Did not have breakfast and meeting friends. Room large and v comfortable. my husband worked from the room. Pool was lovely and steam room. Staff at reception v helpful. Bar staff scarce and may need further training but there was party on in hotel. great having water option like sparkling and double filtered in corridor.

Bar was v slow and had to ask other staff for cocktails and drinks info. cold area away from fire.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and professional. The ambience and location of the hotel is excellent.

The only disappointment was the breakfast. The cooked breakfast was cold. There was a lack of choice in the breads and pastries and I would have liked more variety in the fruit on offer.

Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast was amazing but dinner wasn’t as good as I expected. Ordered steak which was very underwhelming for nearly 40 euro nothing on the plate that cheered it up looked like a 6oz steak with a bit of goo (minced mushroom puree) in half a red onion. Very disappointing. My mum had chowder as her main and she said it wasn’t nice she left half. We also waited a while on it and most of our dinner was just warm. One sent back her lamb dish as it was cold in the middle. Staff replaced it tho and that was the nicest dinner on the table. We waited a while on everything so didn’t stay for desert as 40 other guesses arrived for dinner and I think we got overlooked because of them. We all used the spa facilities, treatments were amazing however again I was a little disappointed the no robe was offered beforehand especially to my mother who was getting her first ever facial and had everything done in her jumper and clothes. So when she came out to met us in thermal relaxing room she was fully dressed and we left not long after that as she didn’t want to go back in and get changed. I never got offered my robe before hand either, I did after facial. I think you should be stripped and in robe and slippers before starting any treatment as more relaxing.

One lift was broke and my mum was in a wheelchair so other lift was always busy.

Fabulous location, stunning hotel. Had one of the best sleeps ever!

The only thing was we were there for the graduation but I had been unwell the few days before so appetite wasn’t there. I had known there was a “graduation dinner” of some sorts that could be booked, for either a 2 or 3 course meal before the graduation. However we just wanted say a portion of chips each (again hadn’t the appetite for any more unfortunately due to being unwell). So I asked when we waited to be seated could we just do that….i was met with a blank stare and a nod of the head for a no. Surely it makes no odds (seeing as we had also already stayed, paid for a room and also paid for dinner for 4 people the night before)…but no, were literally told we could not sit and order something small…

The staff were excellent - Katie and Hela on reception in particular were so helpful, efficient, and knew exactly what I needed for my stay. Big comfy bed, Elemis products in the bathroom (shampoo conditioner combo that I'll go out and buy), fridge in the room - all good.

"Coffee making facilities" with instant coffee should be a crime. All kidding aside, the flat white coffee from the dining room was excellent but a coffee machine would have been much better. Windows weren't soundproofed, could hear traffic and noise in the night and the socket by the bed was super far from the nightstand, which was annoying but not the end of the world.

All the staff were so lovely especially the reception staff. We were given a complimentary upgrade as we were celebrating our engagement which was absolutely beautiful over looking the river. The beds are very comfortable and the level of house keeping was top class. The location is absolutely perfect for a Galway city trip, less than 5 minute walk to eyre square yet tucked out of the busyness so it is quiet.

Breakfast had a great selection but felt the quality of the food on the hot buffet could be improved. The fact you have to pay to use thermal suites and car parking should not be extra. You would expect this to be already included in the price especially as the cost per night is quite expensive already.

The location is amazing! We stayed on the adult only floor. The rooms were very big with a fab balcony, his and hers sinks, large bath and shower. We had food in Coopers which was a nice, limited menu but I'm sure something for everyone nonetheless. We used the spa also, both of us had full body massage and facials which was heavenly.looking forward to returning very soon.

Although the hotel was amazing and I will definitely return, there were a few things I would like to see improved. Furniture on the balcony, the weather was lovely during our visit, it would have been nice to sit out with my morning coffee. Our balcony also had loose floor boards that my husband tripped over, (we informed the staff), there was also a lot of cigarette butts on the balcony stone area. The staff in Coopers were very distracted. We got asked 3 times if we ordered whatever dishes they were holding at the time.

Location, welcoming reception staff, excellent decor, room quality, the quality of sleep in spite of the room facing the city, the comfortable bed, the good quality furniture and upholstery in the rooms, the cleanliness (seriously, even the electric kettle was stainless steel and sparkling), the water pressure, the fact that there are sockets and plug points near the bed to charge your phone and near the desk and mirrors - so you can style your hair and do your make up, there is a proper iron and proper hair dryer in the room, ample hangers, the room service is superb , the quality of food all night available from room service was excellent, THE BREAKFAST, the accessible room is GENUINELY accessible, the view...

This is not a criticism, just a note so that you can improve/check: 1) the washbasin pipe was leaking and every time I turned on the tap it poured water over my feet. 2) the air extractor wasn't working properly because the mirrors kept fogging up. 3) the mini bar was completely empty except a couple of bottles of water and some milk. I had asked for some gluten free biscuits and lactose free/vegan milk via Bookings.com website while booking but that wasn't acknowledged/facilitated even though the hotel has a wide selection of "free from" products. 4) the towels weren't crispy clean and seemed a bit worn.

Room was clean and comfortable, late opening of resident’s bar was appreciated as I arrived late via Dublin airport.

As a lone traveller I resent paying the same as a stay for 2. The costs are higher for 2 so that should be reflected in the price and I shouldn’t expect to be charged the same as a couple. I was informed by email the day after I had made the booking that I had requested an extra bed. I had made no such request but the email confirmed 1 adult, in a twin room and a yet another bed required????? An extra charge was added, I tried to phone several times to advise that I had not requested this but my calls were unanswered.

I arrived really early, and it was so nice that they checked me in formally and I could then leave my luggage on hold in the reception until I returned in the afternoon and could get my room. Breakfast was too good to be true...! Steam-room and sauna were really hot and nice!

I still liked!!! If you book a massage (it was very nice), the latest time you can book is at 5pm, as they close at 6pm. If you could book it at later times, like 6 or 7 or 8pm, would be nice, you don't have to rush and if you return from a long day trip you don't miss it out. If your breakfast is not included in the room rate and you plan to pay it separately, pay it all when you do the check-in, if you pay it later, it will be charged more.
