backwaters and Alleppey. The superior/deluxe rooms are worth the extra money, spacious, lovely antique furniture and huge comfortable bed. The swimming pool was a bonus and good for chilling out after sightseeing. The restaurant serves excellent local cuisine and staff super helpful. A perfect find and surpassed our expectations.

Sadly there is some construction work going on outside of a huge highway scheme which was a bit noisy.

Lovely, interesting furniture around the hotel. Nice pool. Location is next to the beach and close to the railway station. The restaurant feels outdoor, which is nice.

Location is now next to a flyover, which looks 'unfortunate' but doesn't really impact the experience. However, there isn't much within walking distance but tuktuks readily available.
