The location of the property was perfect, really central and a close walk to the beach. The interiors were beautiful, every nook had art pieces or installations which made the experience really special. There was a curated playlist that you could switch on in your room as well. The team really looked after their guests !

There was no basic coffee machine in the room. I think this is one detail that really needs to be addressed- also the owner of the restaurant was different to that of the property so if you ordered a coffee from room service you could not charge it to the room/ settle on check out. It wasn’t a huge inconvenience but I think it would be great if there was a coffee machine in each room for convenience.

The room and facilities were stunning - very chic and contemporary. It really felt so luxurious. The staff were so kind and extremely available and helpful with any request or questions. The cocktails and food were both delicious. Highly recommend splurging for the private pool room - it is so so worth it.

We loved everything! If I have one comment it would be that we would have loved the asian lunch/dinner options to be available for breakfast - we found that most places (the slow included) seem to only offer western breakfast which is a little disappointing as I love Indonesian food and can get western breakfast anywhere back home. The breakfast was still amazing though! Cannot fault this place.

The rooms all had no television at all. I booked a pool room but did not receive one. Standard toiletries such as ear plugs and lotions were at an additional cost to the price of the room, which I found insulting; there was a ‘menu/price list’ for the toiletries provided to outline the additional charge prior to opening anything.

Loved the architecture of the hotel - minimalist modern design, lots of polished concrete and refined stylish fittings. Super comfy bed, large clean bathrooms and bedrooms. The DIY espresso martini kit on arrival at the room was a nice touch! Location is very convenient, with a lot of restaurant and shopping options nearby. Don't bother with taxis if you can avoid it - hop on the Grab bikes and save yourself time and money for zipping around Canggu. The restaurant/bar on the ground floor (Maize) had great cocktails and food - surprisingly always empty, which seemed a shame.

If you accept that there's going to be some road noise and music from the bar/club across the street, then there's nothing that stood out as an area of improvement.

The design of the rooms is excellent and all amenities you could wish for are present. The location on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong puts you smack in the middle of the action. The staff on-site is friendly and accommodating.

It is likely a byproduct of past bad experiences with guests, but the tone in the (standard) messages leading up to our stay was anything but hospitable. There was the heads up about noise from passing motorbikes and music downstairs which was definitely necessary. Yet it all could have been brought in a far better way. The tone used was reminiscent of being read your rights where anything you say/do can and will be used against you. Room for improvement there

We loved our stay at The Slow. We had a fabulous room with a pool. The room was very generous as well as tasteful. The staff were friendly and the servicing of the rooms was superb. We also enjoyed the food. Excellent Pad Thai and Chicken Sate. Would happily stay at The Slow again.

The curation of the art on display in the gallery could be improved upon. Talent should be a prerequisite.

To be completely honest….i love absolutely everything and I couldn’t find anything to whinge about. I read reviews before the booking and I thought it’s a little bit funny when people book a hotel in the middle of Canggu and complain about the noise….why? Of coarse there is going to be life! The location is absolutely amazing, beautiful people around, great restaurants, cafes and of course service at the hotel is above 5 stars! And the room was absolutely amazing. Love love love!

Absolutely loved our stay at The Slow! Stunning interior design, fully equipped room, wonderful staff, great location close to cafes/restaurants/beach clubs and Maize (the restaurant out front) is amazing!

Nothing! We saw some other reviews noting noise given it is close to the street but didn't find any issues, even staying in the room closest to the front - the room also has earplugs in the bathroom amenity kit.

the decor and architecture are amazing. is very simple but full of details. the general relaxed vibe is invigorating and the staff is very caring and efficient. room was super cool and big, shower very wide. all full of art pieces and a very thoughtful design. food is also very good, and the rooftop is also very nice.

noise at the property is high during night, not only because is located at one of the main roads of canggu, but because the glazing is not noise proof. it was hard to fell asleep with the motorbikes and music around. is a pity that the property has no common pool.

I liked the location and the room was stunning! the staff were exceptional and very friendly…. walking distance from all main locations and parking for your bike!! you receive toiletries, turndown service and filtered water everyday also which is great’

even though I knew there was no pool (suites with pool were sold out during my stay) it really lets the hotel down as it’s nice to come back to in the day or have the option to chill so that was the only downside. there is a rooftop you can sit and chill but it’s just a roof nothing happening up there!! very quiet hotel
