Gorgeous landscaping, pools, flower displays, and great food, music and hospitality by staff.

1) Many of the guests took over the pool chairs for hours even when they went to lunch for 1-2 hours… I was told by the pool staff that it was full but i insisted on getting in the pool anyway and had to wait for chairs that were “claimed” as belonging to those who left belongings and returned later. There should be a “no parking” rule as there are more guests than lounge chairs. Guests said things like “you snooze, you lose!” Maybe have a two hour limit and staff to monitor?

Excellent breakfast - choice and quality. Lovely, spacious, quiet room, great views, comfortable bed and loved the decor. Great service from staff, felt really special here and everyone was so friendly. Spa is incredible. Pools are amazing. Loved the floating breakfast, spa treatments and romantic dinner. Amazing touches with robes and bags to use complimentary with the stay. Hotel manager went out his way to speak with us, learn our names and room, and ensure we were enjoying our stay.

No mosquito net around the bed. So many bugs - we used some insect repellent before dinner and came back to about 150 dead ants. A gecko fell on my head in our villa. Lizards in our room. Poor lighting at night - couldnt do makeup well and almost stepped on frogs. No plug sockets near mirrors - hard to do hair. Pool was much smaller and colder than expected in our villa, didnt end up using much because of it. We booked a romantic dinner and staff got the wrong date, we almost were charged a fee and told we couldnt do it anymore but this was rectified thankfully.

I arrived around 3pm. The staff put me waiting in the lobby for almost 1 hr. At the same time, they gave a room to an American couple in 10min they arrived. The next day when I finished my massage around 12:30 (their only available time slot) and asked for a late check out around 1pm. The staff was rude and said no to me. I need to beg her for 15min to go back to the room and get changed. And the door key was expired so I had to go to reception again to validate it. To be honest it’s an awful experience for a luxury resort.

It is a huge territory in a jungle, with a park, tennis courts, swimming pools . One of the swimming pools is located near the river surrounding by forest. Breakfast is fantastic with choices of balenese and international cuisine

The shuttle bus to the town runs only once an hour and only until 5 pm

Out of the hustle and bustle of the busy roads and towns, this resort was so quiet, peaceful and offered true R&R. We had a villa with a private pool, the buffet breakfast was great and catered for Gluten Free station (my husband is Coeliac) and the Spa overlooking the riverside was stunning. The resort has great facilities, gym, 2 x pools (3 if you count the small baby pool) nice and spacious, security gate at the entrance (not that this worried us) there is several locations to eat, the Riverside Cafe does some great Italian food.

The only 1 thing I could think of was the damp smell in the villa from the AC machine but that is also understandable given the amount of rain that falls each day. Everything else was impeccable and the staff we all very friendly and accommodating.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, & I travel extensively. Extremely well managed- it shows up in dedicated staff at various levels pouring their hearts into service. Very rarely do I not have to go to senior managers for poorly addressed issues, & this is one such stay. Thank you.

We stayed at the Maya for a total of 5 nights in a pool villa room. The experience at the Maya Was exceptional. From the food, the staff, the experiences (we did a Villa Grill and used the spa 120 minute couples package). The location of the hotel is in the heart of the jungle in Ubud and the nature surrounding the hotel was breathtaking. They offer a lot of complimentary services - yoga / rice paddy walking tour/ forest trail hiking and free afternoon tea. All the services were incredible. The room was extremely clean, the pool was maintained daily and they fogg for mosquitoes, which there was no issue at all with! The breakfast buffet was super delicious and the lunch and dinner menus were amazing ! All the food and drinks were of extremely high standard. And finally. The staff at the Maya From the front office, the gardeners, the chefs and the waiting staff were always so helpful, full of smiles making you feel like home. Maya was one of the best hotels I have ever visited and would not hesitate to return !! 100/10 recommend for anyone visiting Ubud or Bali In general

Nothing - everything was incredible

One of the best resorts we have ever been to. Great service, very nice villa, lots of amenities, very diverse breakfast. We had a private butler Mei who was a golden man: he booked us additional services, remembered how much water we needed, and took care of the laundry. Simply full service. There are a lot of cool attractions on the premises, so I highly recommend it for families, especially with children.

It's hard to find anything. Not to leave an empty window here - the shower gel dispenser did not work. But I'm writing this as a joke - this place was and is wonderful!

Grounds: Exceptional - what a stunning property. Pools: Amazing, particularly the infinity pool overlooking the jungle and river. Room: Beautiful , lovely furniture including a couch to relax on. The room was beautifully styled, very comfortable and well equipped.

The staff were friendly but not particularly outstanding, less friendly and personable than other places we've stayed. Service for dinner was slow and we were only offered 1 drink in 2 hours (there was Balinese dancing during this time but I still would have expected better service). The bath kept filling up when showering. The water wasn't draining away.
