The room was really nice and spacious, the staff were all so so friendly! Very useful having a shuttle bus into Ubud as was too far out to walk- would have been nice if it was more regular and ran later (once an hour up to 9pm) but taxis were cheap enough if we missed one!

The door to our balcony didn’t close properly meaning that our room was very loud and we had a lot of bugs coming in. We were close to the restaurant and got woken up early every day. On the first evening there was some sort of loud music playing which went on until 12am. We only found out on the last day that as guests we could use the jacuzzi in the spa- would have been useful to be told when we arrived so we could actually use it. The first two mornings we had a buffet breakfast which wasn’t very nice compared to an a la carte menu on the third morning which was so much nicer. We understand that a buffet breakfast was used on the first couple of days because there was a large group also staying but would have been great if this didn’t negatively impact our stay.

My boyfriend and I booked The Udaya for our birthday trip—every interaction from booking to check out was lovely. Upon booking, I was contacted via booking.com and whatsapp to confirm arrival times. The resort is 10 minutes drive from Ubud Palace/Ubud Centre, which is easily reached by their free shuttle that departs at the top of the hour. The shuttle arrives promptly at Ubud Centre at 10 minutes after the hour, and guests can catch the shuttle back to the resort on its way back up the hill. The Udaya is stunning, beautifully landscaped and cared for by its kind staff. The main pool area is beautiful and quiet—there are plenty of loungers, as well as round cabana lounges and a fire pit on the way up to the restaurant. The grounds are covered in greenery and exotic flowers, as well as having a beautiful koi pond. There are wild animals all around Bali, so naturally there are noises throughout the day :) We booked the One Bedroom Pool Villa for 10 nights. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with tons of space for unpacking, lounging, and relaxing. The bathroom features both a shower and a large stone tub, along with his and her sinks. The resort crew took care of any amenity or question we had with kindness and thoughtfulness. We appreciated the small touches, such as nightly turndown service and complimentary mineral water. The beds are comfortable—firm but plush, and the mosquito net is a welcome addition. We ordered room service and ate at the restaurant quite often during the trip (especially late night), and especially loved the hotel's breakfast. Udaya served as a home base for us to take day trips and also explore Ubud. Udaya's location is the perfect escape from the busy city centre. We took advantage of everything The Udaya had to offer, including the Kaveri Spa, the in-room Citrus bath (a must! the pandan was so fragrant), the New Moon Dinner, and even our engagement :) We can't wait to come back and visit.

We have a wonderful stay at The Udaya Resorts and Spa, for our honeymoon in Bali Ubud. All the team was so nice, welcoming, helpful, responsiveness (especially by Whatsapp) to our requests, from the beginning to the end. Plus, the hotel is a in a quiet place, which is perfect for a restful stay, with a lot of vegetation like in the middle of paradisiac land, with high quality equipments and services (spa, massage, gym, yoga, swimming pool, restaurant with services at table), and only at 8 min in free shuttle from the crowdy city center. We have enjoyed special couple treatment in the hotel, such as the Couple Massage Rejuvenating and Flower Celebration, Candlerlight Dinner in the Sky Yoga Hut, and private driver service, with interesting discount. It was very appreciated and made our honeymoon memorable. We really recommand the hotel, and are really grateful to all the team for the dream journey we had there.

We love our villa with private pool! Everything was awesome, especially the very courteous and hospitable staff. The floating breakfast was extraordinary. We would like to specifically thank the restaurant staff who made us abundant breakfast boxes at 06:45 for our early departure the other day. We would also like to express our gratitude to the housekeeping staff who set the flower bath up. CS on WhatsApp has always been helpful with timely reply as well. Definitely would recommend Udaya to our friends.

Just a friendly reminder for those who are considering taking the flower bath. Since the flower petals are fresh, caterpillars are inevitable. It would be better if the hotel has stated this clearly beforehand so that the users can be mentally prepared if they have Scoleciphobia. Special thanks to manager Gavin who had handled this issue well.

- We arrived very late in the evening as our flight was delayed but staff were very welcoming and courteous. Loved the refreshment drink on welcome. - We stayed in the pool villa which was large and spacious. Comfortable bed with mosquito net. - Excellent spa on the premises, with 30% seasonal discount applied to price which was nice. - Free yoga class each day at 7:30am which was an added bonus. - Gym on-site was a nice extra. - Overall resort is very well maintained and staff are continuously maintaining the property throughout the day. - Very friendly staff and interested to get to know their guests. - Food in the restaurant is good quality. We had dinner there one night which was excellent. Its a pity more guests dont use the restaurant but appreciate there is so many options in Ubud.

Just recently stayed in this beautiful resort. Absolutely amazing. Nothing to fault. The service was excellent, very friendly & helpful. I was blown away by how beauand peaceful the villa I stayed in was. I stayed in the jungle villa with a private pool. I was a little surprised to find my bathroom was directly outside, so I had a few little crawly friends in the shower with me....but it was all part of the experience. Apart from that...it was such a beautiful place & I'd definitely stay there again in the same Jungle villa. They had a free shuttle service which takes you to the main centre hourly...that was so good. 10 out of 10 overall

Wow! This hotel was amazing - beautiful staff, amazing pool, tropical gardens, stunning huge rooms and less than 10 minute shuttle into the centre of Ubud. Started every day with yoga in the rooftop hut was incredible - especially when a tropical storm blew over, breakfast was delicious and complimentary afternoon tea was a great touch. All staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help us. Loved staying here and wished our holiday was longer.

Amazing resort in the forest with great architecture. We had villa with private pool area and balcony. Room was very nice and big with everything you need. Breakfast was a la carte. Location was ok. About 10 min ride to Ubud city center. There is free shuttle transfer from hotel between 9 am and 10 pm. Anyhow it is also easy to get a taxi. You would need APP GRAB (which is South Eastern Asian version of Uber). SPA center is very nice. We did few treatments. Sky lounge dinner was amazing. Although it was raining, experience was great. Food was very good. Barbecue evening with national dance show was also very good. Gym is small but usable. All equipment was working. WiFi was good. We also booked few activities around. One day we did ATV in the forest. That was wild and amazing experience. Must to do. One day tour with private driver is also recommended. We went to rice terraces, coffee plantation (Luwak coffee), holy water purification temples and waterfalls. Monkey forest is close by in Ubud. Also there are some clubs with live music or DJs normally open till 3 am.

Breakfast could be buffet. It was strange for such hotel and spa that we had limitations for the food in the morning. Also the private pool that we had was cold. We asked management what can be done about it and they said nothing. So, we jumped few times per day in the pool to cool out, but did not use it much. Make sure that you have all products that you need to protect yourself against mosquitoes.

Lovely breakfast, amazing atmosphere and beautifully decorated, pure luxury feel! Even getting back after a long day out on trips to our room ready made up for bed was a little touch we didn’t know we needed! But appreciated. Spa was amazing and very good value for money!! Fish food on our balcony for us to feed the fish outside our room was a highlight! Greeted with an amazing chocolate cake for our honeymoon and decorated our room made us feel super special! Also left some medication in the room on check out and they contacted me straight away by WhatsApp to let me know and kept safe until we organised to have them collected

Slight issue with some maintance in the room. Causing our first night to be unsettled due to the air con being broken, but was rectified by 2am, and light issues with the wardrobe again rectified soon as we let them know
