Breakfast was excellent and the food was really tasty. There were both standard Indian fare and the Karnataka ethnic cuisine on offer and we really enjoyed every meal at the facility

The Log Hut was maintained really well but due to the nature of the construction of the Log Hut, we had squirrels coming into the room. This caused a bit of disturbance to us. However, we understand the efforts that the staff put into the maintenance of the room and the helpful nature. They responded immediately whenever a squirrel was discovered in the room and humanely removed the animal, releasing it to the outside environment.

Amazing hotel with all you can ask for - beautiful scenery, attentive staff and beautifully decorated. The food was very nice and the safari option is a great plan to spend your day.

Booking through booking.com didn’t work so well - they reject the card as booking certificate and then ask you for a direct payment before you arrive. It feels a bit outdated and I would have preferred to pay on arrival or through a secure link.

The rooms are super clean and well maintained. Staff are extremely courteous and always greet all their customers with a smile. The hospitality was top notch and it made our stay even more comfortable. Kudos to the entire staff and management at The Serai Bandipur for being such an amazing host. Will definitely recommend others and would visit again too!!

Stay & ambience … so peaceful stay

Very expensive for food … breakfast is free … what about lunch & dinner … veg Briyani is 450 Rs ( approx ) chicken Briyani 600 Rs … be careful with food . As it is too expensive… it’s not worth to pay that expensive for food . Food is also not that great , I can say it’s average… there is say , something is better than nothing … that doesn’t mean , you can charge what ever you want . If anyone wants bills which I paid , let me know , I can send it. In terms of food , I say , it’s a wrong choice to stay in this resort . Nothing is fresh , it’s all frozen. Please don’t try fish & mutton . It’s worst . Chicken atleast it’s good to eat & most important, then don’t have choice in the menu also. So, foodies stay away … I guarantee you guys , you definitely think of me !!! Lol .

The overall property is so strategically located and so well maintained. Excellent bed room and everything else in it. Sit out was just so amazing listening to the chirping of birds and interesting nature sounds. Excellent food at the restaurant and staff are so well behaved. Naturalist is a great value, makes the nature walk and the safari so much more interesting. The Greenery in the property is so amazing, feels so good to be in the lap of nature amidst so much luxury 🥰

Bathroom - atleast the ones that we were assigned. Faucets were so old and clunky, loose, with lot of hard water stains. Wash basin tap was coming off, both hand and overhead showers were not working properly. Lack of shower curtain makes the whole bathroom messy and slippery. Pool cleanliness can be improved, lot of mud/ dust. Dressing area light wasn't working. Had to get it fixed. Wifi was not at all working, that I missed a work call and even the dongle provided was just 2mbps and very sloppy.

Staff were amazing. The rooms were beautiful and the cleanest ones we had on our trip. Spotless. Great facilities at the hotel too. Pool, bar and restaurants were great. food was fantastic and with a great choice.

2 out of the 5 of us ended up with a bad stomach and considering that we hadnt left the resort, it must have been from something we ate there.

I have been to various Serai properties in Karnataka and this one is one of the nicest Serai properties. Tucked away right next to Bandipur Tiger Reserve, it is an excellent wilderness getaway. The rooms are high quality - especially loghuts have the African tent safari feels and courtyard rooms are also nice. The property has all amenities including foosball, billiards/pool, ..the staff is amazing - very courteous and great service. We went in Dec 2021 where breakfast was included in the room fare but rest of the food was ala carte. Breakfast has an excellent spread with everything including idlis/dosa/continental breakfast, puri bhaji, etc...The food from the menu is slightly pricey (depending on your appetite and taste but it is easy to spend 1000INR per person per meal) but it is really delicious. There is not much to do here other than nature walk that they do in the evenings and game drives (this is on extra charges).

Most rooms maximum allow 3 people; they just have 1 room called superior courtyard that fits in 4 people due to an extra room. This means a family of 4 with 2 teens have to book 2 rooms unless they get the superior courtyard which is just 1 room. I understand why they restrict to 3 but if they can make an allowance for 4 for family with 2 teens who want to share a room; there is space to put two small rollaway beds in most room types including residence, loghut and courtyard. Let the family have the choice instead of forcing them to book two rooms.

Everything was fabulous. The room, property, food, staff were great. Can't complain. The property is in the middle of the jungle , well protected from wild life by electric fencing. They have Courtyard and residence rooms. We chose Courtyard rooms this time. Having stayed at residence before, it doesn't matter as I would prefer these rooms over bigger counterparts. Residence has extra terrace (which attracts insects given that its in the jungle) and a separate sitting area, whereas, Courtyard rooms have sitting area in the same room. Since the courtyard are still very big ; facilities are on par, I would recommend these.

This was my first stay with Serai properties and I was very happy with my overall experience. The property is amidst the Bandipur Forest reserve and is cosily tucked away beautifully. Surrounded by the view of the Nilgiris and the deep forests, it makes a wonderful choice for any kind of travellers who are looking towards a short vacation for relaxing your mind & body as well us punch in some adventure. Great food, great staff make it a great experience. The food, swimming pool are good additions to the resort. Lastly, a wonderful Spa experience at their in-house spa "OMA"

I loved the location the spa the layout of the property as well as the staff and service . The views as well as the sit-out in our room was cherry on the cake. Special shout-out to Rathish from the spa. Very positive personality and excellent service at the spa which I highly recommend
