The hotel is really beautiful & looks exactly like the photos. It is extremely clean & comfortable, and in an excellent location. The breakfast buffet is very good, with lots of options. The staff were lovely & accomodating (even making us a packed breakfast to go when we checked out early). The free walking tour offered is really interesting & I would thoroughly recommend people get up early to attend. The guide is very knowledgeable & we definitely learnt about the local area.

It is a traditional, older style property - so the room is very dark. This wasn’t an issue, as we spent our days exploring but may not be to some people’s taste.

Literally an Oasis in the great of Ft Kochi. Service and friendliness of the staff was amazing. They were all friendly but especially Matthew, Joe, Arjun, Soni and Allathiya, they helped explain the wonderful items both Indian and western choices on the huge breakfast buffet. Since 95% of the Indian restaurants in the US are north Indian Punjab style, the healthier and more flavorful Kerala food needed some explanation but the seafood choices and variety of cooking styles were outstanding. I got three ayurvedic treatments and they were the best I had in Kerala. That means the cleanest and the 15 year experienced therapist. The refurbished mansion was delightful. The manager Joseph helped me navigate a delicate situation with a tuk-tuk driver in front of the hotel 🙏. Hint: best to use Uber

We loved the history of the building which has been very thoughtfully and stylishly renovated. The rooms were delightfully furnished (beautiful carved furniture, pretty tiles, gorgeous fabrics etc.) and spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and really looked after us. Particularly when our flight was cancelled and we had to book an extra night - which meant moving to another, much larger and even more exquisite room on the upper floor. The restaurant was excellent and we also really enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea served in the beautiful courtyard by the pool every day. And the morning sightseeing walk included in our stay was wonderful - the guide was excellent and it really enhanced our stay. We loved Forte Kochi and had a very happy few days here.

The hotel has a historic heritage that makes a stay here a truly unique experience. The team shows care to the guests, from the online guest reservation team who suggested an extra night reservation to guarantee early check in to Chacko at front desk who finished our check in process in our room as we are very tired from our overnight journey. Ashak was very attentive to our F&B orders in the lounge and chef always check in on our level of satisfaction with our food. The hotel has two storeys and no lift, but it has a two man butler team to transport the luggages. We were here for a short two day stay but it really felt like home. They arranged our airport transport and were attuned to which guests had what tour arranged and would alert us when our guides came. The location is perfect with many shops nearby and also local eats (But keep one meal at the hotel for the traditional Kerala dance show). Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to experience Kochin. The aryuvedic massage was a highlight for a senior traveling with us as her legs were so tired from waking and the masseuse would schedule follow up appointments. All in all, it made our holiday experience so heart warming.

only bed option was soft single bed beside double bed - my preference is a firmer bed and would have preferred a king or queen size bed coffee option was only very small cup

Forte Kochi was one of the most comfortable and inviting place we have ever stayed. The rooms were perfectly sized for a couple, the beds comfortable and the aircon refreshing after a hot day. The buffet breakfast every morning had variety, with delicious local and Indian food. We also loved the afternoon tea by the pool - chai every day! But, the absolute best thing about this hotel is the staff. Every staff member is kind, thoughtful and considerate - we felt so taken care of and there was never anything too much for them to do, especially when we needed help. It really made our stay. Location wise, this is the perfect spot to stay to access all of Fort Kochi’s restaurants and cafes. Within walking distance to great places to have local Keralan food and great coffee. Mary’s was one of our favourite places to eat! Getting an auto is also easy from out the front. Niyas was our auto driver for our entire trip, and he has an amazing knowledge of his home town, he showed us around and took us to all the major sites Fort Kochi has to offer.

Everything was beautiful!

Though we arrived late evening, the hotel is charming, warm and welcoming. We went for an extended weekend to see a bit of Fort Kochi and to relax and this was the perfect place to do it. The staff are excellent - a fine balance of professional and personal touch and they go the extra mile. I think in today's context, Forte Kochi staff have been trained and reflect the excellent Indian hospitality ethos that many hotels aspire to but fall short. Located right in the centre of Fort Kochi, the hotel makes for easy access to walk around. The hotel itself is delightfully bright in decor and makes for a picture postcard view both during the day and night. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the amenities are generous and of good quality. Housekeeping was attentive and ensured that all our needs were met. The restaurant offers a delectable mix of options, all tasting excellent. The breakfast buffet and a complimentary high tea spread only makes you eat more!! Every member of the team was super helpful and efficient and while we deeply appreciate their support in making our weekend a memorable one, special thanks to Shalu, Aaron, Fasna, Sony, Alathiya, Arjun, Jibin and Aakash for going above and beyond.

The only thing I 'd like different in the hotel is bathroom ventilation (especially during monsoon season) when things just don't dry. The windows are high above and along the main corridor making it both difficult and uncomfortable to have them open. An exhaust fan or other option would be handy if it's possible.

Exceptional hotel! From remarkable design to very helpful staff this is the place to stay near Fort Cochin. Apart from general amenities they have really good restaurant and spa facilities on site and can help you with any kind of activities. A bit far from Ernakulam if you want to do shopping but easily reachable with ferries. I will definitely stay there again if ever come to Cochin.

• The internet is not really speedy and its quality is uneven across the hotel • The swimming pool a bit small for a good swim (especially if you consider that the sea is not suitable for swimming either)

Location was perfect, right in the middle of Forte Kochi and walking distance to all the nice spots to visit. The Hotel is located in an amazing building and is an oasis amongst the busy streets. Service is just wonderfull, you're welcomed with a drink, there is afternoon tea with snacks every day and a free walking tour at 7am which I highly recommend. Staff was very friendly, they kept my bags while I traveled around Kerala and upon my return I could stay in the room till 7PM (with extra pay) because I had a late flight. The restaurant was excellent as well, would definitely recommend staying here.

I had an absolutely marvelous stay at the Fort Kochi Hotel! As a vegan, it's not always easy to find quality satvic cuisine that is both delicious and adheres to dietary principles, but the Fort Kochi Hotel excelled on this front. Their Indian dishes were flavorful, fresh, and left me feeling nourished and satisfied. The Ayurvedic massage offered at the hotel was a highlight, providing not only relaxation but also a sense of rejuvenation that carried me through my travels. The private yoga classes were another standout feature, thoughtfully tailored and set in a serene environment that enhanced the experience. The hotel's proximity to Jew Town and other cultural attractions made it a perfect base for exploring the area. Whether I was strolling through bustling markets or visiting historic sites, I appreciated the convenience of the location. The staff at Fort Kochi Hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Speaking of comfort, the beds were just divine—ensuring a good night's sleep after a day filled with activities. The overall environment of the hotel was immaculate and beautifully maintained, reflecting the care and attention to detail that the staff put into every aspect of the service. Whether you're here for the food, the wellness offerings, or just a relaxing getaway, Fort Kochi Hotel is a gem that truly makes your visit special.
