The location was great, right beside all the shops, cafes, and restaurants! The hotel itself is also very nice and comfortable as well. You can check in and out yourself at a self-service machine in the lobby, or you can chat to someone at the counter in the lobby if you prefer. I would definitely stay here again!

The only thing that we weren't too happy with was our room was a floor below the lobby so our window had a wall directly outside of it. This reduced the amount of light into our room and we had no view. I think these rooms should be at a reduced rate compared to others of the same with a view.

Good location for visiting the city and our family. Room was good size and comfortable. Very clean. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were very helpful. Easy to push my mum around in her wheelchair and although there were stairs up to the reception, there was a lift. Kids club available in the evenings in July & August for free.

Breakfast not being included. No shampoo or body lotion, only soap and body wash, yet description states toiletries are available in the room. I expected a full range. Only 1 hook in bathroom so limited places to hang wet towels and mat. Needed to ask for toilet paper to be replenished twice as no extra left in bathroom. Service at times very slow in restaurant.

The Maldron is well situated in Cork, in walking distance of everything. It was our first time staying there, as we usually book a different hotel in that neighborhood. We reserved an executive king room for our three night stay. It was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It's a nice setup for a business stay with a desk and table/chairs. The room was quiet and nice view on the city, but there was an odd musty smell in the hallway and in the room, as if there had been water damage? With the window open, it was OK. The bathroom was spacious and modern with good water pressure in the shower. We took the breakfast two of the three days. It was a very decent buffet with good coffee and the manager of the breakfast room was efficient and polite, going out of his way to make sure everyone was looked after. Overall we had a nice stay and I would book the Maldron South Mall again when traveling for business.

Lack of seating areas outside of the bar/dining area. Despite getting 5 emails to check in online and collecting the key on arrival, the system still didn’t work!

I enjoyed every bit I stayed there starting from the room till the end of our stay breakfast was excellent. Firstly I would like to tell about the room they gave us an extra bed without us asking we were super delighted with our room and Ms Sandra always kept our room clean whenever we were out Secondly the pancakes and waffles were really tasty. Thirdly the location was just perfect for all top places to visit and it was nearest to bus stops as well. Last but not the least the staff were extremely helpful. Ohh and the margarita is a must try

Clean, modern, comfortable, and safe. The bar food was nice.

It was much too expensive. The Maldron Hotel South Mall Cork City was definitely not worth the price I had to pay. Also, one member of the Bar Staff was extremely inattentive. On two occasions I went to the bar, I had the misfortune of needing to be served by her. Even though there were no other customers at the bar, this Barmaid failed to serve me and, on both occasions, other members of staff had to come from elsewhere within the hotel to serve me.
