Lovely old colonial lodge in quiet garden away from the hectic rush of Shimla. Fabulous rooms, nice bathroom, limited breakfast but lovely lounge area with antique furniture. Far from shopping area and Mall Road but an easy taxi ride. Efficient laundry and taxi service. Fabulous view from garden over Himalayas.

Slow service in restaurant. Overcharging for a basic breakfast.

Its an old bunglow of a erstwhile royalty which has been converted to a boutique hotel. Its a nice little cosy place with limited no. of guests. If you are looking for an unique stay experience different from cookie cutter hotel chain, this is a place to go. The staff were very courtoues specially Mr. Manohar Sharma and he took good care of our familly.

Its an old house, so things are little bit on the antique side. In fact it adds to the character of the place. However, some people may not like it.

I like the view from the place. It was awesome. My room was in front of the garden and loved waking up with this awesome view. The hotel is a heritage palace, everything there was stored and preserved in a good manner.

I think just because it is a heritage the price is a little high. But, I can understand that other heritage palaces also have the higher price. Somehow I don't feel worthy of money.

The property was very beautiful! Aesthetic and totally takes you back in time. You'd love it if you love vintage interiors and it also has a cute garden. The place is quite easy to reach as well.

Overall the experience was good. However, the rooms are slightly overpriced and apparently realised booking.com excludes the taxes at the time of booking.

The ambience of the hotel & the staff were very nice, the view from the garden was mesmerizing. I really liked the food there as they have ample options...overall gr8 stay and value for money. Must visit when u r in Shimla....

Springfield is a heritage property which is located in Chittagong Shimla that gives you a good approach to the Mall Road area of Shimla. -The rooms are too large and comfortable. We loved to stay at this property more because of the staff here who make you feel at home. Such courteous staffs makes your stay pleasant and comfortable. We will always cherish our interaction with them. -WiFi service is excellent so it’s a good place for travellers who are working as well. -Food served is fresh and cooked well. We loved the chicken spring rolls and tandoori mushroom.

Although the property is located very close to Mall Road, which is advantageous but at the sAme time the disadvantage is that property is on the busy road and sound of horns is heard.

The food was extremely good especially the breakfast as everything was made to order. The staff was very hospitable and politely took all our requests. The property manager was very helpful in planning the trip to Narkanda and offered assistance to reach safely. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. This hotel is ideal for those who are looking to spend time with family/partners as they have a bit of open space to enjoy the mesmerizing view of Shimla valley while sipping tea in the garden area.

The choice of furniture is certainly matching to the theme however the furnishings require more care. Also, every food item on the menu was tasty however I felt that they can slightly increase the quantity of serving in-room serving. I am sure they would give more serving if we had asked. Also, the hotel is located towards the other end of Mall road which limits your eating spots as you would either take a car or walk to the mall road which would take some time.

The heritage ambience was lovely. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was a la carte and the taste was good.

Room heater could have been turned on at the dining place as well during breakfast and dinner times. Ordered roti and chicken gravy for dinner and the taste was average but pricey.

Heritage look of the property and inside heritage amenities, excellent behaviour of Ishwar and Manohar Sharma, peaceful place for families

Lack of understanding among staff regarding cost of food, lack of complimentary breakfast, menu written was confusing for staff as well

The property is in good location. All major attractions are in reach from the property. The food is very nice and rooms are very spacious and clean. Its an old palace. The staff is very polite, courteous and helpful especially Mr. Surender Singh and all other members as well. Its very good stay for a family here.

Not much of a complaint.
